-Price-External antenna with cord-straightforward set up-no bloatware -When signal is disconnected it will not connect once again unless adapter is disabled then re-enabled-Cord length too brief like three ft doesnt permit for a lot of alternatives in mounting-driver application doesnt appear to do anything just analyzes the signal unnecessary when windows does this. possibly required by other OS but I would rather just use windows but following uninstalling driver couldnt get windows to recognize. Principal purpose for docked eggs is the loss of conectivity right after signal is disconnected. Getting to go into network connections each day to disable and re-allow adapter is getting old. Secondly, is the brief length of the antenna cable. |

good price tag, performs effectively with Debian Linux as it does with Windows. none known of Thank you EDIMAX for the long antenna wire. I have an earlier version of this card but was annoyed with a too short length of the antenna wire. This a single is much easier to position for ideal signal. |

Worked great with my old XP program and still operates good with my new Windows 7 64bit program. Antenna cable could be a little longer but it operates. I consider its unfair for the several people who RMA'd this simply because it "doesn't work with Win 7 x64". Download an updated driver persons. |

performs for me in my garage .i hooked it subsequent to window facing the house and obtain a signal of 4 bars out of five at a distance of one hundred ft . Signal strength is amazingQuite excellent worthPerforms nicely in Win XP 32-bit Antenna lead wire is type of short for my demands. I ended up utilizing a greater antenna that I had been utilizing on the final card. This replaced a Netgear wireless PCI card that I had been suffering with for a when. I had the new Edimax unit buried in my pile of laptop parts for a long time but by no means got about to trying it out, till I just got so sick of the problems that Netgear junkheap kept providing me. -Effortless install-little size in case (have mine below a power hungry behemoth, i imply my video-card* and i have had no challenges with heat or contact however.-fantastic maneuverability for the antenna -antenna comes with a threaded connection to the card so there's no worries about it accidentally coming unplugged. -slim 6-7ft antenna cord provides good maneuverability. -none however -make positive you have the PCI secured into your case or fastened with twist ties due to the fact if the antenna is pulled it will cause the card to be pulled out of socket also. It worked right away in (k)ubuntu 10.04. It booted, appeared in network manager and showed my wpa wireless network. The connection was functioning and uneventful. none that I know The cord to the antenna is too extended for me as I have a strong signal with the antenna sitting directly on top rated of the laptop. Whether or not that is a pro or con is a matter of wireless and desk geography. |

This card was pretty hassle-free to install and it's operating tremendous on my computer system which is operating Windows 7 and Ubuntu ten.ten. I enjoy the antenna simply because I can move it about to get the perfect signal. None at all :) I made use of to use a USB wireless adapter on my personal computer because it would void my computer systems warrenty if I installed internal hardware but I hated the USB adapter considering that it would constantly overheat and drop my connection. Soon after I installed this card I haven't had any difficulties with my wireless connection. |
