This is a great desktop replacement. As others have said it handles anything you can throw at it, just don't expect to do much while on the battery alone. The build quality is top notch, keyboard and display are great and even the speakers sound good for a laptop (the subwoofer helps a lot here I think). My only complaint is that it came with vanilla windows 8 installed when the advertising implied it would have win 8.1 Pro. If you need encryption or any other Pro feature you will have to invest more money to upgrade.I have used this machine for many MMO and action games such as Final Fantasy ARR and Crysis 2 and 3 as well as for running ArcGIS and it works very well with anything I have tried so far. Plunk it in your preferred place and go to town...it is a bit heavy for moving around much though

I don't know what else to ask for if you have this big guy. It runs every big game extremely smoothly, Rome 2, COD 6, you name it. The most impressive part is it's so quiet and you can hardly feel the heat while it's running these games. I've been a loyal customer for ASUS ROGs since many years ago but this model is by far that impresses me the most. On top of its performance, its low key but elegant hardware design and its nice keyboard are good bonuses to you when you own it. I contemplated this laptop for a month or so because of its price comparing to the other G750 models, but now I'm definitely very happy that I went for this model.

This thing is a beast. It runs everything I throw at it with ease and looks beautiful. BF4 is unreal and not even a stich of lag at ultra settings, WoW runs at 100+ fps and in full raids around the 70+ fps mark. CoD Ghosts the same, Citeies XL is about the only thing I have found that can even mildly slow this thing down but that is ultra settings with lots going on.The ssd is nice and quick, the second hard drive is a nice storage option. 16 gigs of ram is awesome and have never come close to pushing it full. The wireless and regular plugged internet always push my telus to the max. Screen resolution is awesome and it is a beautiful full 1080p display.I have had no problems running multiple games/applications all at the same time with little to no lag time flipping between. Start up and sleep restart times are ridiculously fast, boot is about 8 seconds and from sleep is almost as fast as opening the screen to full.They keyboard is very nice, has a great feel to it and while some may say only white backlite I think it makes it look classy with the fit and finish of the laptop.If I could recommend anything that this lacks it is not in hardware it would be in design. The power plug and internet jacks should not be on the right hand side(sorry leftys) this is predominantly the side most people will have there mouse on and then having the cables there is annoying(not terribley but you have to keep more space between the laptop and mouse) also the fact that there is no windows key kill switch. This is a "gaming" machine. You can not buy a gaming keyboard without it having a windows key kill switch, this should be manditory!!Overall this laptop is an awesome purchase, it is priced adequately compared to other rigs out there but this truly has everything, the best graphics, the best processor, great ram, nice sized ssd(should have been the raided version that the lesser model has though). I would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking to replace their desktop for a gaming laptop!

Love the laptop, works great. I have expanded the memory to 32gig and it works. I would like to let you know that the Ram is 1.35v DDR3 1600. NCIX had Kingston that is compatible, but if you dont feel like waiting for shipping, it runs Crucial Mac compatible ram without a problem. Its CAS 11 but so is the factory ram. Just a heads up for anyone interested.

Using for gaming and also as a portable workstation. English keyboard, not that bilingual monstrosity with the extra keys moving the enter and shift where they are hard to reach. Keyboard has excellent feel and the arrow keys are full-size, which is not always the case. Love the matte 1080P screen, no reflections, much better than a glossy one. It is relatively quiet, with some fan noise, but much less than others I considered. The GTX780M is much faster that the 760 or 770, well worth the extra money. Cons: The screen does not tilt back that far - I have it on a stand sometimes with a separate keyboard, and I must limit the angle of the stand because the screen will not go back all the way. The power supply is huge, which I thought was unavoidable, but Razer manages to make a small power brick. The computer extends several inches behind the screen hinge. This is for the cooling vents, but it means you need a really big case or knapsack to carry it. All in all I am very happy. Performance is great, all the games I have tried work extremely well, it's much better to type on than most gaming laptops, and the build quality is excellent. I looked at the MSI, ALienware, and HP, and the ASUS was the best of the bunch.For those who hate Windows 8 (me), I was able to install Windows 7 and get absolutely everything working perfectly except a few of the Fn keys.
