I bought these primarily based on the rave critiques. Could be fine with your motherboard so I didn't give a complete unfavorable 1-star. Only worked at rated DDR1100 鹦MHz) on my Gigabyte EP45-UD3P at CAS setting of 5-7-7-20 with 1.9-2.1V. Also worked CAS 4-4-four-12 up DDR850 鷩MHz). With rated CAS 5-five-5-15 I couldn't even get DDR1066 operating with any voltage from 1.9-2.1V. Yes, I updated to the newest BIOS ;)I will be RMA'ing this for one thing else. Seeking at the G.Ability forum it appears this board and other UD3 series boards are having stability concerns with this RAM and are working on firmware (BIOS) fixes to strengthen this. This is shocking give the good reviews each this motherboard and memory obtain. The UD3P has accomplished 600MHz+ FSB speeds with other memory. Not so with this memory regrettably. Manufacturer Response:.Dear BuyerWe are sorry to hear you are possessing an situation with your G.Skill memory package. Your certain motherboard and memory package must have absolutely no difficulties operating at the rated specifications. Please get in touch with our technical help division and they will be in a position to troubleshoot the problem. There is no compatibility issue, you simply want to configure the memory and CPU settings appropriately in BIOS. CPU overclock settings may well be essential since this is not a normal speed. This ram runs not just the rated 1100 at 1.84v, it also runs stable at 1165 with 1.84v. None These modules far exceed my expect5ations. I paired them with a Q9650 and a Rampage Formula to help higher FSB OCs. They helped me carry my Q9650 to 4.2GHz with a 5Ɋ ram divider. I dont know of yet another set of ram that presents this type of price tag/performance ratio.

-Quickly, major heat spreaders, runs at 1100mhz with an extremely low voltage relative to other ram of this speed. They seriously do run at 1100mhz on a mere 1.eight volts.I've been making use of these for about 6 - eight months in my method, they've been operating at 1200mhz for most of that time, steady as a rock, I've had no problems at all. Hah. Properly, when I purchased mine, they cost twice as significantly as they do now. Took a lot of playing to get them up to 1200mhz. My pair run fine at 1170mhz with two. volts, but to get em up to 1200 required two.2v and some timing modifications & other tweaks. My board is a (relatively old!) Asus P5k Deluxe - a newer board may well get them up to a tiny larger speeds. This ram is simply amazing, I'm contemplating getting another 4gb - not that I will need anyplace near 8gb of ram in my rig, but with how cheap it is now, why not?

Booted at ddr two 800mhz 1.8v with a setting of auto on a ma785gm-us2h gigabyte board, Phenom II X4 905e. The memory would not pass a windows memory diagnostic even on the first of two passes at 1.9v 1066mhz, however, it would post. finally passed at 2.0v at 1066mhz, above the companies spec and appropriate on the edge of the board spec so I was not tempted to go for 1100mhz and I required the timings not to exceed CL 5 on the initial stick. So... now I have a build out of spec. The Memory that I received did not meet the manufacturer spec as advertised. I purchased this memory due to the fact of the functionality spec of ddr two 1100 at 1.8v to 1.9v simply because of a thermal design and style consideration for low watt, low heat overall performance. I did handle to squeak by on the develop, nevertheless, if I was willing to accept ddr2 800 I would count on to pay the price tag for ddr2 800 at timings of five-5-5-15 or get timings of four-four-four-12. NewEgg was quickly as usual. NewEgg Rocks!! Manufacturer Response:.Dear ClientWe are sorry to hear that you are not impressed. Based on the motherboard, it may well not be supplying the complete voltage despite the fact that it is set to 1.90V. Verify actual memory voltage for correct benefits. Simply boost the memory speed to DDR2-1100 as it will have no difficulties with 2.0V and CL five timings. Worked out of the box. Runs steady at 1098 mhz @ five-5-5-15. Program won't post once the fsb goes above 1100 with fixed five-five-5-15 timings. I'm pondering with larger timings I could raise the fsb a lot more, but so far I see no need to have to try. intel e8500 + gigabyte ep45-ud3r.

Superb Ram. Runs as advertized. I loaded up with eight Gig and it came up at speed on my EVGA 780 motherboard. Opens up almost everything beneath Vista x64. Lots of headroom to have far more apps open than most can use at one time. Under no circumstances have an app crash for lack of memory once more.Greatest use for programs like Photoshop, which can use all the memory you can throw at it. Drastically speeds up operations and massive file handling.Do tyourself a favor. Max your RAM out. It will let your technique reside longer, operate more effectively and do far more. None. Regrettably not as valuable for Win XP 32 bit systems. They only see 2.75 Gig at finest. Exceptional latency for the speed, tho I run mine at five-5-5-15 at rated speed. I don't OC the RAM. No need to have to, its rapid enough. Could run it quicker. I played around with it a bit just to see. Left mine at 1.9v. Keeps the RAM cool. The heatsinks are slightly warm to thwe touch, so my technique's airflow keeps the Ram cool. They are nice searching in the program make, and match most any color scheme you may well have.

This is some fantastic RAM for the worth. Stays good and cool in the case with a wonderful heat sink. RAM overclocks nice and offers Excellent stability at greater clock speeds. Heat sinks are a bit higher, produced it hard to set up with artic cooling freezer 7 and some energy chords going to disk drives in antec 300 circumstances. Would advocate this RAM to anybody building a performance method.

Worked properly on my GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H. Both sticks timed appropriately on auto, and passed a round of mem test with out concern. Due to my FSB, my RAM is slightly below-clocked at 1080 Mhz. Even so I loose stability in prolonged blended P95 testing if I drop the voltage beneath two.0v. (Mobo essentially shows it receiving 2.03v). G. Ability Cust service states this slight over voltage is ok, and the RAM ought to be safe up to two.1V. So it really is not a massive deal unless you were going to over clock the ram, then you wouldn't have significantly additional voltage to perform with. G.Talent Cust service responds really promptly to e mail to answer your inquiries. Also, I am by no means a personal computer specialist, and can not fully say that the voltage challenge may be anything else I am carrying out wrong in my bios. Manufacturer Response:.Dear BuyerThank you for your G.Skill purchase and evaluation. Glad to hear the memory is functioning appropriately in your program. It is odd that your motherboard is requiring additional voltage to be stable, but it ought to not be a problem. All G.Talent memory modules are made for overclocking, so they will be in a position to handle the added voltage. Purchased a second pair of these, to upgrade from 4GB to 8GB. No challenges, my Computer took off operating with the same mild FSB overclock settings (to get the 1100 MHz vs. the regular 1066 MHz with the exact same FSB multiplier) and voltages as prior to. I didn't have to adjust a factor, plug 'n play. . Functions flawless. None, unless you want to count that DDR2 is becoming phased out in favor of DDR3 today. Wish the price tag had come down on DDR2 by now, but definitely wanted to get the precise identical matched RAM once more. G. Talent memory has been truly great for me.

Quickly RAM, cool searching heat spreader/heat sink. The timing has to be manually set in the BIOS, and make certain you're operating the right voltage as well. My RAM seemed to be happiest with 1.9 volts. Haven't pushed it beyond 1066mhz. I'd picture that it would be fine, but I haven't tested it yet. Manufacturer Response:.Dear ClientThank you for your G.Ability obtain and critique. The memory package you purchased is above the maximum default standard, so manual settings should be utilised, or the EPP/XMP Profile have to be enabled for the motherboard to automatically make these changes for you. Glad to hear anything is operating smoothly. The memory package will have no difficulties operating DDR2-1066+ particularly if you are only working with 1.90V at the moment. There is significantly room for overclocking. I bought two kits of these and they run amazing. Each had been immediately recognized by my board(gigabyte ep45-ud3p, F8 BIOS at time of set up) and are at present operating at five-five-5-15-52-2t latencies at 1125mhz 1.96v, quite dang good for a ddr2 kit in this value variety. Kits were also packaged decently, have an excellent hunting heatspreader, and run at low temps. Bland packaging, couldn't get to run at 1200mhz at 1.9v like other reviewers but I'm nevertheless convinced it can be completed.

My somewhat iffy 780i board has been extremely steady due to the fact I installed this RAM - proper out of the box, no tweaks to settings at all. Can't tell you a factor about overclocking, even though - I run mine bone stock for longevity. None I know XP will only recognize 4 GB, and I have 1.five tied up in the video cards, so I seriously only gained .5 gigs on my upgrade from a 2x1 setup - but the stability over the 'buccaneer brand' I was employing just before was nicely worth it.

As of now, none, while the very same style that I praised in the Pros could also lead to elevated heat due to the proximity of the fins to every single other. time will tell. I would have loved to have a additional thorough evaluation of this solution, but alas, I am lazy.
