Cons: Could be smaller. Not a lot inside for the size of the case.

Pros: Easy setup, plug it in and go. Quick and easy firmware update. Works very well with Apple wireless devices.
Comment:
Great router for the price point. Works flawlessly with Apple Wireless products equipped with the Airport Extreme adapters, gaming systems, and Windows OS. Easy to setup and update.

Cons: Seems to have issues with some iPod touches

Pros: Lots of features, attractive, Wireless N, decent price, 1GB Ethernet
Comment:
This seems to have all the major router features you'd want, Wireless N, 1GB Ethernet. Even a neat feature in firmware that will turn off the wireless antenna late at night to conserve power. It's been working fine at my apartment so far, with the exception one of our iPod touches needs to be rebooted to connect the the WPA PSK network as the password doesn't seem to take after the iPod has been in sleep mode. Wierd.

The signal quality will often drop below 5 bars even with my laptop sitting next to the router. I have an Intel 1000 BGN adapter on my laptop and I'm using draft-N. This router is not worth the price paid.

If you plan to you use this as a wireless router make sure you have it where you have easy access to it because it needs restarted about 1 per week. When it's up it works well and has decent features.

I've had this wireless router for five months now. The router is not configured in the way that ninety percent of the people that buy this product will use it. Once I had it set up correctly, it ran perfect and has ever since. The range is amazing, best I've ever seen.

Cons: slow NAS with password issuescannot force external drive spin down

Pros: Gigabit, Wireless N, good range, NAS NTFS support, price
Comment:
Was looking for a router to better connect my network.Had 10/100 with Wireless G. Looking to connect the following. Wired: Windows XP, O!Player, Sony BluRay, Wireless: WD Media Player Live, Windows 7 Laptop, WiiWent with Belkin N+. It has good wireless N range, Gigabit and it also looked like it had a suitable NAS, without mentioning requirements for additional software which could only be installed on PCs. The NAS does support NTFS, which is required, if you have larger movie files over 4GB.When the Windows 7 Laptop is wired to it, I can transfer a 1 Gig file between the 2 PCs in around 20 seconds. That beats the 35 seconds it takes to copy the file between local hard drives in my PC.The WD Live and Laptop are both wireless N. I haven't noticed any dropped connection since using the new router. The NAS side of things is not all of what I had hoped for.Even when wired, transferring a 1 Gig file is over 4 minutes, which is far slower then regular USB to the computer. I was able to watch movies on both PCs, at the same time, so the speed is acceptable for streaming multiple movies. Both PCs have been able to see the NAS external hard drive right away. It may be due to the fact that I installed the software that came with the router, but even after I uninstalled it, just seeing the network drive is not a problem. The Belkin storage manager software, for PCs, actually slows things down and causes periodic network traffic so I have uninstalled it.The prim problem comes from trying to view the USB drive from either the O!Player or WD Live. It took me a while to figure out the multiple sets of passwords needed to get O!Player connected. I have currently given up on attempting the connection from WD Live. The other problem is that the USB drive does not spin down when not in use. This, in theory is not the router issue but a feature that may or may not be there in the external drive. Some people want their drives to spin down and others don't. Manufactures don't seem to be in a rush to publish this information. In theory, if the power isremoved from the USB port, the powered external drive will shutdown, but this would be an issue for 2.5 inch drives that are not externally powered. It would be nice to see firmware updates to add configuration for password and drive spin down.DD-WRT does not support this router so attempting to change the Linux firmware does not seem like an option, to fix the USB issues.

Cons: Not Able to Stream video from the attached storage.

Pros: Gigabit, wireless N, USB for attached storage,
Comment:
After a week of using this router and testing the functionality, I have found the wireless is good as far as range and connectivity. The Gigabit ethernet is great for wired file transfers. Using the USB port for storage is good for back ups and for streaming music over the wired connection only. I have not been able to get anything to stream over the wireless connection at all. still satisfied with the product,
Pretty Good

Bought this about 2-3 weeks ago. Haven't failed me yet. It's delivering a constant 270 Mbps and that's a lot more than what I was getting with my previous wireless G router so I'm very pleased.

I must have got a lemon, because this one simply does not work. It will not recognize the hard wired lines connected to it, nor will it recognize my modem. I've been in contact with Belkin, and while they say they will be helpful, they are not. I was promised an answer to my email in 24 hours; it has been 4 days now, and still nothing from Belkin. I does recognize a wireless connection, but will not recognize the modem unless I hook it up to another router, which defeats my whole purpose of getting a new router. Weird; definitely a ninety dollar paperweight.

I have to say that the only problem I had turned out to be that I set it up wrong so I had to do it over. It has been working great. The instructions were fairly simple even for a blockhead like me.

Range is horrible! My old Netgear pre-N Unit had better reach. When it works it's fast, but it intermittently drops off the air and confuses my wireless devices. Looks like a great deal, but it's still a Belkin.

The unit was DOA. Belkin technical department, if you can manage to get in touch with them, are utterly incompetent. The geek talked to me as if I were a five year old. After much annoyance from this barely coherent bumbler, they finally they agreed to send me a new unit. The original was sent back to Belkin in California via courier from eastern Canada at considerable cost and inconvenience. In all fairness, the new unit, which I received after four weeks works fairly well. But was it worth it? With the extra shipping charges, it ended up costing me much more than it should have. Do yourself a favour and stay away from Belkin.
