I got this Quad Channel set so that I could max out my Crossfire Extreme board with 16GB of memory. It has by no means gotten hot and I even OC'd it when and no problems. They function good but the fins stick up a lot more than I thought. I had to slice a 3mm corner off my Zalman processor heatsink to get it to fit correct with the fins. That was no big prob though. You don't want to attempt to get two sets of dual channel if maxing the memory on a new board. If you get a Quad channel set you know it will perform no difficulties.

No errors, freezes, crashes, and so on. Ran memtest for a day with no difficulties. This is my first G.Skill memory purchase and so far, I'm quite pleased with it. none. Memory has a low profile and doesn't interfere with my oversized cpu cooler. Didn't lead to any temp enhance in my case.

Bought a set in October. Works at 1066 with normal configuration on an X58 chipset (a Shuttle XPC). 1333 not working for all 4 sticks: only one stick. Growing voltage to 1.55 provides two working sticks. Too cautious to keep escalating RAM voltage on an pricey create. Maybe I got a bad sample. All matched set with the same timing, performs flawlessly. The built in heat spreaders assist to control heat even in my tight case. I water cool, so there is much less airflow in the case than air cooled instances. I was concerned that this would trigger troubles with the ram as I'd experienced with my old setup. So far, it's excellent! Not overclocked but, I'm happy with the speeds and temps I've gotten so far. None so far. I did have a time when I thought I'd lost a couple of sticks or thought my MB was bad, but it turned out that I'd slightly unseated my CPU by removing my water block. As soon as I reseated the CPU, all was very good. I purchased this pack of ram to go with a new AMD construct. I wanted to get a matched set to max out my ram at 1 time and not have wasted sticks lying about soon after years of upgrades. I could have purchased single sticks and populated that way, but I wanted to get a matched set at the start.
