This USB adapter is good for those who are looking for a network adapter that is extremely cheap without much reliability issues. The installation is fairly straightforward. It doesn't pick up as many signals compared to other adapters but it's good enough to pick up a signal in a large 3 story house. I would not recommend this adapter for heavy network usage or online gaming. Online games seem to have higher ping with this adapter. However, this doesn't seem to be an issue when the router is close to the USB adapter. Another negative is that this adapter occassionally has troubles connecting to a network automatically when the computer is restarted or awakens from sleep. A good spare wireless adapter when it is on sale. If your using it to download alot of stuff it does get warm and you may have to unplug it and plug it back in. This doesn't happen often but it may on occassion. |

had an easy install using supplied software from website on xp-pro 32b.has decent connectivity and speed for a wireless G device.included documentation indicated a usb cable is also included, but it was missing from the factory sealed box, but not an issue.the product info did not say it would work with tivo, but it was on sale and i thought i'd give it a try. it does not work on tivo series2 single tuners. again, no product documentation suggested it would work with a tivo device, it was my own experiment. |

Over five hours of tech support was required to install this product, all because of NEEDLESS software design.(Useless ad-ons). Their support techs tried passig the blame, instead of being helpful. An overall bad experience. The performance is not what I expected. I will not buy another Belkin product. |

Not sure if I am the only one having this issue, but I have been dealing with Belkin support on and off for over a month and finally gave up. The adapter will only work in the original port I installed it on. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, etc. Nothing worked. Be aware that this may happen and make sure you install it on the port that you always want to use. |

i owned a usb adapter(ds/psp wifi max) based on the belkin/atheros chipset it barely worked in xp as an access point in vista the soft ap application didnt work so it could only work as a client adapter. but hopefully connectify(in windows 7) will fix that |

The 802.11g Broadcom chip in my HP laptop died, so I really needed to get back online. The Belkin USB Network adapter arrived yesterday. In less than 15 minutes, I was up and running better than ever. This is better than the original built in wireless adapter. The unit has been reliable with no drop outs. I can upload and download large CAD files without error. This is a great device. I recommend it highly. |

Bought this on Surprise Special for $10. One of those "I don't have a use for it, but for $10, it's good to have sitting around just in case" kinda purchases. Well, this past weekend, I had the opportunity to use it because I was working on a machine upstairs, away from my LAN. Took this out of the box, plugged it in, and it installed itself. I was online in no time. Got an excellent signal on the main floor of my house, while my D-Link N-router is in the basement. All around, I would describe this as a worthy adapter that works as USB G-adapters ought to. If it ever goes on sale again for $10, grab one for those "just in case" situations - it's worth it. At full price, however, well - I wouldn't buy it for $45, let's put it that way. |

I have one of these installed on a computer that my employer installed at my house. It works great. I needed a new one for my personal pc so I choose the Belkin. Easy to install and get operating. MY pc sits under my desk with the back to a wall and I still get a very good to excellent reading. I have another personal pc at home and will buy another Belkin when needed. I would recommend this to everyone. |

Cons: It did cut my download and upload speeds in half and does take a CD to install, so losing the CD would be bad.
Pros: Easy to setup, internet still works fast, hasn't lost the connection, quick to find the network and connect. Comment:
I had bought this when it was on sale for 20$, and unless it were to go on sale for that again, I'd suggest finding another depending on your needs.If you just need a reasonable network adapter, to browse the web, this will work fine. But if you plan on Gaming, getting a faster one would be advisable (though I've yet to try, so I can't comment). |
I don't recommend this product. Its a very poor driver support.Its got connection issues. Seems to struggle with XP & vista. I replaced this unit with a different product. Other product work awsome.
