Works. No challenges, hiccups, or problems of any type. And I tend to run my systems relatively hard. Quick, higher WEI rating. None so far. This is my second G.Ability RAM buy (the other was DDR2-800 from NewEgg). The 1st set was bad, but G.Skill's RMA procedure was dead straightforward and quite efficient. Fantastic RAM, permitted me an nearly 1 ghz overclock on my core i7 860, from 2.8 to three.six. Windows 7 64 bit says only three.99 gigs of ram of 8 gigs is usuable. Not sure if this is a difficulty with my motherboard (MSI P55-GD55) or the RAM. I don't consider its the fault of the ram though, it's most likely a motherboard problem. Appears nice with the red. The memory I got was undesirable. I got Windows installed, but it was experiencing main stability troubles. It would also not boot some occasions. The bios would commence up, but when the loading animation for Windows kicked in it would just die and restart. The challenge was impossible to reproduce reliably. Memtest86 would fail about 50% of the time, but 50% it would run fine, and the boot fine. It seemed to manifist the difficulty following the method was off for a when. Incredibly frustrating troublshooting the difficulty.I attempted different G.Ability memory (the DDR3 1600) and the program was stable. So I returned this stuff to Newegg and bought some more of that. All round I am sure G.Ability is fine. I commonly use a diverse brand. So in my subsequent program make I will probablay use one thing else. In the past few years I have constructed about 5 diverse systems, and this is the 1st time I have had terrible memory from the start. Memory worked good with my intel i7 setup. Right after about ten months of use, 1 of the sticks just stopped working. It's G.Ability. Good searching heatsinks. Changed timing from 9-9-9-24 to eight-eight-eight-22 with no issues. I'm positive it would go 7-7-7-21. Can't beat the price tag, can't beat the warranty.
