Straightforward to set up. Stable, ran well at the 1st boot. I didn't get any trouble whilst installing this mobo Style, components appear inexpensive. Lack of solid capacitor, it let me assume that this mainboard can't final lengthy. However, with this value I don't count on any factor superior.

Affordable, nice layout, heatsink for the south bridge is a nice touch, worked suitable out of the box. None This replaced a newegg-bought Jetway mobo that would not boot past NVRAM check. None of the tricks worked, so I bought this board at a nearby electronics-slash-grocery store. Paired this with an Intel E8400 and an Invidia 9600GSO as a refresh for my little ones' computer. If you are not expecting a lot, this is a very good board for a low cost construct.

I've purchased three of these boards so far and two of them gave me concerns (see cons). Apart from these troubles I've encountered, these have worked actually effectively for me! The initially one I purchased back in August was DOA. Not NewEgg's fault or anything, and I totally fully grasp that this takes place from time to time regardless of manufacturer. NewEgg replaced it for me quickly. It would have been less complicated if NewEgg had a will-call service and I would have had it replaced similar day.The last 1 of these I got final week didn't assistance the Celeron 3400 out of the box. According to the MSI web site, it says it supports it. What they don't inform you is that it desires a BIOS flash to help it producing me lose worthwhile time in troubleshooting pondering I had a dead CPU, motherboard, or PSU. Immediately after testing, I discovered all the hardware that may have been faulty did work and I just needed a BIOS flash for this motherboard. MSI need to have had the latest BIOS loaded to assistance the e3400.

I AM NOT Sure WHAT SOME OF YOU ARE Speaking ABOUT BUT I Place THIS IN WITH A DUO CORE 5300 AND A 9800 GT WITH 4GB CORSAIR MEMORY AND IT PLAYS GAMES Complete SPEED AHEAD.IT Performs SO Significantly Superior THAN MY AMD 7750 SETUP IT IS NOT EVEN FUNNY.IT DOES NOT OVERCLOCK Incredibly FAR BUT 227 FSB IS FAR Enough FOR A Spending budget BOARD. YOU CAN NOT GO Incorrect WITH THIS BOARD. Want I WOULD HAVE SWITCHED TO INTEL Lengthy TIME AGO. Place Some thing JUST A Tiny BIT Larger THAN A E5300 ON IT.

Got this motherboard for a pals laptop. I place collectively a scrap Computer for an entry level gaming laptop. So far it has worked very nicely, despite some EPIC FAILS other socket 775 MSI brands. Running Windows 7 64bit Household Premium edition, no hiccups but. . But for a โ motherboard and an old 775 Socket, it functions just fine.Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Core2 E6500EVGA GT430 1GB4GB Patriot PC6400 齠Mhz) 2x2GBWD Blue 320GB mainWD Green 1TB secondary The instructions that come with the motherboard are poor. The pins for Power, reset, speaker and what not are labeled incredibly strange, be certain to read the guidelines and flip them more than, misprint on instructions (Trust me!!!!!!!!! Look at the motherboard then at the guidelines and the pin layout) For a spending budget Computer or little entry level Gaming computer system, like WOW or anything little. It performs just fine for me. Don't try to run CRYSIS on it, the machine will melt.Would be good if it had 4 RAM slots vice just 2.

I have lately built two pc's with Pentium Dual-Core processors: same processor, similar speed ram, very same speed really hard drive, and so on. This mobo runs twice as rapidly as my other ASRock P43DE LGA 775 Intel mobo and for half the value!!! Definitely NONE! I don't know if it is the G31 versus the P43 chipset that makes the difference, but MSI continues to produce Rapid mobos!

So far so excellent....operating an E5300 processor and 2 gigs Important PC6400 ram and running at an typical of 24*C with the stock fan. Not arranging to overclock. I/O plate was little difficult to get into case, in fact took onger to set up this correctly than all the other hardware. Soon after reading some of the other evaluations of how the board crashed after about a month, to be secure, I purchased the one particular year extended warranty.

smaller and roomy this board is a pain in the rear. i have not had a single very good moment with this board. very first when i got it, windows 7 didn't recognized it's audio ports so i had to install a new sound card for the darn factor to output audio and now it just died on me after about 6months of ownership. quite disappointed with this item. this is my initial and final MSI item i'll ever obtain. if you are reading this then save yourself the headache and acquire a superior brand. btw i never do reviews on any item anyplace. this is my very first item review simply because it just plain sucks. I began acquiring MSI boards about 4 years ago. Yes there was a terrible one from jump street but then once more that happens. What I like about MSI is the auto updating from the web site. Since I have a lot of 775 processors I'm going to do a couple of spending budget builds. I've looked at a few boards on newegg & this model has a good layout. I'll do a different posting after I have them in the instances for sale. Please read other thoughts. No integrated DVI output,[but no biggie!!!] [that's what the PCIE is for anyways. Only 2 memory slots. [Make confident you get Newegg weekly emails.] Memory is often on sale.[This is not a con,] I purchased 32GB'sΐ-2GB pack's]- 800MHz on sale final year for ฼. shipped. ;-) So I'm set for a when..... 2 memory slots is not really a con with an Intel Dual Core & 4GB's of memory, that ought to give 75% of the buyers what they require. If your a huge gamer, You can do the 8GB's on this board, not a con, just some more funds & a good Graphics Card. Pg. 4 on the critiques: Buyer stated that this model will only assistance a 65watt CPU. Please go to msi.com, then to "products," then to "Motherboards,"- appear up "G31TM-P21" MSI shows about 60 single & dual core CPU's with FSB: 533-1333. Watt's: 35w-130w. Talk to Tech Help to double verify if it's just a BIOS update needed. That's their job. As reliability goes, MSI invests a fantastic deal in technologies. Chances are you may be upgrading a program with a Motherboard that was in fact manufactured by MSI. To close, I not too long ago sold a upgrade system for a return client. Gigabyte board, AM2- 2GHz[I OC'd it]ǙGB 800MHz. I was capable to take the MSI: KT6-Delta,[check the release date on this board] place in a Athlon XP-MP 2400+ CPU, OC to 2.25GHz wǙGB 400MHz memory & have a method that is so steady, I'll sell it with a warranty. I'm not bragging, I just wish I would have picked up on these boards when I had the chance. I would have produced additional dollars for the spending budget minded buyers I deal with locally.

Great target practice, the northbridge shatters nicely with a nicely placed 9mm slug. Watch out for ricochets, a big heatsink is on the north bridge. First negative solution I purchased from newegg. Doa on arrival, but I applied a new thermal paste that flowed onto the board a little. Not going to attempt to rma,the final results of that are uncomplicated to forecast. Didn't see till troubleshooting that cpu pins had been bent. Luckily, I didn't blow the cpu in attempting to force it to operate. I have an msi p6n sli in my principal rig, very best mb I've used, but this 1 is for the landfill. Was only searching for a inexpensive mb to develop a 'puter for my daughter in law........my poor. Providing msi one much more attempt, newegg two.

have a core two duo e7500鲸 bucks) and a msi low profile ATI msi r4550 1gb ddr3 vid card࿒bucks) and 2x1gb pny ddr2 667mhz ram ࿈ bucks two years ago). this combo price me near absolutely nothing. runs warcraft @ 60fps higher setting and surfs like a champ. cant locate a far better combo for the price tag. If your not going i5 or i7. You can have oneself a actually fantastic system on the low-cost. waiting for the core two quad rates to drop to make use of the 1333mhz frontside bus e7500 is 1066 but for the price tag its great. get the ATI msi r4550 1gb ddr3 vid card࿒bucks) the sys fan and card heat sinks have just sufficient area to match fantastic pair

This is just a good fundamental board. Has all the simple connections. Built in video and audio isn't negative. Will manage all the standard every day tasks, ex. online, e mail, video. None genuinely, but if your searching for some thing to deal with much more high finish applications and gaming, go with a different board. If you seeking for anything steady and trustworthy for daily use this would be the 1. Neweggs the ideal!

I've bought a number of of these boards just before in the past and I haven't really had any troubles with them. They've generally been solid boards to create systems out of. None Like I said int he Pro section above, I've purchased numerous of these and haven't had any actual problems except for once when a board was actually DOA. A single negative incident nonetheless has not turned me away from returning to these boards because I know that concerns come about from time to time.My other incident with an additional one of these boards was that it necessary a BIOS flash to support a CPU. But that really isn't an challenge as I was able to resolve it w/o the will need of an RMA. Other than these two items, this board has usually been flawless.I will maintain obtaining these boards until MSI phases them out.

Indeed Robin. This Mobo is wonderful. I utilized it to replace my burned out mobo in my gateway P4. Setup was simple, and whilst it took a small bit of BIOS configuring (specifically setting the fan speed decrease than one hundred% so I can hear myself think as out of the box this Mobo ran my fan complete blast all the time, and also switching the order of the boot devices - absolutely nothing out of the ordinary) this mobo was easy to hook up. The drivers with the CD have been a little out of date but still useable. My mobo passed all of the method tests. -Fan speed by default 100% (sounds like a jet engine)-CD drivers could use updating-Only two slots for Ram - These aren't something key, just creating note of them Surprisingly, this small board overclocks fantastic if you don't will need to touch the voltages. Nonetheless, I was able to get my P4 531 three.0ghz to 3.625 without any voltage change steady. I also synced my price range PQi 800mhz ram 2-to-1 and its operating at 941mhz, 1.8 volts, five-5-five-15, stable via memtest and prime95 (H0LY POOP). General, this mobo is awesome for each day use or even as a simple gaming board. Although you don't get 4 ram slots or fairy dust with this board, for the cash, it just about stands alone. Honestly, what other board can get a three.0ghz P4 HT to 3.625ghz on stock voltage? I would have been suprised to get that higher on 1.four volts or superior. Great board.Oh and to answer the query of the other reviewer, the G31 chipset is just fine, its an oldie but a goodie.

For a simple board it had enough capabilities for my daughters wants. No video concerns. In time will install a video card with HDMI for streaming to 1080p tv. None so far.
