Cons: would be nice if it had a 4 pin adapter but not a big deal

Pros: QuietWorks as advertised
Comment:
Got this fan to replace a northbridge motherboard fan that was the loudest fan in my PC. It is amazing how much noise the wrong 40mm fan can make. This fan has reduced a major irritant for me!

Cons: * air flow noise ok, mechanical noise high

Pros: * 3 pin connector* has tachometer sensor
Comment:
I bought two of these fans to replace the high volume (and high noise) fans in a Netgear FSM7352S IP switch. The switch was designed to go in to a server room or equipment closet environment, but I wanted to use it in my home office. In open air (unmounted), the fans were relatively quiet, but when I mounted them in the Netgear switch there was a noticeable 70Hz mechanical hum/vibration transferred from the fan body to the switch chassis. Depending on how the fans are used, this may or may not be an issue. With my use, I didn't end-up getting the Netgear switch much quieter - just changed the nature of the noise. Also, when mounting them in the chassis, I found that the construction of the fan to be quite flimsy. When I applied any kind of torque on the fan screws, the body of the fan would twist, causing the fan blade to touch against the body.

Cons: NOT Silent

Pros: Cools OK for its size
Comment:
I got this little fan for a little bit of extra cooling in my mini pc which I'm using as my router. It does do decent cooling but it most definitely is not silent when running at full speed, it produces a very audible high pitch sound when running at full speed.
