Fast cas 4 ram. Vista score went from 3.three to 5.3. None I upgraded my Presario V6120us from 1gb to 2gbs. Worth the tiny extra over the cas 5. Definatly advocate acquiring this for your laptop.

I don't want a swap file with 2GB of memory. None. Windows XP memory mamagement sucks! It uses the swap file even if there is lots of free physical memory, slowing down the computer. I disabled the swap file and the pc runs quicker now.

With a latency of four, these tiny suckers pumped some life back into my VAIO vgn-fe series laptop! Incredibly easy to set up just pop out your old ram, replace with these guys and they take care of the rest. No complaints here. Upgrade from 1 gig of value Chinese ram that Sony put in there.

Incredibly compatible with my Dell 2170 operating Vista Household Premium. The laptop likes the memory. None Prior to installing this new memory, the memory rating was 4.2. (The laptop came configured with 1 GB...2x512 MB chips.) Following the memory modify, memory rating is now 4.9. This could be due to raise in memory size but the fact nevertheless remains that the laptop likes the memory and things are excellent here in the homestead.

I purchased the memory to upgrade a 2006 Macbook to 2GB. Took only a couple of minutes to do the upgrade. A fantastic way to get higher overall performance with a five year old Macbook. Applications open substantially faster with this new memory. None I did this and added a larger capacity HD at the identical time, a nice way to do a comparatively low cost upgrade.

don't know, couldn't use it Would not POST in my Sony Vaio VGN-FE855E. Latency is prolly also low for it. G.Skill desires to fix the RAM configuration section of their website. When you choose "laptop" (or "desktop" for that matter) you get no selection for the second or third boxes. If you pick "motherboard" at least I can continue and choose the manufacturer and component # and then get a list of compatible sticks. G.Talent, Please fix this!!! G.Skill has worked for me with flying colors on several other makes use of in desktops. This ram is prolly wonderful but just as well low for my old lappy, I guess I'll get the larger latency version after I get completed with this RMA. Manufacturer Response:.Dear CustomerWe are sorry for the inconvenience. In regards to the RAM configurator, we are at present updating the database and it really should be active shortly. This revililized my wife's laptop. We had struggled with Vista getting so slow. Now it works flawlessly. If you have Vista, two gig is minimum. None, but not worth the final egg. RAM has such a wonderful performance hit. Ahead of you start off defragging and uninstalling and deleting, attempt upgrading your RAM. Manufacturer Response:Thank you for your optimistic feedback. Please feel absolutely free to make contact with us if you have any questions.Thank you.G.Skill Help

five minutes to set up a pair in an Acer AS5720 laptop. Recognized 2GB quickly on next boot. Appears substantially faster but that's most probably because Vista required the extra memory. No complaints right here! None. Newegg/UPS shipping and handling rocks! One particular day delivery even even though I paid for common (NJ->MA)

Hey all, I ordered this notebook memory from NE a couple of months ago. Cas four does make a difference. I didn't use any aftermarket apps to figure out the "speed" difference from Talent's Cas five memory in the exact same vein. I can inform by the "seat of the pants," it is substantially faster than G. Skill's Cas 5 iteration. Nevertheless, the Cas 4 memory was dollars nicely spent. I paid more than ๰ total for the memory and now NE is promoting it for ๕ bucks + shipping and tax. Snooze and you drop. Just recognize, DDR2 memory prices are in a freefall. Be it desktop DDR2 or notebooks. Hey, mem mfrs should have a thing up their sleeve. Don\'t forget speed expenses $$$, how quick do you want to go?

Plugged it in, and it worked. The laptop even effectively recognized it as four-four-4-12, and set timings accordingly. Nice to see at least 1 manufacturer who knows how to plan SPD chips. None so far. four-4-four-12 vs 5-5-five-15 on a 800FSB Core2Duo gave a 2-3% improvement in latency and throughput. The CL5 set like this a single was only a buck or two less, so for much less than a cup of coffee, I got a little additional speed. This was also an upgrade from 2x512MB, otherwise just going from CL5 to CL4 would not have been worthwhile.

Low latency apparently but there is no way of checking that on the bios of a pre-manufactured laptop like everex or dell. Saw no improvement what so ever right after upgrading from adata 533mhz. So if you personal 533 and want to upgrade you must opt for 800mhz if compatible "x2 amd and core-duos are compatible". I am running dual 100gb hdds on everex xt500t raid0 but these are 5400rpm so that is my true bottleneck, aside from Hitachi's lame write cache disabling challenge.

I just bought an HP dv2000 series laptop and knew that I had to increase the ram, result in Vista needs at least 2Gb RAM to run well. Place this G.Skill RAM in and it functions great. Boosted the Windows efficiency score from 4.five to five.four Memory Calculations Per Second. This is simply because of the Low Cas Latency! CL4 = good! none Didn't mind paying far more for the best RAM obtainable.

it's low cost and quick. 2GB really should be the minimum you run in any notebook, period. what cons? i like the "devour the souls of the old ram" comment...I assume i'll agree to that one particular. Yes, that's the only con. new egg = king

Properly, the speed differences in between CL specs usually are somewhat negligible but for handful of dollars far more may well as get the CL4 spec for the MacBook. I've purchased G.Skill ahead of for my desktop and its yet to go south and I've by no means received a poor DIMM. They appear to be pretty secure primarily based on feedback and individual practical experience, and a little much easier on the wallet than other performance None Ever notice absolutely everyone right here is afraid to check anything but "high"? I've performed surgery on iPods, Laptops and configged managed switches such but c'mon guys, high is reserved for the handful of.I rather like the engrish holographic boxes G.Skill comes in, "Great Ability in Memory" and "Where Speed Is!", every single of which sport images of Sinister hunting robots.

functions effectively, drop in replacement for dell stock ram CL5 virtually no improvement over stock dell ram in E1705. Vista lost .4 of the memory score. I was expecting much more from this ram, I'm certain it's not faulty. I believed CL4 would at least out carry out CL5 memory.
