Affordable and seems function as it should No raid, but I knew that. It appears a bit finicky about memory. I believed I had a DOA board. It was undertaking the on-off cycling factor. But it just didn't like the Essential memory I was making use of. I replaced the Important with a couple of G. Skill sticks and the board powered correct up. It's intriguing that the Important memory finder did suggest the memory that wouldn't perform. I spoke to Gigabyte tech help and was told that these boards do seem to have a difficulty with Critical memory

The board is a rapidly running board and it is effortless to work on. If you have a DVD IDE drive, you will not be in a position to set up windows 7. It comes up with an error stating "No device drivers have been located. Make sure that the installation media contains the appropriate drivers, and then click ok". Also a windows 7 ISO USB will not work, the bios freezes when you try to boot from it. The only way I was in a position to install windows 7 was to install it by way of a USBDVD drive. After it installed windows, it then recognized the IDE controller that the dvd drive was connected to.

Most energy efficient item I've ever bought. Primarily simply because it doesn't function. This is the second GA-P43T-ES3G I've gotten and it has very same problem as initial. It will not post. Thinking 16x PCIe slots are dead mainly because video card fan doesn't spin (EVGA 8800 GTX functions fine in another box). Initially RMA'd board replacement due in on Monday, if it's dead as well I'll try to discover LGA 775 DDR3 board elsewhere as Newegg fails to present any other people except for MSI and I'll not even try that trash. Not delighted. Not one bit. I've had comprehensive(other than dead motherboard) machine going on 2 weeks and I'm just sitting here twiddling my thumbs. Functions good after you figure it out. Would not clean set up XP pro SP3 OR Windows 7 pro working with AHCI mode for SATA ports... lock up each and every time. IDE mode functions fine. Yes, I utilized f6 and the SATA drivers integrated. 2nd dilemma was once installed, XP did not set up my q8200 as an "ACPI Multiprocessor" but an "APM Multiprocessor". Flashing to older F6 BIOS fixed this. 3rd dilemma- chipset heatsink interferes with Zalman CNPS5X-SZ clips, had to go with a XIGMATEK LOKI SD963. I have six other Gigabyte 775 ICH10 boards, zero troubles with these. This was a major discomfort to figure out. I ran hardware tests all evening right after initial set-up, no errors found, but a clean XP AND Win7 install locks each and every time with AHCI troubles? How often does that come about? And ACPI vs APM on a fresh set up??? I knew it had to be a BIOS challenge. On a mature platform like this, that is bizarre.

And Gigabyte is know for stability for OCers.Gonna set it up tonight. *None so far. Just hoping its not a DOA. But I did acquire the Extended warranty. The excellent 775/DDR3 combo board are dying. =( Would have been nice to had 1 much more PCI-E 1x for far more three. USB card slots. ;)

Was a incredibly very good board for my desires. Didnt very want to leave the 775 socket but nevertheless wanted to use DDR3 because of how inexpensive it is. Served me very nicely more than my previous board and it OCed my old E6600 quite nicely. None at the moment :). None as of suitable now. Just be cautious if you program on making use of a huge CPU cooler with tall RAM. My CPU cooler pushes my initial stick of RAM in the initial socket by just a hair. But this is mainly just because of the monstrous size of the cooler.

Motherboard was purchased to give my smaller household server with a substantial memory enhance to 16 GB (G.Ability Ripjaws) even though keeping all of my other elements in use (Q6600).Right after swapping this motherboard in and adding my new 16 GB set of DDR3, I quickly jumped into BIOS expecting to tweak many settings as I frequently do with new builds. Significantly to my suprise, this motherboard had detected and defaulted to all optimal timings, voltages, and clock speeds. I actually changed no BIOS settings. Very cool.Server is now hosting 8 Virtual Machines on prime of a Q6600, 16 GB G.Talent Ripjaws, 6 TB of harddrives. VMs consist of several Ubuntu ten.ten Server, two Windows 2008 Server, and FreeBSD.๠ motherboard performing dutifully the function of a a lot much more pricey and purpose constructed server board and it came with the functions that had been expected and as such deserves five eggs. Thanks Gigabyte! None I was wary getting this motherboard just because of the testimonials on newegg. Then I started reading the reviews and realized that persons have no sense on how to rate a tech product. Folks with high "Tech Level" rating a solution bring about DOA, come on! A person with higher "Tech Level" should understand well sufficient the complexity of such a item and the truth that DOA's are just apart of it and in no way must influence the solution's rating. Ridiculous.

Great setup. Everything is effortless to get also. Only bummer is that the SATA plugs are at the bottom of the motherboard, tends to make it hard to put a DVD/Bluray in at the really leading of the case. Drivers on the DVD have been undesirable. Kept saying a thing about corrupt files. So I just downloaded almost everything on the world wide web. Also, for those who are new builders, Buy AN AFTERMARKET FAN. =)Good beginner board as well :)

I've put together a handful of systems myself now, and this is a solid older board. Spaced out fairly properly, handles a ton of extra USB ports if your situation has them. Bios and boot technique functions well, even if you mess up, it will nevertheless normally post and let you fix it. Stuck an E8500 and 4gigs of corsair ddr3 and it has handled all the anxiety I have put on it. Win7 64 Straightforward tune software didn't function for me. Each time I tried to run it, my laptop or computer would freeze. All the other drivers worked fine.

five-year mfg. warrantyNewegg's discounted cost, with Free of charge shipping to bootA BIOS made for significant tweaker's: For those like myself, utterly frustrated by mobos claiming to be "great" for overclocking and tweaking, but disallowing full manage over numerous critical voltages, timings, and settings, you will not be disappointed with THIS motherboard's BIOS. Practically each voltage, timing, and setting which could potentially impact technique performance can be manually adjusted. And even even though this board does not formally help (i.e. auto configure) XMP memory profiles, it gives a wonderful "Memory-z" feature, which displays exactly what's in memory's SPD (all the JEDEC, EPP, and XMP voltages & timings). Given that, you can manually set the correct timings and voltage for XMP assistance. Even though not documented in Newegg's specs, this board DOES INDEED have an on-board parallel port header ("cool beans" for my significantly-beloved HP parallel printer). But regrettably, it's a non-common (mini-size) header, requiring a proprietary connector and ribbon assembly which is no longer accessible from MSI (#!%&!). My resolution to this was to cannibalize a couple of single-row, 13-pin, mini connectors from an old Television set and wire them to the ribbon of a common parallel port IO plate assembly. Purchased it due to the fact it had each serial and parallel ports. Gathered all the old parts and software and assembled a Computer for reading old media. Windows 7 loaded promptly with no difficulties. Computer is genuinely quickly with just a E2200 and 4GB ripjaw. Windows 7 wouldn't detect the 100MB parallel port iomega drive so uninstalled Win7 and installed Windows XP. Windows XP wouldn't install with a USB keyboard but installed proper away with a PSǘ keyboard. Mine works with the Rosewill PSǘ laser mouse.

Bought for my ESXi server mainly because I waned to get to 16GB of RAM with out possessing to get a new CPU. Smacked an older Xeon 3220 quad core in with four x4GB sticks of RipJaws RAM (also bought from newegg) and then added in my NICs and storage. Present specs are 6 2TB drives, 4 1TB drives on a PCI SATA card, 16GB of RAM, quad core 3220, quad port PCIE nic in the 16x slot, single port PCIE nic in the 1x slot and booting ESXi off a thumbdrive. Board works very well for my wants. Wish it had a lot more sata ports so I could ditch the PCI card, but not a large deal at all. onboard video would be great for my demands and if I can dream, I'd like three PCIE 4x slots. Functions wonderful in ESXi and ubuntu 10.ten. Stays awesome and didn't need to have a driver update to get all 16GB of ram running.

High quality appear and feel. BIOS was quite intuitive. Pretty significantly plug and play for me. I produced a number of upgrades such as adding on a 2nd tough drive and adding a new video card immediately after my initial setup and there had been no troubles. I in fact booted up with Ubuntu initially, then I switched to XP and immediately after cleaning that up I did a fresh install of Windows 7 and the board handled all the alterations seamlessly. I almost didn't purchase this board because of some of the negative critiques but I'm glad I listened to myself and gave it a attempt. I'll update the moment I've had the board for more than a year but honestly I have no regrets and would strongly recommend this board to even newer builders if you are methodical in general. For the cost I paid and the efficiency I'm getting this board is challenging to beat! None yet I know you don't get boards for aesthetics but I discover the blue color schemes to be quiet pleasing and the fit and finish seems very strong. I am the sort of guy that will appear at boards at retailers and you can see that this one particular is nicely place with each other in comparison. Look at what I'm saying within the scope of what you are paying. Comparatively speaking it's tough to beat.

This board is incredibly effortless to install and set up. Considering that I am employing an old Pentium three.2 ghz single core 鹜), I was worried there would be concerns with DDR3 RAM. I had no difficulties installing anything, and have it boot the very first time. This board replaced an old Asus P5GD1 that died ( seems mine and my clients machines don't final far more than 3 years) and I have had better luck with Gigabyte boards. Also many PCI slots. Seriously could use at least 1 additional PCI-E slot. Only has 1 now. Bought on sale, with free of charge shipping and no tax. How can you beat it?
