I ordered this after seeing people were getting versions other than version 1. I received mine to find out it was version 1. All of my machines are running 64bit Windows 7. Would be nice if NCIX posted which versions they stocked or were shipping for this sale. I checked Belkin's website and was unable to find any drivers for windows 7 64 bit for this version. |

Got this on sale for $17. Packaging was a bit old and dated. No mention of Windows 7 on the Driver CD or the package. Ignored the CD and went to Belkin site to download the latest driver. Make sure to download the correct version - associated with the hardware. There are around 6 diferent drivers - one for each of the hardware version.Installation of the driver was a breeze and connectivity was not an issue as the system has clear line of sight to my AP. Did not test further. |

Pros: - Nice small and compact USB drive- Faster speeds. I had been using a Dell Inspiron Laptop (4 years), getting frustrating speeds at times. I always thought it was the router or the internet itself. But after using this, my speeds doubled- Easy to install Comment:
Tried it for one day. Youtube loads faster. My latency for gaming is lower, with noticeably less lag spikes. Overall, very good product, especially since I got it on sale ($15). |

Hard to find the right version of software for Win 7 64

This is a good buy for the sale price of $17. Hard to locate the correct driver version, you have to look for the version on the unit first (you need a magnifying glass) and then you have to google the most up to date software for the FSd8053 n adapter. My was version 3. If you use windows to automatically download the software, it locks up if you try to install it. When I finally got it to work, it conneced at 135 mbps. |

After picking this up for a great price, the only glitch was having to download the right drivers from Belkin to work in W7x64. For anyone going through this process you need to get the version number for the unit off a sticker on the back. The d/l speed was just about the same as my wired connection, though I was very close to the router. |

I am running D link wireless g network. Keep dropping signal with D link PCI card. Tried this adapter and am getting good to very good signal strength without any dropout 25 feet and across two walls. Getting 48-54 Mbps. Got it for $10.00 on sale. Excellent value.Only negative I can see is that it is not dual band and would not benefit from future upgrade to dual band router in the future. Utility that came with adapter useless, had to set up manually using windows. |

Definitly difficult to install for beginners who wish to "plug and play (pray)" on Windows 7 64-bit. Keep in mind the Wireless-N for this adapter is still IEEE 802.11n draft 2.0.

Bought it when it was on sale for $9.99; absolutely not worth $54.99. I tried installing it on a Windows 7 64-bit but neither the software that came with the adapter help nor does the Belkin Canada site. Visit Belkin's Australia site to get the most up-to-date driver for this adapter. It should be a piece of cake for experienced computer user, but hell for beginners and average users. |

This thing worked great.....once driver issues were straightened out. I am running Windows 7 64 bit and the drivers on the disc are not really compatible. Windows kept telling me that the drivers did not install correctly. I went to Belkin's website and installed the correct drivers and everything was perfect from there. It is fast and as usual they got it to me quickly. Don't ever pay for anything other than standard shipping. |

This is my second adapter but first Belkin I have purchased. Make sure you download the latest software from the Belkin site. Their site has a great walk through on making sure you get the correct software for you adapter. By downloading the newest driver software I solved a frequent need to reset the adapter for no apparent reason. |
Wow, an 802.11N adapter for only $18 on sale! What a deal!I tested this with a netbook that has trouble receiving wireless on the build in adapter, and this unit works much better. I haven't tested the speed of the 802.11N, but it does definitely support the newer standard.If you leave it sticking out of the side of a netbook, it can be a bit fiddly and prone to bending and losing its USB connection, but the included stand can rectify that. The stand *is* cheap, however, and if you push too hard, it'll fall apart, but that's a pretty minor complaint.For the price, you can't really go wrong with this unit if you need a handy USB WiFi adapter.
