Cons: - 4 dimm sockets- PCIe slots are too close one from each other- 10 second to POST

Pros: - Great Budget motherboard- High Overclock capability
Comment:
If you don't want the highest motherboard and want to try out the i7 proc., get this board, everything worked from the box to the end of the installation. I would recommend it in a heartbeat. GET IT.

Cons: Poor reliability

Pros: feature rich
Comment:
Mine got the instant reboot-issue, now I have to RMA it to gigabyte and be without my rig for who-knows how long.On a board this pricy, reliability and quality need to be very, very good. I'm disspointed that mine was not up to par. It's a major inconvenience.

Cons: Noisy operation, noisy headphone out, only 4 ram slots

Pros: Bang for the buck, Decent quality for OC'ing
Comment:
My first board crapped out on me. It would not shutdown, instead it automatically reboots. Got a replacement board and everything works great now.Overall this is a high quality no-frills motherboard for the Core i7. If you don't need all that fancy stuff (SLI, 3 video cards, dual LAN etc), can't really go wrong with this.

Cons: -no sli (price)

Pros: -Great for overclocking (if you plan to overclock)-Great for budget i7 PCs
Comment:
This mother board does not offer all the fancy stuff but because of its price I believe it offers just a bit extra. It is great for budget i7 PC, I picked it up because reviews on the net were very positive and they were right. It does not offer SLI but I don't plan on running more than one video card. Unfortunately my ud3r bios crapped out on me but Gigabyte offers a 3 year warranty. I was just unlucky but it was an inconvience. Mother board offer DUAL BIOS but that failed on me as well. Still giving it a positive review because there is no other board (well maybe the MSI if it was a bit cheaper) for best bang for buck mobo.

Cons: - Only 4 DIMM slots- pci-e 16x slots are too close- heatsinks get a little hot- doesn't come with many accessories

Pros: - 2 OZ copper layer- Gets the job done- Great at overclocking- Good pcie layout- Very cheap- Gigabyte
Comment:
I bought this motherboard for my new Core i7 rig and I must say, it does a good job. It is relatively cheap, but doesn't skimp on features either. While it only has 2 pci-e 16x slots, that's really all anyone really needs. Although the first 1x slot is blocked by the northbridge heatsink, you can always use the 2nd one, which is usually not there for other motherboards. Otherwise, I don't really mind the 4 DIMM slots, as 3 will be the most I will ever need. Aside from that, overclockability is very good; I was able to overclock my i7 920 to 3.8Ghz on stock voltage with no problems, although it was a d0 stepping processor. In all, I would definitely recommend this motherboard to anyone wanting to take the leap onto i7 processors.

Cons: Only 4 RAM slots.

Pros: One of the cheaper X58 boards.Well built.Nice layout.Easy overclocking.BIOS update=SLI.
Comment:
Easily overclocked my 920 to 4.2GHz on water. The BIOS is straight forward and easy to understand. Very minimal vdroop, about 0.016v. All the heatsinks remain cool with a little airflow. The floppy and IDE connecters are in bad locations but who the heck uses those anymore! ;)

Cons: Only 4 RAM slots, would have liked an eSATA input, horizontal SATA ports kind of awkward to work with in my case (P182).

Pros: Value-priced 1366 board, good performance, lots of OC/BIOS options.
Comment:
One of the few affordable 1366 boards at the time I purchased my i7 920. Setup was straightforward. Only difficulty was working with the SATA cables with my Antec P182 case. Would have liked more slots for RAM and an eSATA port. Otherwise, it's been running the system rock solid.

Cons: Tight and odd layout of SATAs and heatsinks on the chipset

Pros: Excellent build quality, overclocking ability
Comment:
Just make sure that you check which cooler you are going to put on this as the heatsinks around the processor might interfere. The board detected gSkill ram effortlessly and did not need any update s. The only beef i have with Gigabyte is their inability to integrate a BIOS update  from DVD/CD ROM.

Cons: room for only one set of 3channel ddr3

Pros: cheapest i7 board available, easy install
Comment:
i am very impressed with this board. never had a build go so smooth. plugged everything in, installed windows 7 beta...no issues. gotta love that. i have learned from my last gigabyte board, get the right RAM. they don't seem to like high voltage RAM even though the BIOS can be tweaked, it just gives you headaches.

Cons: None that I could find. Very solid

Pros: Good value, not too pricey, but well built, good quality.
Comment:
I had been holding out for awhile with my Q9550, but I had a deal lined up for a processor and ram for an i7 build and I couldn't resist. Plus I saw this board, and read some really good reviews on it. currently testing at 3.8Ghz after a few hours of researching and learning the new items to set. Which is also a great + is the board also supports SLI as well as Crossfire, my board came already loaded with the F5 Bios. Very happy with it, and would recommend it to anyone not wanting to spend a large chunk of money, but still move to i7 platform and get good results.

This is a really good motherboard if you're looking to build an i7 budget system. I've been able to easily overclock my i7 920 to 3.8GHz on this board, and I am really new to overclocking. So far I have nothing bad to say about it.

Pros: Excellent board

This board is cheap and very very good. I heard you can do sli with the board with a firmware update  which I will probably do if I need to ever to do sli. This board supports crossfire which is a great and the network card and built in sound works flawlessly. This is probably the best board in the sub $200 range and with price match becomes a great board to complement a i7 920

Pros: very solid, good for overclocking, easy to use bios, easy to update  bios, good price compared to other core i7 boards

Would recommend to people building a solid i7 rig, without having to spend crazy amounts on expensive boards, this does exactly what you want and then some. Running a core i7 at 3.6, full load 73 degrees, GTX260, 6GB Ram.

Cons: well no SLI, and only 4 ram slots (so really 3 in triple channel)

Pros: AWESOME OVERCLOCKER FOR THE PRICE! i7 920 at 4.3GIG in 20min!
Comment:
This is an amazing mobo for the price, the cheapest 1366 mobo u can get and overclocks GREAT! Hows about an i7 OC'd to 4GIG in less than 5 minutes! and 4.3GIG in about 20min!!!!! STABLE, well temps are scaring me, and I went back to 4.0 (as 4.3 was hitting 90-100c quick). But seriously don't waste ur money on an expensive i7 mobo, this sucker overclocks like a $500 mobo for half the price. Running 6GIG of DDR3 (and no room for anymore), so thats a downside, but isn't 6GIG enough? And NOW IT HAS FULL SLI!!! just download latest Bios from Gigabyte!!, all those above overclocks are with a i7 920. Best 1366 mobo! (FOR THE PRICE anyway)...great mobo, buy it! (no I don't work for Gigabyte lol)1 week update :  well I can not get 4.3 stable or cool, I keep adding voltages, then I get up to 90-100c VERY fast. But anyway 4GIG is a simple and easy deal with this mobo. Got 4.3GB for 24/7 with fairly low voltages, and 4.3gb is my fastest as that gets my Ram at the right ratio to run at aleast 1600Mhz, I can post at 4.4+GB but ram is at another ratio and is slower and then whole system is slower, well and then also UNCORE and QPI LINK are super slow so that alos bottlenecks system. Keep that in mind, just because u overclock super fast CPU speed, unless UNCORE and QPI LINK and RAM speed are not also running faster the whole system will bottleneckdon't believe me?look here:http://forums.vr-zone.com/overclocking-bazaar/380387-gigabyte-x58-ud3r-budget-mobo-not-budget-oc.htmlupdate  4MONTHS LATER: AND THIS MOBO STILL KICKS ASS, 4.2GHZ FOR MY 24/7 OVERCLOCK, RAM AT 1600MHZ, AND NEVER A PROBLEM OF ANY KIND. GREAT MOBO AND NOW HAS SLI WITH LATEST BIOS FROM GIGABYTE! This review was modfied by poster @ 04-14-09 12:07 PM
