Rapid RAM, operates great! An great upgrade from my old DDR2 800 RAM Regrettably with my AMD chipset I am not capable to the timings that this RAM is rated for.On the other hand I locate that just a minute drawback due to the fact without having the aid of benchmarking software you will in no way inform the distinction in performance. RAM runs on the hot side, I would advocate hunting into additional cooling for them. Manufacturer Response:.Dear ClientWe are sorry to hear you were unable to get this kit operating to specification. However not all AMD CPUs are capable of this memory, which is why it is stated for Intel. Only AMD hex core CPUs may be capable of this spec. Even with higher timings, this memory really should nonetheless execute incredibly effectively. It is our prime DDR3-1600 kit.As far as cooling, the heatspreaders will do the job. But a memory fan is not pricey, so it would be an economical, efficient addition to maintain memory cooler than normal. Appears wonderful, built wonderful, Lifetime Warranty. No problems with initial set up, every little thing functions fine on default motherboard settings. Could not reset RAM timings to Manufactured specs. I did however buy two sets for a total of 8 GB's, so possibly that's my dilemma. If so, that nevertheless disappoints me. The finest I could get was 9-9-9-24-2N with a DDR3-1333 setting. It also could be user error, but I have overclocked other memory on other boards devoid of problem, and all I was trying for on this setup was the manufactured specs. Operating x38 board, max 1333. Could not run at spec'd profile. Set at 1333, 7-7-7-21. Extremely marginal improvement more than 1066 mhz 77721 RAM initially installed.Even so, my CPU overclock became significantly easier. Was in a position to take an E8400 to 3.8, with minimal v boost, compared to a stretch at 3.6 just before. In addition, I get zero failures when severly stressing the box, using PassMark Burn-in and Overall performance. Apples to apples, marginal improvement. But thinking about the more CPU gains and increased stability, these sticks have been worth the 90. Only 1 profile. Heatsinks appear decent but are relatively worthless due to the fact heat is not truly an challenge for RAM @ 1.65v. Would obtain once more. Manufacturer Response:.Dear ClientThank you for your G.Ability acquire and assessment. With an X38 motherboard, and/or LGA 775 CPU, overclocking of the CPU FSB is expected to operate DDR3-1600 memory. Memory can only operate as quickly as the CPU FSB, so the CPU Host Frequency must be 400 񢃀MHz) to operate this memory. Once that is carried out, you need to have no difficulty operating to specifications. Relating to the XMP profile, only one profile is required, and that is what the memory is rated for. The motherboard can automatically detect common settings for reduce frequencies. The heatspreaders are not required, but if you overclock, they are not worthless at all.If you would like further help, please really feel totally free to make contact with us directly. Looks awesome, good brand, excellent value for the timings I can't get it to hit the timings it is supposed to. G.ability stated its because my MSI 890FXA-GD70 can't deal with the timings at 1600. I'm going to take their word for it simply because I don't want to be without having a personal computer for a couple of weeks. It can do 7-eight-7-24-2T at 1640 at least. It can do 1333 @ 6-8-6-24-2T. Even pushed the voltage a bit additional to 1.65v, but it won't do 6-8-6-24 at 1600. Upped NB voltages as well. Overall a fantastic DDR3 Card and runs fine, with a good heat sink. For AMD builds you can't get the specified timings, but it already specifies it for P55 Motherboard chipsets. You can get 7-eight-7-24 timing operating at 1600Mhz. Some other AMD construct stated they got the specified timing and got it a timings a small tighter, but I don't know.

Functions for Intel, but clearly excellent for AMD systems due to the fact the Phenom II x6 Thubans are highly sensitive to latency/timings (moreso then RAM clock frequency). Bought two of these Ƙ GB total) for a new 1055T construct. OC from two.8 GHz to 4.two GHz no problem with this RAM delivering you tons of overclocking area and stability. A truly good product with adequate speed and far more importantly: timings. This is -the- RAM for AMD till the new FLARE memory is obtainable/affordable. Heatsinks are massive. The base of the RAM to the top of the heatsink is very easily the height of a credit card. Recommend you check space/clearance. G.Ability delivers good worth and efficiency with all their RAM. Wish they'd create DDR3 with CAS of 5 or 6 at 2000.

Right after searching for the fastest DDR3 ram in terms of MHz speed and tightest timings I narrowed it down to this ram. There is other ram at higher MHz speed but the timings are not as tight. Works as expected with my ASUS P7P55D-E Pro motherboard along with an i5-760. Tends to make my gaming rig nearly fly (darn tough drive). Changing the ram profile to xmp in the bios automatically set the advertised timings / voltage for me. Please note that G. Skill's web page shows the supported / tested motherboards for this ram. Mine was 1 of them, so I wasn't execting much tweaking to start with.Overall, I highly advocate G. Skill ram. This is my 5th set of G. Skill ram that I've bought. I've built five rigs and I've utilised nothing but G. Skill ram in all of them. Thus far, this is the fastest ram however from G. Skill that I've used. I have no cons, some would dislike the tall heatsinks on this ram but I favor them. If you're not searching for the fastest DDR3 ram / tightest timings and are seeking for a superior deal I'd suggest this set of ram:F3-12800CL9D-4GBRLEmployed it for a family members rig and they're a lot rapidly as well.

Scored a 7.6 in Windows 7 Index, possibly not the greatest benchmark plan but w/e. Was able to get 6-8-6-24 @ 1600Mhz. I was also able to get it to 1800Mhz @ 8-8-8-24 and stable with a lil up in voltage but I stuck with the tighter timings. Very first time with DDR3 and G.Skill has never ever failed me. Extremely pleased. Following some reviews on other sticks it's a lil restricted for overclocking capabilities, not a con actually, it's still some B.A. RAM. Value/Performance it's a fantastic deal not to mention the tight timings. I'm gonna obtain one more 4Gb when the money comes.
