Cons: Doesn't come with any adapters except Crossfire bridgeRuns hotFans not so quiet

Pros: Great performanceLooks awesome
Comment:
This is a great card, but it runs hotter than my Sapphire 7970 OC cards and the fan is much louder. It's a little slower than the Sapphire's, but nothing significant. Lack of extra adapters is insignificant given you have the right PSU connectors, but Sapphire cards come with 2 PCI-e > Molex and a DVI > VGA. Nice if you need them, luckily for this card I didn't.

Cons: card started overheating and causing crashes when in game constantly after 5 months. i uninstalled and re installed drivers 100's of times. i checkedfor dust build up and there was not at all enough to cause a problem. i searched all over fourm sites and tried lots of support contacts including xfx and got now replys. now one fan is rattling and spinning off center....

Pros: amazing card, could run everything at max settings, any game to date
Comment:
upset this has been my first build and i put most of my money into this card and ive had such a bad experience with it.wish i could actually get a reply so i could get some kind of refund

Pros: Good graphic card, easy to install.

I was hesitating between this card and the GTX 680. The lower cost and the promo made me go for AMD. Very happy with my choice! This review was modfied by poster @ 03-27-13 07:57 PM

Pros: Runs cool. All metal shroud Dual fan

Replaced 5870 crossfire. Overclocked it to 1050/1500 with max temp at 61 and 37 idle. Feels like I can overclock it more but not worth pushing it too hard. With the old gpus get good fps (90-120) on all medium setting for bf3. Now mix off ultra and high setting with same or higher fps (95-130)then older setup. With 120htz monitor this gpu shines .

Cons: Can't watercoolCan't overclock

Pros: It's a 7970
Comment:
Be warned that if you're buying this card with the intention of overclocking you will be sorely disappointed. XFX made a mid-run, poorly documented change of the PCB of this board so it is NOT A REFERENCE board and so you can NOT get a full coverage water block.I was not able to increase the clocks on my board without getting out of my temperature comfort zone. I have a very, very sturdy power supply, so I tried to lower the voltage so I could squeeze out some more performance. But after emailing XFX I was informed that these cards are voltage locked. It's a 7970, so it will handle everything fine single monitor. However, if you want to run 3 monitor eyefinity with ultra settings, you may end up with some unreliable framerates.I'm having to buy another for crossfire because I'm finding games like Skyrim too choppy in eyefinity. And I've gone past my return period.

Cons: Overclocking a 'no go'?

Pros: Crazy performance
Comment:
I just got this card about a week ago. I don't think I'm a complete idiot when it comes to overclocking, but by no means a pro. I've tried to use the AMD utility and other utilities as well, and they seem to "work". However, when I go to play a game, my frame rates drop  to around 20fps and never go higher, even with decreasing all the graphics options. I'm not sure whats wrong. Still giving the card a 4/5 because it's plenty powerful for everything I play on it. Crysis 2 with everything at max ~60fps+

Cons: The card needs power which is normal

Pros: A mind Blowing card for its price
Comment:
This video card will make your computer a monster that takes any challenging games out there to the ground .just name the game and your FPS would not drop  Less than 40 , knowing that the card alone is not the right thing , you will also need a i5 with a nice motherboard and power supply of at least 750W. then we will talk power .The MHZ version is providing more performance , but the 900 ghz version should be enough for you to play in a peace of mind for the next 2 years .Tested it with 3D monitor …..still a blast .

Cons: none !

Pros: great fps out of the box
Comment:
With the amount of power this thing has you expect max FPS without tweaking on maximum settings on any game, but across a wide selection of games and a variety of settings the frame rate varies heavily.

Cons: None so far.

Pros: Solid build compare to Powercolor 7970.
Comment:
Got this to crossfire 7970. Originally was going to get Powercolor but it was sold out. I personally like this over Powercolor as Powercolor feels weak (structually) at the end part of the card.

Pros: Very good performance as can be read on other reviews on the internet.
Comment:
Received "Version 1.1" of the card - week of Feb 21st, 2012. This version does not have the dual bios switch (4/5 review because of that)
