bought this to replace a bulky 19" Samsung CRT monitor that croaked after 9 years (RIP). It's my first LCD monitor so i don't have any other LCD to compare it to, but for the price i couldn't be happier, and i am glad i didn't spend extra $$$ for a more expensive monitor.

Cons: Has VGA ports (You'll need a convertor or forced to buy one if you don't have an extra for those DVI cards)

Pros: Good monitor if on a budgetHas HDMI ports
Comment:
Pretty satisfied with the product for the price I got it at, everything works well and no dead pixels on mine. Some annoyances include the color changing almost immediately at a slightly different angle and a monitor pop-up every time u turn it back on, minor things really.

Cons: - Multiple Dead Pixel problems in my batch

Pros: - Bright, decent color- VESA Mount- Makes a good economy multi-display option
Comment:
Hook-up is simple as long as you realize these are D-Sub (VGA) or HDMI only. Common DVI-out cards will need an adapter or conversion cable.I'm using three of these screens in a surround configuration on an Ergotron DS100 mount. The bezel thickness seems a bit smaller than average, which helps. I rather wish the bottom controls didn't protrude so that I could use them in a "portrait" orientation as well. The standard VESA mount made installation problem-free.My first impression is that these screens are far more vivid that my old Acer LCD, which used cathode lighting instead of LED. It's also nice that they have no perceivable warm-up time to get full brightness. Colors seems quite good, although I found the default settings weren't quite consistent between the three screens. I was able to match them with some color adjustement. Optimium viewing angle is ALMOST an issue with the surround setup, but they seem to provide just enough angle to keep it from becoming a distraction. My biggest issue with them was dead pixels. In my original order 2 of 3 had at least one distracting dead pixel. The 2 replacement units were no better. Finally the REPLACEMENT replacements were ok. It took 7 units to find 3 good ones. I would definitely suggest pixel coverage from NCIX on these. These screens seem well-rounded, and a good value for the price. Expect some compromises, and maybe some exchanges, but no dealer-breakers. This review was modfied by poster @ 05-13-11 07:31 PM

Cons: Colors change noticeably based on viewing angle.Power cord is too short.

Pros: Looks sleek (especially in pairs)HD image looks crisp h high resNo Ghosting in games
Comment:
Purchased during mothers day special, delivered from Ontario to Montreal, then onto my doorstep in 24hrs! No dead pixels (thank god). Upgraded from a 19" LG LCD.A 24" would be an appropriate upgrade from a 19", as the height would be the same. This monitor is 1" lower then a standard square 19" & much wider. So consider that when making your purchase. I can fit 2 of these on my desk, 3 would be stretching it & I have a big desk. You have to fiddle with the image settings for about 20-30 minutes when setting it up, because the default settings are terrible. The menu system is annoying, but once you learn it, you will see its easy to navigate. Colors do change based on viewing angle, but I find its ok. Luckily I had a HDMI to DVI cable & that really improved the quality. This monitor can run very crisp h 1900 res, but i prefer to keep it around the 1300 mark for gaming. Im satisfied with the purchase & looking to pick up another one perhaps next month.

Cons: don't expect the world from cheap

Pros: Cheap 1080p monitor
Comment:
Got this on boxing day... very cheap 1080p monitor.9$ eco fee is a BS money grab from the government. Not the products fault but keep that in mind when purchasing.Express coverage was dirt cheap at 5% of the cost of the unit (6$) and gives good peace of mind for 30 days!Monitor works as expected, used for gaming and schoolwork by the wife's little brother.I have no particular attachment to this model, if I wanted another cheap model, I would go with the cheapest available which may or may not be this one.

I've read a lot of reviews before purchasing this monitor. So happy with it. If you are into some pretty high end graphic design stuff or proffesional work which requires a perfectly accurate color palette and so on, you need to pay MUCH more to get the quality you would want. For anything and everything else, this monitor is the BOMB. 21.5 inches for just over $100 bucks?? I've had lots of LCD's in my days of building custom PC's and this one is comparable to even some of the high end viewsonic screens I've owned/used. Dont be fooled by the cheap price. this monitor is excellent!

Cons: Lacks DVIHDMI was a bit iffy for some reason

Pros: Looks niceGood value (got it on sale)
Comment:
I picked this up when it was on sale for 115$ or so and for that price, this monitor was a steal. I really like where the buttons are located and how the bezel looks. The buttons don't interfere with the look of the monitor. I knew that it lacked DVI but I just couldn't resist the price. I would buy another one on a budget if it ever goes on sale though.

Cons: Im running the monitor in eyefinty along with two others. Now being cheap, one monitor wouldn't be display port, but it would have to use an adapter via such connection. A weakness is it does not have the more popular DVI connection. Does not have auto on feature like my other two monitors. I normally use a power bar to turn everything on ( two recievers, three monitors, pair of subwoofers,) and out of everything, this monitor is the only one that doesn't turn on automatically.

Pros: It has HDMI input. It has nice buttons , not like the touch pad on my Samsung monitor. So i can turn it on in the dark no problem. got it for 100 bucks, boxing day sale. Saved me some money - Check weakness -
Comment:
Im using the display in a eyefinty setup, and I was disapointed to find out that it didn't have a DVI connector. Fortunatly, it has HDMI, and the display port to HDMI cables are cheaper then the ones to DVI. So I ended up saving myself a few extra dollars unexpectidly. The color isn't very crips, the whites don't compare to a view sonic monitor I have. Its really vital having three different displays side by side. I thought my samsung was good, but its not as good as the view sonic color band wise, however both display better then the BenQ. On sale, I cannot complain because i paid 100 dollars. In gaming I won't notice the colors a bit off, espically in a FPS. Good buy overall, for someone who may want to run eyefinity via display port to HDMI, or use it as a computer display and for the Xbox 360.

Another very good monitor. It's full 1080P with HDMI input and is a nice 21.5". All for under $150. It's bright and the images are really sharp and clear. I love the stand and the shiny finish around the screen. What more can you ask from one of the best, but cheapest, 1080P monitors?

A good monitor, especially if you can get it on sale. It's perfect for office work and watching movies, but I do miss the extra vertical height lost in the newer batches of monitors.

Cons: HDMI does fill the screen (you can use the overscan settings to force that but I find it degrades the sharpness a tad). Also, the input button isn't labelled.

Pros: Good value.
Comment:
My son bought this for his new rig and it's a great basic monitor. No DVI on this unit and, as mentioned, the HDMI can be a bit fussy (at least with the ATI video card). I've put the VGA back on and it's great. With this in mind I have no problem calling this a great deal.

Cons: -Lack of proper colour/brightness/contrast options (if these are a huge issue to you, don't buy)-Options are a tradeoff: poor black levels but stable colours, or excellent black levels and slightly greenish hue.

Pros: -Displays 1080p-Great image quality/sharpness-Inexpensive (during recent sale)
Comment:
Beware that if you use an HDMI connection and don't get a picture on the screen, press enter one or two times to set the input mode to HDMI. The lack of some proper options is a downside, but for the very least I did get this monitor for an excellent price of $114.99 before taxes & environmental fees. I wouldn't buy it again unless at that price though.I've noticed a lot of strange things about this monitor; using the movie, dynamic or photo option it can give out an eery green hue to the surrounding area depending on what you're viewing. However, if you use one of the two other colour/brightness modes (standard and RGB), you get a really bad black level. On the other three modes the black level is excellent. This probably has to do with the backlight; it's a bit of a tradeoff I guess, but for the very least the image quality is great and the colours do still seem to blow my other, older monitor out of the water. The brightness is great and sometimes overwhelming too. The sharpness is simply mindblowing.

I bought this one 139.99 while it was a surprise rebate. It is a very great monitor, very great image quality. You need a hdmi cable to plug it in, only the VGA cable comes with the screen. You can adjust many things like brightness, contrass, etc. I recommend it !
