Excellent selectionsSturdy constructionStable Older board at this point, so missing SATA 6GB/s and USB three. as nicely as DDR3, but I knew that going in. Gigabyte tends to make some severe top quality items, I have constructed numerous systems with these boards and love them. Wonderful attributes for the cost, even though they are older now. DDR2 ram is just so expensive now compared to DDR3, wish I had gotten a single with DDR3 support.

All operates fine soon after suitable installation, no issues other than SLEEP mode. When put in SLEEP, Win7 doesn't boot. Fans and lights start out for a short few seconds, then shut down again. This keeps repeating indefinitely. After energy cycled, technique boots fine. Hibernate mode also operates fine. I have a unique model P45 motherboard (year old), which does not have this concern.

Greatest motherboard that nevertheless has PS2 connectors ( much easier to get to your BIOS ) and five PCI SLOTS this is a up grade of the G41 BOARD that has on board video. It has one PATA (IDE) CONNECTOR SO YOU CAN USE YOUR OLD DRIVES. I'm employing a Pentiun Dual Core E6700 3.20 GHZ which I also bought from NEWEGG for below 贄. utilizing a Thermaltake Typhoon aiir cpu cooler. My Processor functionality rating is 6.six it has four DDR2 slots. I'm just working with 4 !GB sticks. My Memory score is 6.6 Uses a LGA 775 cpu socket.Makes use of DDR2 memories.Has only one video PCI EXPRESS two. x16 slot Operating Windows 7 PRO 64-BIT OP SYS. Employing a SAFFIRE TOXIC HD 3870 my score is a 7.1 for both graphics subscores. My lowest score is a five.9 since I'm only utilizing a regular 300 GB drive rather of a strong state drive which should bring it up to a 7.1General I'm surprised that much more persons are not purchasing this board. It runs cool with factory settings making use of only a Antec 550 Watt P/S IN A ANTEC 300 case. No challenges with set up and no extended waiting for the tech support from Gigabyte!

I must pan this so I can get a different before they sell out. If you have a 755 CPU and are hunting for a very good board at a decent value you can't go wrong. Clocking is effortless, I'm operating a Pent D 3.4 at four. on air alone, and 6G CAS five 800 Ram at 840. None yet. It just performs. I am an ASUS guy. Have been for years. When working at a personal computer corporation in Mass I need to have built 500 systems employing ASUS and Gigabyte boards, but often liked the ASUS much better. This board is a replacement for TWO ASUS boards that went bad in a short time. Given that I bought them at a "computer fair" they had been created for "Taiwan Only" and ASUS will 'warranty repair' them for 负 every. This was ๥. Put it in, added my video card and difficult drives, booted and ran and been excellent considering that. Also, with other boards I can't use my X-Fi card since the 8800GT is too huge; Plenty of slots on this board. Gigabyte is my goto board initially, ASUS second, if they get their act collectively once again.

Was a good board and worked for a few years. Relatively particular their Dual Bios just didn't cut it, since it would freeze at the commence of the boot up, and wouldn't allow me to get into BIOS to adjust settings. Purchase it if you don't program on working with the laptop for long, but other than that, save the dollars for a a lot more good quality board.

Don't know Don't know I ordered this board but they sent me the GA-P43T-ES3G as an alternative. (Did you catch the "T"? NewEgg didn't.) Roughly the identical value, so rather than wait for RMA I ordered some DDR3 instead of the DDR2 I already had.

supports my Q9505 & 6GB of DDR2 RAM. Win 7 Pro 64 bit runs good, good overclocking (as usual with Gigabyte boards) No RAID!!!! Would be a five egg rating if it had RAID. There's just a lot of a choice in socket 775 boards that also help DDR2 RAM anymore. I was pleased to come across this 1 considering that my EVGA 750i SLI board started frying USB devices left and correct. If I choose to run SLI again, I'll will need to bite the bullet and get a core i5/i7 system, but for the time getting, it's running everything I will need it to just fine.

four memory slots, takes just about any 775 processor, six SATA ports, big kind issue, cheap for what you're getting Significant form issue, just sufficient sound I had all the components I required to make a very good method, but my 2nd ASUS went kablooey. I got this as a replacement. The only factor the ASUS had I want this had was two IDE connectors, for four devices. I have a LOT of IDE drives and DVDs, and wasn't in a position to accomodate the configuration I would have liked. It's also Tremendous, which I wanted for the reason that my Massive video card blocks two PCI slots. Now I can use my X-Fi no difficulty! I have a pent D rated three.4G operating at the top speed of 4GHz, NO Dilemma, and my 800MHz memory clocked to 900. No worries!

None These Motherboards have been the worse expertise I have ever had with Motherboards since the early 80's. It will not total an install of Windows XP Pro regardless of how I set the BIOS, or set up the drives, etc. I have tried several, a lot of unique configurations to get it to full and install of Windows operating method. Soon after formating the HDD and then Windows copies the files to the HDD, then Windows install reboots to finish the install - The Motherboard will not go any farther, it just want to start out the Windows Operating system all over once again. I have by no means skilled this before, and hope to never ever once again. I even attempted to update the BIOS from my Flash disk and it wouldn't even do that. It saw the Flash drive, but not the BIOS file that was downloaded from Gigabyte. I have spent numerous, a lot of hours on this point to get it to operate and it has been for not. I will in no way purchase one more Gigabyte Motherboard once more. I have been working in computer system & Networking considering that 1965 (Career) and I have never had a horible practical experience like this, and I need to have under no circumstances had to experienc this. Exactly where is the pride in workmanship. Manufacturer Response:Thank you for your comments. Honest and constructive opinions are often welcome. A lot of expansion - even functions with SCSI in contrast to most present day boards. Full speed video slot, superior for the moderate gamer (those of us that don't want ten video cards and whatnot). I've owned five of these boards. The moment had 1 that was a dud, but each business has individuals. I didn't dock for that, simply because if it operates, it's one particular of the greatest boards you can get, I think. But I do look at not getting RAID with so quite a few SATA ports to be a con, so I knocked off one particular egg. I'm working with a single of these as a server, three as workstations, and I maintain one particular as a spare.

Plenty of SATA ports, supports several distinct CPU's Drivers for AHCI are no-very good I constructed my new Computer about this motherboard and Intel's E7500 Core 2 Duo CPU. While the board is operating effectively, I ran into various technical concerns such as: AHCI drivers lead to BSOD in the course of WinXP set up, that's simply because they are produced for RAID and this board does not help that.Gigabyte also brags about their on/off speedy charge for iPods, that also doesn't function! I sent a Tech assistance request almost two weeks ago, and they never ever responded. Not only is that rude, but shows poor Client service and Tech help.

I wanted to go Hackintosh, so I bought this board due to the fact it is Mac OS X friendly, and I could reuse the Intel Core2 Duo CPU and DDR2 memory I already had. For the cost of Windows 7, I got this and a Snow Leopard upgrade dvd, and it installed effortlessly and functions good. Recognizes all my tricky drives, IDE and SATA. Quad booting Windows XP, Ubuntu 10.ten, Ubuntu 10.04 and Snow Leopard. Only issue is as soon as in great though the NIC acts up. Pushing in the ethernet cable constantly fixes it.Wonderful board, but if I had to do it more than once more, I would get the T model and obtain some DDR3 RAM.

Supports 4 sticks of DDR2 x240 which is becoming harder and tougher to come across. Works with most processor's (make confident you bios update to the version you want). Bios supply lots of Overclockin choices. Dual Bios. Lack of Chasis Fan Hookups, Have two side fans and 1 front fan and had to convert them to molex to power them up). No raid controller. Took some tweaking with bios to get it to detect Sata Drives, even so eventualy it did. Dual Channel ram works in 1,two & three,4 not colored that way 1 & 3 are yellow 2 & four are blue so its not intuative have to RT.F.M. Bios screen has lots of unique settings (not for unexperienced users). If you use boot disk utilities and have a usb keyboard you have to enable that feature in the bios. ought to automaticly allow it.

Lots of USB ports. Seems to run cool. It also has a lot of features of older motherboards that might come in handy for some men and women, like floppy disc connection, IDE connection, parallel printer port, mouse and keyboard jacks on rear panel for older style devices.Newegg delivered swiftly and undamaged. Had to update BIOS suitable out of the box. Be careful, the most current BIOS from Gigabyte may well not be what you want. I had to drop back to F12 to get one that worked for me. Luckily, Gigabyte's computer software makes the BIOS update pretty effortless. I would have bought a diverse motherboard from Gigabyte than this one. I have many others that I like much better for about the very same income. As usual Newegg is unbeaten in delivery and pricing.

I fried my ASUS P5B Deluxe WiFi board last week (my dumb mistake!). I needed a new board that had socket 775 to use my E6700 Core2 Duo and that would assistance DDR2 memory. This board delivered and so did Newegg considering that I ordered it with express shipping and got it proper away. The layout was much less cluttered with only a couple of hassles (like a energy plug right subsequent to the CPU for which I needed to move the power provide to be able to plug it in). Functions good (I'm typing this critique with my laptop or computer outfitted with the new MB) and I need to be content with it for a lot of years.Again, Enjoy the service provided by NewEgg The board is extremely good, but a control or two may possibly have been moved a small bit as it was challenging to plug in the ATX power cable. But no genuine difficulties of any magnitude.

Fantastic compatibility, expandability, and uncomplicated BIOS setup. Generally loved these boards...until...Anyway, they're awesome boards although they are working... Bought four over the past 2 years. Two were duds - not DOA, but died, warrantied, died once again, warrantied once more....This distinct series has been extremely unreliable as far as lifetime. Out of 4 of these motherboards, only one particular remains alive and usable. Bought a P35-S3G about a year prior to obtaining these, and that 1 is the only reputable 1 I trust. Each and every time I begin up my last remaining board of this certain series, I'm holding my breath expecting it to die like the other people. Gigabyte apparently does not replace boards, they repair them, since the two I warrantied have only been repaired and sent back to me. Sorry, but repairing a dud board only forestalls the inevitable: death of yet another part. A dud desires to be replaced, not repaired. I do NOT advise this series of boards.

I had an Asus Striker 2 formula board and it fried on me. I replaced it with this board, it had all the requirements to take all my current parts and swap the boards out, four DDR2 slots, LGA775, and 1 PCI-E x16 for vid card. It is tough to find a replacement board now days but this one fit the bill. I didnt acquire it at newegg.
