Very good monitor at sale price. The only deception is the speakers. The quality of sound is not good. But the image is good and have nice color and contrast.

Cons: GHOSTING! Bad quality speakers

Pros: Crystal clear image, LOTS of ports on th back
Comment:
Bought this to plug my xbox 360 and my computer, works great with the xbox and movies. But when it comes to PC gaming, specially FPS. This is an awful screen. I would recommend to anyone who is not gaming since the biggest drawback is ghosting.

Cons: Ghosting.

Pros: Inputs Galore! Screen Size! Price!
Comment:
I've got two of these monitors saddling an older model BenQ LCD monitor in my 3x24" Eyefinity desktop. The LCD is oh so slightly quicker, and I do notice -slight- ghosting in videos/gaming when I move look at the EW2420's ... but for the price you simply could do much worse. The build quality is strong. The tilt-mechanism is limited-use but very sturdy. The inputs are great. I have one monitor also connected to my 'office xbox' and switching between the sources is simple enough once you figure out the right method (the second bottom button cycles through inputs). Interestingly enough, I don't notice any ghosting with the xbox.I do find the On Screen Display (OSD) Menu counter-intuitive. but again, how often do you fiddle with settings? Once in a blue moon.Good buy... if I didn't like it I wouldn't have purchased the second monitor

Wondered between this one and Samsung's 24" and decided this one because of the HDMI and built-in speaker. Works very well so far acting as primary display out of my laptop. recommend.

Pros: Very High Quality Product !

I bought this monitor 3 months ago and I am really happy about it. I got this monitor for 180.00$ CAD during christmas sales and it worth the buy ! I play a lot of games and this monitor really do the job ! I played Battlefield 3 and a lot of FPS on this monitor and there's no "lag" or latency, even if this monitor has a 8ms response time ! Conclusion : It really worth the buy !

Cons: slow response time/ghosting, menu popups, flicker

Pros: Size, price, energy efficient
Comment:
Picked this up as an upgrade to my old 17 inch LCD. A mild heart attack when I first powered it up & it looked like it had a bunch of stuck pixels - but it was little bits of fluff (from packaging?). Being LED, it is very energy efficient, averaging at 32.4 watts in use for normal/game/movie/photo modes, 25.4 watts in sRGB mode, and 23.2 watts in 'eco' mode. Phantom load when off is 0.5 watts. It is slower than my old monitor to come back from standby. It is a VA panel, colours are good, nice crisp HD resolution. I'm still playing with the settings to get it just right. Out of the box, I got the worst migraine when using it. There is a subtle flicker that becomes glaringly obvious if you use any monitor calibration software. I think that when you lower the brightness, the LEDs flicker on and off rather than dim to get lower light levels, and it hurts my brain. By setting brightness and contrast to 100 and using it in sRGB or eco mode, I don't get the migraine. It does ghost very obviously when playing games, and I'm not talking about high quality graphics intense first person shooters. The pop-ups are already annoying. Did you know that the "Suggested monitor resolution is 1920x1080"? Don't worry, you'll be reminded ad nauseum. Every single time it detects you are not in 1920x1080, it pops that message up in the middle of the screen for 3 seconds. Happens three different times on boot-up, and every time I tab to a full screen game that doesn't work or look right at 1920x1080 - multiple times when the game menu is different resolution than in-game play. Annoying as hell and I can't find a way to turn it off.I didn't bother to plug in the speakers to try them.Overall it is an improvement from my old monitor - if the migraines stay away - but I went with 3 stars because although it is a good monitor I wouldn't buy a second one for my other pc.

Cons: Speakers are a waste of time and suck. Response time is slow but I don't really notice it.

Pros: For the price very good picture quality, colour and contrast.
Comment:
Got this for a good price on sale. Considering what I paid I am very happy. Don't expect to use the speaker for much as they are a waste of time. If you just need a cheap monitor this works well. If you want a high quality top of the line monitor look at spending more.

Cons: color, speakers, bulk

Pros: Works. Good input combination
Comment:
The color is not true, no matter how hard I tried to adjust it. It seems OK as an HDMI video monitor, but a just-ok computer monitor. It takes unacceptably-long to connect to its input. The speakers are so poor that were I BenQ, I would simply omit them to avoid embarrassment. The shiny, black frame surrounding the screen is an inch wide, 1.5 inches at the bottom, making it look dated. The housing is way thicker than you'd expect from an LED-backlit monitor. It would make an "outstanding" wall mount, protruding at least 3" from the wall.In Summary, the unit works, but I expected far more elegance and performance from BenQ. Greatly disappointed.

Review Date: 10/10/11
Cons: Poor onboard speakers

Pros: Great Connectivity, VA panel, High natural Contrast, Amazing/Stunning Picture quality
Comment:
Tremendous depth in colors, excellent contrast, superb sharpness and accuracy unlike I’ve ever seen or experienced at this price point for monitors before. That is my one liner to describe  this monitor. And I mean it with utmost sincerity. This is not because I got some magical unit from the manufacturer that performs at 150%, this is simply because that statement only applies if you use the monitor the way I do, which I could confidently say 80%+ of the population will. So why is it so great? Merely because for the low price of this monitor you are not only getting superior imaging and quality processing capability you are getting it for the fraction of the cost of an expensive Dell Ultrasharp. The only difference is that the Dell will have slightly more accurate true colors, better viewing angles, and response time. Now the better viewing angles and response times will honestly be useful for professional designers and people who understand the difference. The majority of PC users won’t be able to tell. And another user that would find this unfitting would be people indulged in first person shooter games. If you fall in those 2 categories, then no, this should not be for you; however, if you are like everyone else and like me and want an awesome valued monitor this is it. Not only are the specs good, but you also get ample connectivity. Dual HDMI, DVI, D-Sub, 4 USB, & headphone jack. Regardless, you should buy this monitor from a retailer that has a return policy (most all of them do) and if you don’t like it send it back, but chances are, you’re going to love it!

For the price of this monitor the picture and color are great. The slow response time is visible as ghosting if you are looking for it, however I don't find it to be a major issue.

I bought this monitor for my wife's PC to upgrade her old BenQ FP937S. She absolutely loves it.It is a nice tidy looking unit and the picture quality is leaps and bounds beyond that of the 7 year old TN panel it replaced. Highly recommended if you can find it on sale!

Cons: Requires calibration and some might need to get used to the different colors.

Pros: Affordable VA panel with great colors and contrast.
Comment:
Some people might have to get used to the greyish colors that seem to look washed out compared to TN panels. 8ms response time seems slow compared to other monitors but with AMA on it is barely noticeable. This monitor is VERY affordable especially because it is LED and VA panel. Got it for 189.99 what a STEAL!

Bought this monitor for a friend. I wanted to make sure it worked properly so i tried it, had a "wavey" effect on the bottom line of leds of the monitor. NCIX was very happy to take it back and replace it with a newer model (old one was sept 2010 new one was nov 2010). The new one works perfectly. The only downside to this monitor is the slight slow response time so i can easily see the ghosting when browsing websites, didnt really try out games on it. The built in speakers suck, plain and simple. All in all, you get wat you pay for. would recomend for simple home computer or office computer.

Pros: Lots of video inputs including 2 for HDMI.

Excellent sale price currently for this monitor. It took a while for me to get used to the lower brighness of this monitor compared to conventional lcd monitors. Other than that, it is nice to see true blacks and not shades of gray for a change.

Cons: Some ghosting due to the VA technology and the slower 8ms response time. Nowhere near and bad as an IPS monitor for ghosting however.

Pros: Excellent colour reproduction, lots of inputs and the LED and VA allow a low brightness that is still useable (which I found helped reduce eyestrain). Menu acceleration helps reduce ghosting.

Great monitor for the price, especially when on sale. Highly recommended for browsing, office work and light gaming.

Cons: -can be PITA to calibrate without hardware colorimeter-poor built-in presets and modes (over-saturates colours), except maybe "Normal" temperature colour mode.-HDMI cable not included-little bit of small backlight bleed on left edge

Pros: -Fantastic contrast ratio means deep blacks & whites-build/picture quality-no noticeable defects like dead / stuck pixels / infamous backlight ripple / fingers of death-semi glossy screen means best of both worlds for text clarity with hardly noticeable reflections-great low price for a VA-class monitor-shipping speed
Comment:
I received mine a 2 days ago after ordering it the day before! I don't know if that was due to my simultaneous VIP membership order, but with the free shipping was great. This is among the lowest price anyone can get for a VA (Vertical Alignment) monitor, which are known to be more expensive than the common TN monitors.I spent many hours to successfully calibrate the monitor with the help of my graphics card settings to pass most of the Lagom tests, but in the end I couldn't keep the deepest blacks & whites without sacrificing smooth gradients.I've never seen this many shades of colours, especially the greys :)

Cons: -Need some tweaking to get the colors right initially.-Audio speakers not that good-Doesn't come with an HDMI cable

Pros: -Cheap Price for an LED Monitor-Good viewing angle, nice picture quality just be sure to fine tune it yourself-Sleek design, comes with a built in cable management feature, USB ports and headphone jack
Comment:
I just received this monitor this afternoon which i ordered 2 days ago. The delivery was really fast considering it was a free one. Upon testing the monitor, I was relieved that it doesn't have any dead pixels on it. The display is pretty good and the only thing i could wish for is that they could have included an HDMI cable since most systems nowadays have that but overall, i could not ask for more!

Review Date: 01/21/11
Cons: - Early manufacture dates had quality control issues (ripple effect, bad backlight uniformity)- Factory presets are terrible, user adjustment is a must- Stand is a bit flimsy, no height adjustment and you can only tilt in one direction- Slight ghosting evident when bright objects move across dark backgrounds, even with AMA turned on- OSD controls are a bit awkward to use

Pros: - VA panel at a low price- LED lighting- Semi-gloss coating reduces reflections while still making colors even more vibrant- Good connectivity options and extras (VGA, DVI, HDMI, USB ports, headphone jack)
Comment:
Colors are very vivid and blacks are astounding thanks to the VA panel and LED backlighting. Units with a later manufacture date (after September 2010) should no longer have the "ripple", which then makes this monitor a great buy for the price.
