I haven't accomplished any benchmarks with the sata rev. three I don't know if it is a challenge with the heatsink(stock from intel) or the motherboard, but it won't connect on all four pins, I can only get 3 down. The board has lots of ports and is future proof with USB three., SATA 3 and a few PCI x16 slots. Adore the double-gigabit ports as well. I have been using it with 24 GB of GSKILL ram and a Radeon HD 5850 and it has been wonderful for virtualization. The board abruptly stopped functioning nowadays. Pondering I could finally see the complete potential of my C300s, I figured this board would be perfect. Sadness ensues :(
