Actual improvement in the functionality. Decrease in boot time was noticeable for me. Other then that wonderful ram for the cost. This RAM sticks getting CAS4 did not give me the sort of efficiency I was expecting but not really a con. I was just expecting additional... :) If you want great RAM then I would say this is it. This is my second time acquiring GSKILL solution and no complaints this time as well. :) Once more finest bang for the cost.

Fantastic value for what is becoming a de-facto memory requirement for modern operating systems. Would advocate for users who are seeking to extend the life of their notebooks and have access to a 64-bit OS. Had to RMA right after about a year and a half due to memory errors (but these things occur sometimes!). G.Ability's client service was really responsive and promptly processed my RMA. Manufacturer Response:.Dear ConsumerThank you for your G.Ability acquire and assessment. We are disappointed to hear that you received a negative stick, but glad that it was timely replaced. All of our memory packages are backed by a lifetime guarantee for these types of situations. If for what ever reason your memory is dead on arrival or becomes defective following a couple days, weeks, or years of use, we will exchange it with a new replacement devoid of question. If you have any additional questions or problems with your G.Skill memory package, please feel free of charge to contact us straight and we will be a lot more than glad to help you.Thank youGSKILL SupportGood quality and customer service are our top rated priorities.Tech Help E mail: ustech@gskillusa.comRMA Dept E-mail: rma@gskillusa.comG.Ability Forum: http://www.gskill.us/forum/

None Bought this ram ƔGB) 2x2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) to install into my Dell 6400 Laptop. Upon installing and rebooting the BIOS (A17 most recent) would not accept the memory and gave me an error. Even removed them and swapped slots and very same point happened. The other reviewer saying these worked in his Dell is sadly mistaken. Going to have to spend to have these shipped back and take a hit on the restocking charge too...incredibly unhappy with Neweggs compatibility rankings....said it would function but turned out it doesn't. Going to go Dell and order what they propose since I can't trust newegg to sell me the appropriate part. If the memory doesn't function suitable and you want to exchange for the appropriate memory, you shouldn't get hit with a restocking charge...tends to make me mad to have to invest ผ + return shipping to be their guinea pig for memory upgrades Manufacturer Response:.Dear ConsumerWe apologize for the inconvenience. According to our records, the Dell Inspiron 6400 demands DDR2-667 CL5. The memory package you bought is DDR2-667 CL4, so the reduced latency might lead to an challenge. Alternatively, the G.Ability F2-5300CL5D-4GBSA would be a much better fit. Installed and instantly ran at 4 - 4 - 4 - 12. Noticeable performance boost from 2 to 4 Gb. The box it comes in is very shiny and smooth. I discovered myself holding/looking at it for hours upon hours. First timer at upgrading my laptop.I upgraded my Toshiba Satellite A215_S6804 15.four-inchTook 4 extended days to get right here. QQ My fault for ordering on Friday and being aware of mail doesn't run on Sundays. On the other hand it arrived in fantastic shape and worked beautifully.Made everything run more quickly.

Runs cool. Definite upgrade from factory Samsung. More quickly than CAS 5 by a lot more than I expected but I was operating factory ram. None to speak of. I would pay to upgrade any factory ram module. Factory ram is barley the specs that it claims if it even hits the marks at all. Operating on Acer Aspire 6530-5753 Laptop

Quite tight timings that operate as they are supposed with out worrying about any bios changes. This replaced three gigs in my HP Pavillion dv6910us operating Windows 7 and I have to say I am quite impressed by the noticeable method response improvement. None seriously. I guess I could say that my not obtaining a "G.Ability" sticker like I have in the previous with my ram order is a con :) None, Truly appreciate these matching sticks!

Economical, fantastic get. Absolutely nothing I have an older HP DV8000t. The specs say max 2g ram. I known as HP and all they could say was that was what the specs say. I took a possibility with 4 gigs, but all four gigs are recognized.

I installed this memory in to my Dell Inspiron 1420. It was a snap to put in and booted up immediately. The memory was shipped to me quick (thanks New Egg) and runs as promised. It was also a wonderful price! Dell wanted a ridiculous amount for improved memory. For some explanation my window's vista recognizes 4gb but only utilizes 3.5gb. Not the memory's fault... although.

Low-cost, tight timings, fantastic upgrade more than 2gb I had in the laptop previously. G.Skill quality and lifetime warranty. Other than that.. it's memory and it works, not significantly else to say. wasn't totally free Scored a four.9 on the windows 7 performance rating in a Dell E1705. I performed this upgrade along with a difficult drive 񢾘rpm to 7200rpm) and Windows does really feel more rapidly.

This memory is fantastic, the price tag was low but the overall performance is remarkable. The timings created the deal even sweeter. At first I had a handful of troubles with freezing and sleep mode (yes I know I shouldn't use it) but I quickly realized it was Vista and was able to right the situation. Since the buy I have moved to Vista 64 to be able to use all 4 GB of memory. I am really happy with the overall performance improve, it is far beyond what I even expected from upgrading 2GB to 4GB

was more affordable then apple ddr2 my core2 duo 06 or 07 macbookpro 15" would not boot up or post with this inserted. tried switching no dice. might be the CL is too low for my model mac. RMA'd and ordering the CL5 version which is two or three$ cheaper for irony. crossing fingers** I do have some desktop G.ability 2gb sticks in with no difficulties previous yr and longer, so I nonetheless have faith in them, possibly the latency problem due to the fact its an older Fapbook, not the uni-body newer form. Manufacturer Response:.Dear BuyerWe are sorry to hear the memory module did not perform in your MacBook. It is surely doable that the latency is as well low and causing the incompatibility. Also, the memory you bought is not Apple precise. I would recommend the G.Ability FA-5300CL5D-4GBSQ as this is the Apple version of what you are hunting for.Thank youGSKILL SupportExcellent and client service are our leading priorities.Tech Help E mail: ustech@gskillusa.comRMA Dept Email: rma@gskillusa.comG.Ability Forum: http://www.gskill.us/forum/

Way thick. Every single layer for this bag has a foam layer sown in. I think my laptop could servive a drop to the ground in this bag. kind of modest. It is a laptop case in the shape of a backpack If you don't want a huge bulky bag just a nice padded backpack to take to lan parties this is the one.

Popped the RAM out of the box, plugged'em into my Dell Vostro 1710/XP, maxed out my machine's memory capacity in less than five minutes. Uncomplicated, straightforward, and hassle-free. Thanks, Newegg! None so far, despite the fact that I've only just upgraded the memory. I will edit this overview in the future really should an error present itself in the subsequent 6 months. I wanted to upgrade my RAM prior to a different price jump on DDR2 SO-DIMM (which the tech sector has decided is on its way out, therein depleting supplies), even though that considering may as well prove folly in the subsequent six months. I'll just have to wait and see.1 noteworthy point is that my machine only registers three. of the four. gb sticks. I was nicely conscious that that would come about ahead of my acquire so it didn't bother me, but everyone with a 32-bit OS must know that the machine can't register more than 3.5 gigs of memory at the most. In my case, I'm happy w/my purchase and predicament of becoming able to upgrade to 64-bit if needed, but I can comprehend a person getting a issue with not becoming able to pull the complete four gigs out of their hardware. In short: Purchaser Be Conscious.

I bought this RAM kit as an upgrade for my HP DV9074CL. Originally it had two 512MB sticks in it, and at 1GB felt a little sluggish at instances. Soon after doing some (inconclusive) study, I decided to take a (small) gamble on acquiring this upgrade, as opposed to just 2GB, and boy did it spend off!!I'm operating Windows 7 64-bit and the machine just flies. Boot instances have been drastically decreased and everything just feels genuinely snappy.I would propose this kit to any individual looking to upgrade, just make certain you do some investigation on your machine to confirm it can manage this substantially mem. Mine is now maxed out at 2GB/slot. None, so far. Not actually a con with the memory kit, but... I can't replace to dual-core Turion processor in my computer. It's the only point holding this four-year old machine back from getting a four.eight rating in the Windows Knowledge index. This RAM increased my memory status from a three.2 (second lowest behind the processor) to a four.eight!! Now if the processor would get additional than a two.7, I'd be stoked!!
