Cons: None

Pros: - Affordable- Onboard video- Room for expansion
Comment:
Bought this board with a core i3 and has been running great. HDMI is a plus, as well as the onboard dvi and vga. Gigabyte makes really solid boards and this one is no exception.

I bought this motherboard for an HTPC build. The board is well laid out and the manual is easy to use and understand for describing sockets and jumper setting. The only hiccup I ran into was figuring out that I had to go their website to download HD audio and video drivers before I could get the HDMI connecting working. Once working, the onboard graphics doesn't seem to have enough umph to handle the HDMI connection with a flat panel TV, and stream internet TV via mediacenter though it (I've got 4 GB of RAM on the mobo) so I am buying a dedicated graphics card for that purpose. Otherwise, a great board, easy to use and install, and so far, handles the application pretty good.

Only complaint is 2 memory slots but works fine for my inlaws. I was surprised this had a FDD slot. Plenty of sata ports but only one port for system fans!

Sure it only has 2 ram slots. BFD. 45 gigs is plenty to do what I need. Ill just wait till the 4gig density sticks get less expensive. Got this with an i5. Fastest computer ive ever owned... no need to overclock!

The only thing it lacks is two more memory slots, otherwise it's great.

Used for new build with I3, Win 7 64-bit. Having issue with printer driver (but that is 64-bit & HP). Doing the job for me!

Motherboard itself is a good deal. Has the DVI and HDMI built right in and they all work well.

The form factor was smaller than expected, but is fully funtional and upgradable. This is a build for a family member and I'm sure they will get a few or more use out of it be for they will need a new computer.

WOW! I got this as part of a bare bone kit and I was suprised to not have ANY issues at all. Paired with an i3 processor this makes for a great media PC starting point. This is my first Gigabyte MoBo but not my last. Thanks gig.

board layout is good. limitation I noticed - only two memory slots. that means you can't add more, without throwing away the two old ones.

I love this MB however the only thing to use caution with is that their is only 1 fan connection besides the cpu fan. I wanted to add 2 fans... and now I need to figure out how to work around it.

I got this motherboard with an Intel i3-530 and I was blown away by the performance. This mobo would make a great HTPC with the built-in HDMI capability through the i3's on-board Graphics. I would highly recommend for a budget-conscious PC as well.

First off it was a great deal with the i3 540. Second, the shipping box looked like it sustained a 4 foot fall and had no foam peanuts or any thing in it. Regardless I put every thing together and it booted right and and was fast as hell! Kudos to Gigabyte for making their

Great board!! This board with only the Core I3 is smokin fast. Gigabyte continues to make better boards than Asus. Asus usually finds a way to make theirs a tad bit faster, but I have always found Asus boards to be more buggy. This board and Core I3 is great package.

Ordered 1 arrived DOA, had replacement shipped, it also was DOA. Normally Gigabyte boards are pretty reliable but this series a dismal failure (maybe because it's made in Taipei???) I suggest you avoid this model. Hopefully this is not a sign of things to come from Gigabyte. Try ASUS instead.

This is only the second one I've ever installed. No experience with any other boards except one that burned out and I don't remember what brand that one was. I am a noobie at building but all went well. I had a bit of confusion with screw holes and such, but that was me, not the board. One note: There are only two USB headers on this board. I needed three. The instructions say that you can add a USB bracket to each and that will give you a total of 4 USB plug-ins. I have yet to be able to find that bracket at TD or anywhere else. I will keep on searching.
