Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 Processor BX80571E7500If I was a gamer, I'd go to the Core i7, but I'm not. I do a lot of AV stub from camcorder, digital photography, CD and DVD productions, web site development along with the general Office and Internet programs. This processor is more than adequate. It is fast, has a quite fan and meets my needs. The only thing about it is the installation instructions that come with it. They are pictorial only. However I installed them in ASUS boards that come with excellent detailed instructions. |

Gigabyte G41M-ES2L MotherboardThe motherboard works great the only problems that pop up was you will need to make sure that you have DVD drive to install the drivers software and for some reason the installation disc does not include graphics drivers. I had to download it from they're Taiwan web site. |

Gigabyte G41M-ES2L Motherboardthis board is a good deal for the buck no problems with dead board (HINT!) if you received this board and processor, And it seems to be dead out of the box, Make sure the DDR2 that you use is 800Mhz DDR2 DUEL Channel at least 1GB stick and no more dead board problems. if processor is 800 Mhz front end bus, Then use 800 Mhz DDR2. |

Gigabyte G41M-ES2L MotherboardPros - Price, and that it works, sort of. Also, Tiger's delivery was fine. Cons - 1. Strangely it refuses to boot when connected to my nice keyboard that I usually use, but works with a cheap crummy one. 2. Layout is poor, with the floppy connector as far as possible from my floppy, meaning I had to find a longer cable. Connector for system fan is also poorly placed, and wires go through slot area. 3. Both motherboards I bought have the same video issues with some programs, even after installing the latest drivers. I guess I need a cheap video card now to replace the on board video, even though I don't need more speed. 4. I have three older drives devices and can only connect two, so now I need to buy a new power supply and then upgrade the disk drive. |

Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 Processor BX80571E7500Wasn't sure if I wanted a Quad core or this Dual core, but the price difference kinda made that decision for me. I assumed that my outdated Socket 775 motherboard could handle it. Found out that most older motherboards, more than 6 months, do not support Core 2 Duos' or even Quad cores' due to the front bus speed and the chip-set. Coupled this thing with Bios' G31 Socket 775 motherboard! Amazing speed and the response time has drastically improved. My wife is much happier cause now her internet games and programs load in seconds instead of minutes. I'm pleased because aside of the negative reviews, I went ahead and gave it try. Turns out that my gut was right, mainly cause I have never gotten any defective nor DOA products ever from this site, and I've been shopping here for more than 10 years! Anyways, fantastic work and keep up the amazing service! You've got a loyal customer right over here! |
