Cons: - Seriously I don't think there's any, even at a price targeted for value.

Pros: - SO MUCH value in this board for only 85$!- Onboard VGA/DVI/HDMI- Very stylish board that doesn't take a lot of space.- 2oz copper?- Seems to have pretty good overclocking features in the bios.
Comment:
I bought this to upgrade the Pentium 4 crappy computer of the mom of my GF. I couldn't believe how cheap it was to make her computer at least 10x faster. I've used 2x1Gb OCZ DDR3 40$ and AMD X2 250 at 70$.

Cons: No Sideport memory for Radeon HD 4200 graphics.

Pros: Great mobo, excellent price. Many features.
Comment:
This is an excellent motherboard. It's Gigabyte, so quality bas always. Its got every port you can imagine. 6 USB PS/2, eSATA, FW 400, 10/100/100 ethernet, everything. Still have legacy support for IDE and Floppy so that good. 785G and the Radeon HD 4200 rock. While not the best for gaming, its got to be the best chipset for HTPC users. 1080p is flawless and with Flash 10.1 installed, Flash becomes a non-issue. YouTube 1080p is perfect with no frames dropped. Runs all current AM3 processors and will probably support Thuban Phenom II X6 processors in the future. Has Advanced Clock Calibration to unlock Phenom II X2 550/555 to Deneb quad-core Phenom II X4s. Overclocking capabilities are decent. Got 3.2GHz Athlon II X4 stable on stock voltage.

Cons: - No heatsinks on MOSFETs on side of CPU socket- HD Audio header in an awkward location

Pros: - Attractive price- All around great IGP for web surfing, office work, occasional old game- Excellent feature set: HDMI, DVI, VGA, eSATA, FireWire, etc.- Has AMD's SB710/750 southbridge; great for unlocking disabled cores.- Nice color scheme- 8 pin EPS connector, all solid capacitors help reinforce good power to the board.
Comment:
A great budget/HTPC board with a great price. One of the biggest bang for buck motherboards I've seen - it offers a bit of everything. A great array of back inputs make this board especially stand out in comparison to the competition.IGP Performance is very good. 1080p Youtube videos play flawlessly on my Samsung 24" 1080p monitor.I would have liked to see as small flat aluminum heatsink on the chokes and MOSFETs to the side of the CPU, but it probably runs cool enough to not need the extra cooling.Unlocking features are present on this motherboard as it has the SB710/750 southbridge which supports Advanced Clock Calibration - All I had to change in the BIOS to unlock was ACC Enabled; Hybrid EC Firmware, and voila, I have a perfectly functional quad core CPU with a slight bit extra voltage added. Tested for 12 hours Prime95, and everything was in the green.Would recommend and purchase this board again.

Cons: Not really a gaming board with on board video (but its not really advertised as such, just an FYI)Only 1 PS2 legacy connector in the back (has to be either a PS2 keyboard or PS2 mouse but not both if you are worried about using your older equipment)Can't really say if there is a weakness to this MB

Pros: All in one motherboard, great for start up HTPC or budget systemsUses newer DDR3 ram so theoretically can move to another board later on without having to buy new ramSolid capacitors which from seeing older MBs go through mushroom capacitors is a good thing if you want to keep the board long term
Comment:
Both for a surf and word computer and it works perfectly for it. Would even work as a make shift HTPC since it does have built in HDMI outputs. As we were minimizing the cost for a new computer, we needed to use the old keyboard and mouse from the previous computer but was only able to use 1 of them as there was only 1 PS2 legacy connector in the back, be warned of this in case you didn't read it in the tech specs. Other than that, it was really to put into the case, solid capacitors are great for long term health of the board, would have been nice to have the SATA connectors in an angle instead of sitting straight up so for longer video cards it might be a problem getting to them.

This is like the ultimate HTPC board.. m-atx 4 ddr3 slots hdmi video ext sata and firewire loads of bios options...there's not another board out there that has all these features together and anywhere close to this price ...popped in an athlon x4 620 and 4gb of ddr3 and a blue ray drive and wow the video output on this seems loads better compared to my old 8600gts ...it even handles WoW 1280x720 at high settings thanks Gigabyte!

Cons: none so far

Pros: -Good Price-Quality pcb with 2oz copper.-Can easily unlock phenom 2 550 x2 cpu to x4-DDR 3 and AM3
Comment:
For under $200 you have an excellent high quality MB and the ability to turn a dual core 550 to quad core as well as decent on board video capability. At this price you just can't go wrong. Just add your ram, and if you need more power for gaming a decent video card and your good to go.

Cons: USB issue

Pros: Nice BIOS options.
Comment:
I like any mainboard that allows voltage to be lowered and not just raised. I wish all motherboard makers did that. The only issue I have is that both boards will occasionally shut down upon insertion of a USB device. It's not an electrical issue with the case or power supply cause they are in differnt cases with different supplies. This review was modfied by poster @ 01-15-10 11:08 PM

Cons: noneLarge vidcard may block 1 of the 2 pci slot but who cares. That's why it's mATX.

Pros: High QualityPlenty of options in BIOSO.C. ableGood color scheme for windowed geeks like myselfSOLID CAPSloads of connectors and outputs.

Would and probably will buy another of these. Maybe even another for a gift system. Runs nice and tight. After struggling over a cratered RAM module this thing booted up no problem at all and is solid so far. Have to love the 2oz. copper layer. Bios is pretty good with loads of options.Would/will buy again. This review was modfied by poster @ 01-14-10 12:14 AM

Cons: No Frills At This Price - Not Even A MoBo Power LEDSATA Connectors Easily Blocked In Small Case

Pros: Very Well Made Budget BoardBlue Colour Scheme Looks GreatmATX Easy To Work On
Comment:
This is my first Gigabyte board and I'm impressed. Great quality and first rate features for such an inexpensive board. On-board 4200 Radeon and HDMI are excellent. Sure, it's missing nice little touches like a mobo power led but you can't expect that at this price.Paired with an AMD Athlon II X4 620 this thing rocks for very little cash. Highly recommended.

Cons: - Graphic driver on provided CD doesn't support Win 7

Pros: - Has everything on a mATX board- 3 years warranty- Solid capacitors all over the board
Comment:
Bought this for a budget build and I was looking for a board with all connections and specs: Firewire, eSata, VGA & DVI/HDMI, solid capacitors, 3 years warranty and this one has them all on a mATX board. Connectors are well placed, it would be even better if Sata connectors were 90° bent.

I bought this along with an AMD Athlon II x4 620 processor for a new budget build I'm working on. Installed 2x2GB of Crucial DDR3 and the system works like a charm. No issues so far... overclocks nicely... would recommend to anyone in need of a mATX AM3 motherboard.

Cons: No mosfet heatsinksDriver CD that claims to support Windows 7 is not true. Only one driver available for Windows 7 on CD, and that's the realtek audio driver which could be downloaded off the Internet instead.

Pros: Dual onboard video, DVI and DSUBSmall and compactSupports 1333mhz DDR3Gigabit LANRealtek Audio chip is crystal clearInexpensive
Comment:
Bought this motherboard with high hopes for a budget AM3 DDR3 build, and couldn't be happier. I'm not an overclocker so I don't really care about the lack of mosfet heatsinks. The best part of this mobo is the high number of USB ports on the I/O panel, comprehensive BIOS settings that experts know and love, and the fact that you can have a dual monitor setup with the two onboard video outs. Yes, you heard me right. You can have two different monitor displays without the need for paying 30 dollars for a cheap video card to have dual setups. One is DVI, the other is DSUB. Maybe two DVI's would have been better, but not the end of the world.

I'm always impressed with the quality of the Gigabyte boards. This board have very nice feature to build a cheap and great performing PC. It's a good choice for someone who want to build a HTPC. I got this one with a DDR3 combo on sale and it's performing really well with a Athlon 250.

Cons: None found yet.

Pros: Mid to high-end BIOS options on a cheap board. Easy RAID1 setup, lots of integrated Radeon 4200 output ports (VGA, DVI, etc). If you overclock improperly or set bad timings or voltage, the mobo gives you several long beeps and then POSTS with previous safe settings. I only expect to see this on mid and high-end mobos but this cheap, little Gigabyte mobo has it! No need to reset CMOS.
Comment:
Installed this with a Corsair 4GB DDR3-1600 kit and Athlon II 240 CPU for a customer. He requested a RAID1 array with twin WD6401AALS HDs as well. Everything simply works perfectly and the RAID1 array worked from the 1st try. Access times are excellent at 10.1ms! Haven't tried OCing because it's a customer's machine but the BIOS offers proper frequency, timings and voltage options.
