Rapidly and strong after I got it functioning. Essential customized BIOS settings that took me 2 weeks to figure out; guidelines for what functions is restricted to tech support forums. It took me about two weeks to get this RAM functioning suitable. But I feel it is not the RAM's fault, I think it is an situation with X58 motherboards and triple channel RAM.SETTINGS THAT WORKED FOR MEɍ-9-9-24 timingcommand rate of 21.six Vlaptop setup:i7 930, Gigabyte GA-X58-UD3R motherboard, Windows 7the default settings had been eight-eight-8-20, 1 CR, and 1.5V. Just before I got it to work on these settings, it was a crapshoot as to whether the BIOS would recognize all 6GB. It would flux among 4 and six. Windows 7 would recognize six each and every time, but often it would study 6GB but 4GB usable. If you put this RAM in an X58 mobo and it doesn't consistently study all 6 GB, I recommend altering your BIOS settings about until you discover anything that functions. I located a thread on GSkill's web website exactly where a guy RMA'd his RAM twice because he couldn't figure it out.

Low cost.(Wish I had bought my 1st set at this price tag!)Great stability. Can be overclocked.Lifetime warranty. None so far. This set of RAM works great with my ASRock X58 Intense motherboard. Haven't had 1 single memory concern in the year I've had it installed. Even ordered a second pair due to the current super low price drop. Can't wait to have 12GB of RAM total :D. I have overclocked it to the subsequent step up, without much hassle, but that slight speed raise on RAM will barely be noticeable. At stock settings, it does its job wonderfully.

Operates fantastic in Windows XP 64-bit Pro and also Windows 7 64-bit Pro. 7.four WEI Score in Windows 7 64-bit Pro. All 6GB Ɠx2GB) are really steady in Windows XP 64-bit Pro even when using 512MB with the 980a chipset on my mobo for PhysX.My Asus M4N98TD EVO's BIOS auto-configured all 3 sticks properly to the default 9-9-9-24 timing and 1333Mhz speed. Just a heads up if you are going to use an AMD CPU and run Windows 7 64-bit. Had everyday BSODs and/or Windows application errors following logging into Windows 7 64-bit pro whilst attempting to run two sticks in dual-channel and 1 stick in single-channel. Immediately after a reboot though, Windows would run fine. Ultimately got tired of the OS stability difficulties and removed the stick in single-channel. No far more BSODs or Windows application errors. If you plan on employing Windows 7 64-bit and an AMD CPU then either get a 4GB dual-channel kit ƒx2GB) or 8GB dual-channel kit (either 2x4GB or 4x2GB) for maximum stability considering that AMD CPUs only help dual-channel configurations. This was something I forgot about when I ordered this but it goes to show that Windows XP is still the finest Windows operating system out there. It's a bit funny that Windows 7 only had concerns when booting up immediately after getting shutdown for 8-12 hours. It would reboot and would boot fine following the day-to-day BSOD or application errors on the initial boot of the day for me.Hopefully this overview will help some of you out and stop some Windows 7 headaches...I just wish I hadn't discovered this the challenging way.

Great excellent hardware for incredibly very good price tag. no at the time When I purchased these the cost was beneath average compared to the Kingston and OCZ memory, not certain what the cost comparison is now but I'm glad I got these.

I installed the RAM, installation as commonly was straightforward with no Beeps. Heatsink is great seeking and works truly effectively. None. It didnt clock up to 1333 on it's own. I had to go into the BIOS and specify DDR3 1333. I'm fairly certain that is the motherboard though. Awesome RAM.

Only paid a hundy and a twizzle. Operates great on a core i7 920 with an asrock x58 supercomputer and Win 7 x64. Only about 1.five GB gets utilized.Red heatsink looks good. any far more than three gb of ram isn't genuinely neccessary. got ddr3 1333 mainly because if i applied ddr3 2000 i would only be capable to populate 1 channel on mobo.

will hopefully be fine when I get a replacement? Same as a lot of other critiques, at times it would recognize all 3, occasionally only two. I switched the dimms around to make sure it wasn't the MB, and the flakiness followed the dimm and not the slot, so RMA time. The other two dimms look to be fine. The RAM operates. Passed memtest86+. Operating 12GB on a GA-EX58-Extreme. I had to re-seat the RAM once due to the fact the match among a RAM stick and a particular slot wasn't rather right. Soon after rotating the RAM in between the slots the problem was resolved.

I have nothing at all but excellent items to say about this RAM!Paired with an ASUS Rampage II Gene it OC's stable at stock 9-9-9-24 settings all the way to 1800mhz! Even at 1600Mhz at stock timings it gets a 7.9 in Windows 7 x64 ultimate.6GB is great, even though considering that I do a lot of operate recording music, I may get a second set someday . Price dropped to 64$ from 80$ soon after I purchased it D-: Not actually a RAM issue, a lot more a mobo, but some of the stock settings aren't obtainable in my BIOS to set manually, so I have to set a value of 72 rather 74 for example. Not a massive issue since it makes almost difference!

I wrote the critique on 6ቧቦ saying it took tweaks to get it operating. That ended up being not true. It worked for about 6 hours then went back to its unpredictable strategies. I ended up RMA'ing it and was capable to get the 15% restocking fee waived since this RAM is chronically undesirable and I wanted a diverse brand.Pros: overclocking didn't affect stability at all. BIOS randomly detected 4GB when I had 6GB installed (Windows would read ŚGB, 4GB usable). No rhyme or explanation to it. Cold boot, comp warmed up, overclocked, stock clock settings, any and all RAM timings, nothing mattered. The only way I could get it to recognize 6GB would be to boot recognizing 4GB, then restart into the BIOS and arbitrarily modify some voltage or clock settings, then 6GB would recognize. I now have the Corsair 1600mhz 6GB kit and it promptly worked like a dream and is running stably and has recognized 6GB every single time. Been utilizing it for 3 days. 6 GB and was at the time not pricey, but I notice that has changed... Can't get the stupid RAM to work at a lot more than 1066, despite the fact that it is 1333 RAM... I've even tried to OC in the BIOS, and nevertheless nothing at all... It's either my "cheap" x58 motherboard, or there's anything strangely wrong with this RAM... I did not have any luck with this solution. two of 3 DIMM's did not function. I have an i7 Intense in a Asrock x58 motherboard. I named Gskill Technical Support and they mentioned that in all probability Newegg dropped the package or it was not adequately packaged. I stated that the package looked OK to me, no signs of missused. Overall, Gskill pointing fingers to Newegg is just: negative consumer service. Also, when I referred to as Gskill, I did not obtain hints in how to configure the BIOS, so I decided to return it and appear for one more brand. On the other hand, Newegg was great with the RMA procedure. I run 12GB of this RAM due to the truth the ta I run multiple virtual machines. This is extremely stable memory and has given me zero problems in the last year+ of usage in my computer system. Doesn't seem to want to overclock at 1333Mhz with stability. I can run it at 1066Mhz with an increased CPU overclock. A great choice if you're hunting for steady RAM and nothing at all much more.
