I love this camera, and was so sad when, a week after I purchased it, it fell off a table and landed lens down. The camera and lens itself were fine, but one of the mounting tabs snapped. After a 5 week process I've finally found that the tab is a $4 replaceable part (search for AD61-04244A). Until then I've been making due taking the broken part and inserting it into the camera mount ring. It's been functioning fine, but I'm really looking forward to using this camera once it's fully repaired. The camera and lens are quite large and heavy and you want to be careful on how you handle it.The quality of photos is very good, and the 18-55mm lens gives a good zoom range. I've been used to small handhelds for over a decade now and having the ability to make fine adjustments to zoom and focus makes for some spectacular photography.The one complaint I did hear while reading reviews of this camera is that is 1080p video can be dark with inadequate lighting, but I think that's the case with any camera system.I love the detachable lens. I got a Meade Telescope over Christmas and bought adapters to connect the telescope to the camera, and have some gorgeous pics of the Moon to show for it.I'm giving this 4 stars because of the plastic lens mount (apparently Canon uses metal) and the delay in figuring out replacement parts with Samsung. If you're looking for an SLR clone and can get this camera on the cheap, I recommend it! (I'd also recommend an NCIX ESP plan. I'd much rather deal with NCIX than Samsung for repair)
