Any rebate this company offers is a scam. You have to be ready to jump through lots of hoops before you'll see a dime from them - and then that will be on a Visa debit card with an expiration date on the money. NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE! The product is decent but certainly NOT worth twenty dollars. nyteshade |

I'm disappointed in this cooler. It's nice that it acts as a USB hub, but it doesn't seem to be cooling as much as other products and the fan in LOUD. Unless you really need the this unit, I'd recommend getting a quieter cooler and a separate USB hub. |

If you are looking to cool your laptop, this is not the option for you. The fans are very weak. On the other hand the USB and card reader comes in handy, especially if my MacBook Pro only has 2 USB ports. The aluminum shell matched my MacBook and does fit underneath it quite nicely. It comes with a tiny driver disc which was difficult to install with the disc drive on a Mac. I had to download the drivers in the end, but you don't need the drivers for fan or USB. |

The product is well made, good sturdy materials, however if you plug both the card reader and the USB ports you really only gain 1 extra port. I would rather see USB ports on both ends as most computers and printers have Card readers now. Also when I plug in the card reader my CPU usage goes to and stays at almost 100%. I don't use the card reader. |

I am very pleased with the quality of this product. It is very durable, and the aluminum case is a great idea to further pull heat away from your laptop. The only real problem that I have with it is the fact that the fans take up so much power that there isnt much left of the 500 milliamps that you get from one USB port to power much else. If the USB devices that you connect to the hub are powered by an alternate source, you will have no problems using them. Haven't tried the card reader feature yet, but hopefully there will be no issues with this part of the device. Over all, a great way to extend the life of the thermal-sensitive components contained within a laptop computer; with features that can be useful as long as you know what you are getting into. |
I purchased a budget laptop about a year ago. Being a lower-end machine, it did not have adequate USB ports and no card reader ports. When not on the road, this is my 2nd home computer and this Card Reader, Hub, Cooling Fan combo is just what I needed. The fan might run a little loud in a quiet environment, but with my music playing (all the time) it is not noticeable. Good value.
