Cons: * None so far

Pros: * Quiet* PWM* White blades look good* Cheap for PWM fan
Comment:
Needed a PWM fan and didn't want to pay a lot, this was on sale for around $10 so I grabbed it. Controlling it via PWM from my motherboard, it is silent at idle (~400rpm) and barely audible at 1,200rpm. I can hear it at 1,500rpm but don't let it ramp up that high as I do not need that much airflow.

Cons: Installation can be tricky.

Pros: Quiet.Good cable length.
Comment:
Got 2 of these on sale for my newly build system. Packaging was good and easy to open. Installation of the rubber mount was tricky and painful with fingers only. Much easier and quicker method would be to use a needle nose plier - don't worry, the rubber won't break. Power cable length was good as you can easily reach most location on the mainboard in a mid-size case. Once plugged in, fan is barely noticeable, if at all.

Comment:
Bought 8 of these to replace the stock fans in 2 builds, as well as to increase case airflow. Replaced Antec Tri-cool, and CM stock case fans.Computers are now quieter and cooler. Would recommend if you need quiet case fans without breaking the bank.

Pros: Inexpensive, quiet, good air flow.
Comment:
I bought about four or five of these last year. They are quiet and inexpensive. They have good airflow (enough for my top case fan vents to float paper a few inches and spin it).I have been happy with these fans and they have been running strong for almost a year now, would recommend.

These are excellent fans for their price. I can only hear them at ~1100+rpm, below this, there is no audible sound.

This is the fan to have. I'd been looking around for months before I finally decided to take on risk on this fairly unknown brand (at least to me.) The product I received is fantastic, it has turned lowered the noise level on my rig by about 5-10 db. The loudest part of my computer is now the WD black harddrive. I plan on buying 3-4 more for the rest of my case.

Cons: - Rubber mounts can be difficult to install at first

Pros: - Quiet, midrange fan- Sturdy rubber mounts- Competitively prices
Comment:
The GELID Silent 12 PWM's are a great mid-range fan for those looking for a quiet solution with reasonable airflow. The only gripe I had with these fans is with the rubber fan mounts at first. They were tricky to get on, and I understand why people can find them hard to install. With a bit of technique (and some force), they attach quite easily and I'm confident these fans aren't going anywhere. I've heard of people hesitant to remove the fans, afraid that the rubber mounts would break, but I assure you that the rubber mounts are a very durable and high grade, that you'd need to put a massive amount of force to even tear them.As for the sound emitted from them, at full blast they to produce around 25.8- 26.1 Db from what I've recorded. This isn't too bad for something priced so competitively, and essentially all you hear is a slight "purr" or "wurr" from the fans. Those looking for something "silent" should fin other, slower fans, or high-end pricier fans. The box comes with a nifty case badge, and no other extra mounts or instructions. Overall, I would recommend these to anyone looking for a black/white scheme, a budget-priced fan, or anything to replace any loud low end stock fan.

Cons: Doesn't come with screws

Pros: Nice colors, pwm, sleeved cable
Comment:
For about $5 a pop, you can't really go wrong with these, especially since they have a decent sleeving as well. It would be nice if these had screws as well as the anti vibration mounts, but most people have extra screws anyway.

Cons: Noisy, not daisy chain

Pros: Brand Name?
Comment:
I put this on my CM Storm Scout side panel. I didn't use the PWM since it's used by the Hyper 212+ CPU cooler. So I plugged it into a normal 3-pin fan header for full speed. I thought even at full speed, it's only 1500RPM and should be quieter than my other fans. Wow, isn't it noisy. It's noticeably noised than all the 3 Storm Scout fans and the Hyper 212+ fan together. I just had to take it off after using it for a day.Gelid should designed it like the Artic Cooling PWM fan so that I can daisy chain it and share the PWM fan header with other PWM fans.

Pros: Moving a good air amount.Fairly priced.
Comment:
I'm putting 2 GELID Silent 12 PWM in my new fractal design case. They are very quiet and moves a lot of air as stated in reviews and on the Gelid's website. Before you buy, be sure to have enought 4 pin connectors on your MoBo to control the fan's rpm! Otherwise, connecting the fan in 3pin will make it run at full speed.

Pros: Silent, 4-pin cable for speed control, long and sleeved cables (great for a front fan)
Comment:
I'm using this as a front fan to provide fresh air inside my case. The cable is sleeved and long enough for people with cases that have cable management behind the motherboard. Very silent and comes with a 4-pin cable which is perfect for speed control. This review was modfied by poster @ 08-04-10 05:20 PM

Cons: -4pin connector is a con for me, but not for everyone-Cable a bit long, but I only have a midtower, but again fulltower users would like this

Pros: -Nice look with white blades-Sleeved cable (Don't usually see that on fans)-Nice and quiet yet still pushes a respectable amount of air
Comment:
I purchased this fan while it was on sale and I was definitely surprised with by it. I didn't expect the cable to be sleeved which I definitely didn't expect. It comes with a 4pin connector so the RPMs can be controlled from within Windows although I'm currently using it with a 3pin header. The cable is a bit long for my minder tower, using it as an exhaust it reaches any fan header with a bit too spare, would be great for full tower users. All in all, while it's not on sale there are other fans that I would most likely choose over this, unless you really like the white blades I would suggest waiting until this is on sale again.

Cons: The rubber Fan mounts are quite difficult to put in place, and even more difficult to remove from the case without breaking them. With somes cases, the rubber screw might also not fit as a front fan (my situation). Will looks very quiet only if you are used to loud fans. But if they are running at low speed and you are not in a very quiet room, they will feels very quiet though they are not silent.

Pros: 5 years WarrantyQuite cheapRegular 4 pins fan connector.Should last more than 6 years if the temperature is less than 40c.
Comment:
I wanted 2 reliable fans to push air on a RAID array of 10 hard-drives, and it does the job well. They also works fine with 3 pin connectors.I didn't care about the noise level, but the 5 years warranty and the 50,000 hours design claim at 40 celsius was what conviced me to try them. Since the intake air is normally always well under 25c (because of climatisation), they are expected to last until the end of the useful life of the server (5 or 6 years). Now, as they are marketed as silent Fan, you have to know that they are actually quiet not silent. The only way they are silent if is you use them as low speed exhaust fan. That said, the noise is quite low pitched and not much annoying as it will mix easily with the ambiant white noise (unless you are lucky enough to have less than 30dB of white noise).

Cons: Not so "silent", not a great under-volter

Pros: cheap, PWM, rubber mounts are a nice touch.
Comment:
I got this fan to connect to the PWM interface on my Zalman ZM-MFC1 Combo for my CPU fan. The fan itself isn't all that quiet, it has a bit a a whurrrrrr to it.When under-volted it some times exhibits clicking noises which drive me crazy some times. Unfortunately there isn't much choice when it comes to PWM fans. I would probably not buy another one of these and may replace it eventually with a high quality fan.

Cons: Only comes with 4-pin molex connector

Pros: Very quiet, rubber mountings to prevent vibration noise
Comment:
Great fans. I bought two of them a to use as intake fans and they do the job very nicely. Both of these fans operating at max RPM are still quieter than one of my other case fan (so I'll probably replace that one with one of these eventually). They move a fair amount of air but don't seem to be a high capacity fan...which accounts for their low noise production.

Pros: High airflowLong lasting motor w/ good bearingsCheap (~$7)Silent
Comment:
These are awesome fans for the side and exhaust fans. They are very silent due to the rubber grommets and the motor. If you want silence or just awesome airflow, this is the one to get. NOTE: If you are going to it as intake on Antec 300, the rubber grommets might disfigure the front mesh.

Cons: Really need PWM for that

Pros: QuietWorks wellSleeved cable
Comment:
My reference fan is the Nexus 120 MM which is still the best quiet fan out there, at least to my taste. However with my new Mobo I have 2 PWM headers so I decided to buy 2 of those Gelid fans (sadly NCIX doesn't carry the Nexus PWM). Using a P7P55D-E, at first the Gelid were not that quiet. But after enable Q-Fan control for both CPU & Chassis and choosing the "Silent" option everything is great. They spin at around 900 RPM and I like the fact that if things get toasty they will speed up to 1500 RPM, however I have yet to witness such a behavior. I really love the sleeved cable, makes for a much cleaner look. Color scheme is also good, and best of all price defies any competition...For those who think it's not silent, make sure that you are using a PWM (4-pin) header and enable fan control in bios. If you plug this in a 3-pin header, it will run at full speed with no possibility of controlling the speed.

Cons: - Rubber mounts were a bit-of-a-pain to install- No screws provided

Pros: + Quieter than my same sized Antec case fan on medium+ Good airflow + Fully sleeved cables are fairly long
Comment:
These fans work well, are fairly quiet and seem to push alot of air. However, they might be overkill as intake fans (maybe get the 37CFM fans instead). The fans themselves don't make any noise but you can hear the airflow. Overall, I would recommend these fans as they have a very good price/performance.

Cons: Not so silent.

Pros: It's a fan.It works.
Comment:
I'm not sure where anyone get soff callign these "silent"..Not LOUD, sure, ut my CM 120mm case fan is a little more quiet, and seems to push about as much airBut, they are by no means loud. I bought two jsut for... whatever i may need another fan for, and they both work quite well. I have one connected to a fan controller and it doesn't mind running at 4v. I do like the little rubber connectors, though I wish i had more. THey were a real bitch to initially install (had to to use pliers, sicne my weak littel stub-erd hands coudln't grip it well rnough) and upon removing a fan, half of the rubber things stayed in my case, wheil the otehr two stayed on the fan. But it's worhtwhile to have the vibrations absorbed.I certainly like them enough, but i will not purchase again. But they meet my requirements and the specs, so they get a 4/5 from me.Oh,as for the white color, i don't give a rats arse. Form is the VERY last thing i consider when i do computer stuff. I Did buy an ugly-assed HAF 922, after all.
