Runs - from time to time - (but this is on now defective for SAT asus p8p67 pro board. Nice 1333 cas 9 memory. At this setting and 1.six v it did fine with memtest, but POST nonetheless iffy. Won't run stable at alleged 1600 cas 7 (though its cas 7Ǟǝ I do know). Runs at 1.65 v but nonetheless the broad won't POST half the time and resets at 1333 cas 9. If I wanted 1333 memory I'd have saved ุ plus. I have had excellent luck with GSkill items in the past. This 1 is not on Asus QVC list but several GSkills are. (No 2x 4GB 8GB sets at all at 1600 - a speed that is not overclocked). It may well be premature to claim this is P67 compatible - bit this may be a board specific challenge. (The board, as we know, will have to be RMA'd). I do feel a bit ripped off - would have bought GSkill 1333 sticks if I knew to save the $. Manufacturer Response:.Dear BuyerWe are sorry to hear you are possessing a issue. Please make positive you have the most current BIOS. The benefits are obvious. In my case, it's 16GB of memory--if you get two of these kits, anyway--that can run at 1600 with 7-eight-7-24-2T ʁ.6v. What much more really wants to be said? It's quickly memory and all of the headaches connected with operating 16GB and attempting to overclock are a factor of the past for me now. They function good in a 16GB configuration, albeit with a little bit of operate (see below). So far? Properly, 1.6v is a tiny bit higher for voltage these days, but I'm certain G.ability has their motives for designing these modules to run at that voltage.I suppose you could try to undervolt? This is where things get tricky. If you're operating a P67 chipset like I am, and you have a newer bios that implements bios recovery from an overclock failure, then you need to have to do 2 issues following you install these memory modules and the machine posts initially--prior to you do any overclockingɅ. Set up the most up-to-date BIOS firmware.2. Start off your machine again to make positive it posts.three. Shutdown your pc and unplug it.four. Clear the CMOS.5. You're done.I had these modules installed for the past week and it wasn't until I followed the tips of a preceding reviewer (who said to clear the CMOS) that I got these to run stable--or even post--at the rated speed. Now, I'm afforded the luxury of bringing voltages down to reasonable levels. I was @ four.6ghz wǗ.36v and now I'm down to 1.32v. I'm gonna go reduce. Just keep whittling away.Final word: If you have a motherboard with bios recovery, make positive that you absolutely shut down your personal computer to assure your posts are one hundred% stable.

I'm not an overclocker and so I like to purchase memory that is quickly by itself, so I chose this a single, even possessing just a few reviews here in newegg about it. I wanted 1833 but given that newegg didn't have the "blue" GSkill for this speed, I ended up acquiring this one, that is 1600 (I wanted BLUE!!! :-)).Well, memory arrived, BIOS recognized it as 1333, CAS 9, booted with no challenge. I then just modified manually the frequency to 1600 and timings to the advertised 7-eight-7-24. Didn't touch any other setting, leaving them all default.Booted once more fine, no problem so far. Windows Encounter Index hit 7.9! What else do I want? So, so far, I have no complaints, only praises. Hopefully, it will last years.I plan on adding 8GB (or 16 GB, if existent) far more in the future. They are two beautiful sticks! Could have been two millimeters much less tall. If I use slots Ŗ", AND a second fan in my CPU heatsink, I have problems. Memory will touch the heatsink fan. Fortunately, my heatsink is such an overkill for the CPU that I only need one fan (but I would have liked greater if I could use the fan on the side of the heatsink that I can't). Rapidly, fantastic timings, made for Sandy Bridge. None. I had compatibility issues with the 1st set of ram I purchased for my Asus P8P67 Deluxe. The program wouldn't boot at producers RAM settings and would need to have a challenging reboot soon after initial startup to get the board to POST. I purchased this RAM, cleared the CMOS (I nonetheless had the exact same difficulties till I did this) and now my system operates perfectly.

runs at 1333 cas 9 So with newest bios, many tries runs at 133 cas 9. Won't POST additional than when at 1600 and 1.6v even with cas 9.GSkill tells me its a negative mobo (well, it's a P67) and to RMA to Egg. This would cost me about as a lot as the distinction to the Venegence 1333 memory I ought to have bought for ุ less. Thanks. I purchased and liked GSkill products. I had hoped for some assist - but as I am past Newegg RMA dates, this is an odd program. I had hoped for greater. Manufacturer Response:.Dear ConsumerWe are sorry to hear you are having such a dilemma. With the most current BIOS, enable XMP and test one module at a time in slot A1. First, sleek look, heatsinks matched my case color scheme nicely. As far as efficiency, I have these overclocked to 1866 cas8 with small boost in voltage, with no troubles so far. Installed on a p8p67 evo motherboard in my new sandy bridge create. Also, noticeably much more comfort room in my system with 8gig over 4gig. None so far, probable heatsink problem with larger coolers, however these appear to be comparatively low profile compared to other items with comparable specs.

Quite rapidly ram. Purchased two packs for a total of 16 GB. Cheaper than bying the 4 pack with the fan. No heat concerns for Antec Nine Hundred Two case which has wonderful circulation and cooling on its own. This is also compatiable with the ND-D14 CPU Cooler and fits perfectly without touching the memory. You most likely only have to have the fan if you program to OC it. Note that some motherboards will require you to either manually set the memory settings or load the built in settings. My Gigabyte mb was able to detect the builtin memory settings.
