It does function... often. Rarely ever operates appropriately, Win7 assistance and usability is spotty at ideal. Drivers are horrible for Win7, especially x64. When it DOES perform, it functions about only half-way, and loses connection a lot, even within just a foot or two of range. If you're working with this with WinXP, it need to be ok, Vista is nearly as spotty as Win7, but Win7 doesn't like these much at all, 64-bit being the worst of the two versions for it. Simple to set up and lots of features... some I didn't even know existed. None Had to get a couple additional.... this is a truly very good adapter!

Operates wonderful with Mac OSX, and the Magic Trackpad. As other reviewers had stated. This was the fourth USB Bluetooth adapter I had tried, this was the only one that functions correctly with the Magic Trackpad. That issue seems to truly gobble down the bandwidth, and a lesser adapter just can't cut it. No cons at all.

easy, modest, and could operate for non-audio stuff well. I employed it on a windows 7 desktop machine, for transmitting bluetooth audio for my bluetooth headphones. The audio is horrible. The headphones perform fine with a distinct bluetooth dongle that i connect to my Tv. I am guessing its the bluetooth driver that ships with this item...the audio is negative. my only cause to purchase this was to use it for audio, and it does horribly.

Immediately after installing, it works fine. Extremely tiny and trustworthy. A quite painful set up in windows 7. I somehow managed to install it in one win7 machine (it didn't work from commence). I've spent three hours trying to set up it on a second win7 machine (both Ultimate x64). I even disabled automatic driver installations and other automatic detections in win. None have worked (I never ever get the Iogear configuration wizard - see the manual just before getting). I'll be back with a new critique and procedure if able to install. If not, I'll drop yet another 2-three eggs! Almost everything!!! Worked out of the Box with ubuntu ten.ten software installation and reboot. Guess thats not out the box ,but you know what I mean with Linux. None so far, Purchased for the duration of a Shell Shocker occasion just like my wireless N usb adapter. These Shell Shockers are serving my every laptop or computer want. I may well never have to buy retail electronics again.

Smaller size, small price, quite straightforward to set up in Windows 7. I'm having range concerns, but I'm not sure if it's my keyboard or the transceiver. It may achieve 10 meters with clear line of sight, but plugged into the back of my HTPC inside my coffee table four feet in front of me with my feet up on the table my wireless apple keyboard BUGS OUT from signal degradation. Placing the adapter in a front usb socket assists a bit with proximity, but getting to transmit by means of wood It's still not great adequate to be able to lounge and play Portal without frequent problems. Also there's a blinking blue light inside the factor. WHY IS THIS Important. Lastly the USB plug itself is either deformed or was created out of tolerance. It barely fits in any of my USB sockets and since of it's size is incredibly challenging to pull back out with out working with pliers. PLIERS. Plugged it in and it was recognized with no any additional drivers or other installations- works with a Magic Trackpad, earpiece, rudimentary networking and a mouse. The footprint is tiny adequate that it's as excellent as the built-in bluetooth for my purposes. Cost was a lot more than fair for adding BT functionality so effortlessly. None, other than occupying a USB slot permanently.

Comment:
The pro is that it really works, so that's amazing. This dongle has very good range, despite the fact that my room isn't too big, I did manage to confirm snappy response at a distance of 20 feet playing a racing game on my keyboard None whatsoever, unless you count that this thing is teeensy tiny! It's tricky finding it out once it's in the back of your PC, but it's not impossible.
