Ill start with the good things first.I will be comparing it with my sisters Asus G46VW Intell I5 + GTX 660M And DV6 6110The screen of it seems good in terms of Clarity and Colors I am no expert in recognizing Good panels but side by side with my 2 notebooks Hp Dv6 and Asus G46I like the Msi's screen out of the 2.Now the speakers of the MSI's are one of good ones that I have heard on notebooks they are loud and doesn't distort at full volume and are clearer. But lack a little on Bass,Also they are way better then Asus G46VW and surpases just a little bit from DV6.Battery timing is good for a 15.6 inch laptop and components inside it I am getting atleast 3.2 hours while browsing and watching movies at 40% brightness and Keyboard Backlit off.And its light also considering its 15.6 inch laptop the Asus G46Vw which is 14 inch both seems almost the same interms of weight and Dv6 felt a little bit heavier. Also it comes with a Backlit Keyboard which is a real plus for me. Its Touchpad seems smoother in usage then the Asus but I don't like the design of the buttons on the MSI I like the old Separate Left and Right click buttons much better.Now lets start with my major Con with this Notebook. Temps.The Tempratures reaches 95 on Processor and 90 on GPU while playing Battlefield 3 for 30 mins but it doesn't goes above these values I have checked it with Prime95 + Furmurk running Simultaneously for 30 mins. Which I think are very High, only 5 degress from TJ max on CPU and this just makes its Fan go nutsIts on the loud side not that much but still, However while Watching Movies or Browsing its quite though.But after some research I found out that by disabling CPU turbo (Setting Maximum Processor State to 99% from advance power settings) the temps will godown and it did the temps now are in acceptable range 85 on Cpu and 80 on Gpu after 30 mins of Bf3.And my second problem was it would freeze up randomly and whenever I restart it afterward it would start configuring windows features which would take 25 to 30 mins to complete.I fixed it by reinstalling fresh windows 8 from scratch.And The windows restore didn't fixed this issueSee this link on how to do it.https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=167061.0See post no 46.Also I Video chat a lot with my friends and family and its Webcam is really bad the image captured from it is somewhat pixelated sure what can I expect from a 0.9 Megapixel Camera atleast it should be 2 Megapixels for 720p and my sisters Asus G46VW is way better in this regard. Also its Glossy Lid is prone to scratches and is a Finger print magnet And Msi didn't shipped with a protective sticker ontop of it, Which I need to buy it separately.Overall I like this notebook very much other then that temperature issue, What I would suggest to someone looking at this notebook is to go with the Intel I5 4200 + Gtx 760M variant of this laptop. The temps of that one must be much better then this one, The I7 4700MQ and the GTX765 is just too much for this laptop to handle.
