Picked this up for a buddy that wants to do some gaming on nightshifts. Solid little powerhouse, with a BEAUTIFUL screen. Many people complain about glossy monitors, but I've always found them to be excellent from Asus.

Picked this up about 2 weeks ago, so far i've been very impressed with it. Only playing a couple games right now, WoW and world of tanks and it runs both in high settings quite easily. I had a pretty decent desktop before the MB on it died and wanted some portability although I was worried about getting a notebook due to preformace. Well I was completely wrong with this unit, its quite a bit faster then my desktop was too! I had saved my 19inch monitor in case i wanted to use it with the notebook but after playing with this unit i will be giving it away, the 17.3 inch screen is wonderful and is more then enough veiwing area. Only downside is if you are lugging it around a lot (daily basis) you will notice its a big unit, but really its to be expected with a powerfull gaming rig. Overall its been great so far and extremely impressed with it :)

Pros: Speed, graphics, cooling system, everything!

I bought this computer after shopping around for something for quite some time. I needed something for Adobe Suite CS5(InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier) and the occasional gaming. This computer is retarded fast, it boots up Photoshop in seconds and processes graphics without any lag at all. I am amazed at how fast it is and how cool and quiet it runs. I have had to multitasking heavy tasks and it runs soooo cool, so much so you can't feel any heat coming from the case. The large ports at the back definitely help with cooling off the system. The only down side is the lack of a eSATA connection or a fire wire connection. That and how they have the hard drives partitioned is ridiculous, Its partitioned into 4 different drives at around 230-320gigs. Copying between drives is slower than expected and when you have 4 2TB drives hooked up to it its annoying having to deal with 8 different drives in 'My Computer'. Otherwise this computer dominates my old HP HDX.

I bought this computer so I can play online games when im on the road. This laptop definately did not disapoint me. I can play starcraft 2 multiplayer on ultra settings, call of duty black ops with AA turned up to 16x, view distance full at full HD resolution. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a desktop equivilant laptop or a on-road gamer!
