Works on Linux Mint and Unbuntu Jaunty. Functions from a great distance with flawless responseLight and sleek. Slips correct beneath the couchLaser mouse performs on glass surface and carpet (Albeit not completely for the carpet). Media keys don't function straight out of the box. Which is additional a computer software than hardware concern. I want the mouse had a forward and backward button. Mouse wheel feels a bit stiff on the upward swipe. (Which I am confident will function out)Price tag is as well higher when it isn't on sale. Purchased it to replace an old logitech keyboard with no variety at all. Simply because I only run Linux anymore I don't have a real will need for all these bells and whistles on a logitech setup. Also, the essential dongle took a second or two to recognize, but this wasn't an concern actually.

I can use this keyboard/mouse combo from 16 to 18 feet away with no challenges at all, as opposed to the Logitech combo I had before. I want the media buttons had been programmable. I usually purchase my stuff from Newegg, but B&H Photo was promoting the exact same item for only 43 bucks and totally free shipping.

The range is excellent, have no issue with sitting on couch and operating computer system hook to 46" LCD Television. If you don't consistently use mouse -(example - watching movie on compute) the mouse has to be reset or turned off then back on for it to respond.

It's a inexpensive laptop-style keyboard, and it functions fantastic. The wireless is lengthy variety (last evening I was typing from across the room with out dropping any letters) and the mouse has but to drop any motions in TF2. I'm happy with it. The MCE / My Television / My Music / My Videos / My Images / all of the pause play buttons don't operate appropriate out of the box. You have to place them in your self on XP, which is tougher than it sounds. I was seriously hoping that this combo wouldn't be the kind that you have to replace batteries with every single couple weeks, and it isn't. I'm rather heavy on use, and have been working with it for ~three weeks, it's however to even show me battery low. Also, the \| keys are in a actually weird position. Not necessarily a undesirable thing, but just takes some getting used to.It's challenging to really feel which keys you're on if you're a touch-typer. The grooves on the J and F aren't higher enough to genuinely be felt, specifically if you're a musician and have callouses on your finger recommendations.

Operates great from across a large room, no line of sight is required. Haven't had any connectivity or lag troubles. The mouse takes various seconds to come back to life as soon as it sleeps, which can be a tiny annoying when you want to pause a movie and such. There's a tiny switch on the bottom of the mouse the sticks out a hair too considerably and can drag on a couch -- but just trim it off with a razor blade or something. The keyboard layout isn't the typical layout that I'm applied to (ins, del, household, and so forth.). I leave my laptop hooked to my Television all the time now, it's really cool to compute from the couch on the massive screen.

great variety. mouse and keyboard both feel great to use. no complaints. syncing the mouse and keyboard isn't automatic, but it is simple and calls for no much more than a button push on the USB receiver and then a different underneath the keyboard.

Very lengthy variety, keyboard is very slim and looks excellent. The mouse cuts out for handful of seconds every once in awhile, but not enough for it to be a issue. It may well be that I have the usb stick in the back of the pc and am working with from 15 feet.

Keyboard is slim, light, and operates like a charm for the eight months I have owned it. Nevertheless haven't had to replace the batteries once. The mouse is a full joke. Immediately after two months the optical sensore gave out. I RMA'd the mouse and received a new one a couple of weeks later. lately the mous wheel broke creating the mouse useless. Alternatively of RMAing the mouse for a second time in an eight month time frame I just stomped on it and bought a Rosewill as an alternative. Also, mouse eats up batteries like absolutely nothing I have observed ahead of. Remain away from this garbage. For the value you can get a thing that won't go dead on you multiple occasions inside a year. Manufacturer Response:Sorry about the concern you had with this product. This keyboard and mouse combo has the energy save mode to extend the battery life. You may well also turn off the mouse from the switch on the back to further extend the battery life. The mouse has a laser engine, not an optical one. You may have received a defective set. The item comes with 3 year warranty. Please really feel totally free to make contact with IOGEAR buyer support and we'll be a lot more than happy to support you out. Please call IOGEAR at 1 龢) 946-4327, email us at assistance@iogear.com, or do reside chat with IOGEAR assistance.Thank you.

It works devoid of error or lag from the couch -- About 15 feet away flawless. Attempted it just to see 20 feet from receiver and nevertheless no difficulties. Battery life appears to be great so far. This issue performs like it had wires. Attempted 1 of the reduced price models (MSFT) was really flaky and generally lagged and who genuinely demands a wireless keyboard with a 3 to six foot range. -- If you want one particular that functions this is it. The mouse does go to sleep. Not certain it's really a poor thing given that it assists extend battery life. Took a small finding used to the thought if clicking to wake it up. Moving has no impact ought to press button to wake it up, but when you get applied ot it -- actually not a massive challenge. Doesn't have multimedia functions other than volume controls, but I don't miss them. If you use these on a wired keyboard (I don't) then this one particular may possibly not be for you. Some critiques pointed out getting to resync the mouse, and so forth. I was performing that then I discovered just presing the left button would wake it up and no resync was necessary. I leave this thing on all the time and it's ready to go (as lengthy as my computer didn't hibernate or anything)

Nice compact style, with a solid really feel (not flimsy and noisy). Wireless variety is quite great. Correct out of the box, the mouse would not connect to the receiver. I assumed this factor was dead on arrival and I even submitted RMA request. Then, by accident I pushed the wheel rather than turning it, and the mouse instantly connected. I don't know if this is by design or not, but pushing the wheel button connects the mouse every single time it disconnects.

Mouse has an on/off switch to save energy for prolonged inactivity. The keyboard is extremely slim with a good heft and really feel, keys are nice to function with. USB antenna works fine and is Quite tiny and out of the way. none I was quite surprised by the weight and feel of the keyboard, it feels strong and effectively created. I like the texture of the rubberized mouse buttons and shape. I have gone by means of three other wireless keyboards and this is the greatest so far - I am very content with it.

Keyboard has great really feel, fantastic variety (at least 20 feet), Mouse feels very good No status lights on keyboard - have to turn it off even though in use to be in a position to be positive it is off. Mouse is large to haul about with laptop - OK otherwise. Dongle is quite modest and does not have a way to attach lanyard. Cons are a bit nit selecting, but actual.

Excellent range! With the transmitter in a wooden desk each keyboard and mouse operate flawlessly 18+ ft away. Reasonable value. Effortless set up. Minor issues... the on/off switch(mouse) and reset buttons could be a tiny simpler to access. They're each modest and recessed. A power light on the keyboard (it would take away from battery life but I'd use the on/off function additional with it). Mouse is a tiny jumpy at times. I hooked my Television to the pc and this gear operates good allowing me to control the programs from the comfort of my couch. Optimistic clicks and excellent ergonomics on the mouse. The keyboard can be a bit noisey when typing if you're the least bit heavy handed Probably due to the thin design and style. I don't see it as a issue although. The reason for 4 as an alternative of 5 eggs is that I haven't run this long enough to gauge the make high quality or battery life. Taking into consideration I'm on the personal computer eight to ten hours a day I'm sure that will be evident soon.

Keys are soft and easy to push. The mouse is responsive and comfortable. All in all I like them. The layout is a little different than a typical keyboard. The pipe and \ are not above the enter essential. This often messes me up for the duration of my programming. This is not enough to knock it down to four eggs although. The media buttons are non programmable.

Here's the story:Spilled beer on it. Washed it below cold water in the sink to get the beer off. Placed it in the oven exactly where it melted (I was drunk) and it nonetheless works. Remarkable item.

Each keyboard and mouse are very responsive from about 15 feet away. Acceptable aesthetics. Substantial, although not unwieldy keyboard style. Mouse could be a bit far more ergonomic, but is much more than satisfactory for HTPC usage. Complaint: this unique model's keyboard is powered off working with the important combination Shift+ESC, which will close some windows (in Vista, anyway) in spite of the truth that the shift essential is getting held. Would have preferred a "safer" crucial combination or a switch. It's a minor annoyance, even though. Variety and responsiveness were my highest priorities, and this keyboard lives up to its guarantee. I would not bother with additional high-priced Microsoft or Logitech combination.

Keyboard is a great slim size. Keys are very nice. Single doggle for each adds simplicity. I didn't retain this set long adequate to get any good practical experience with it. The purpose i returned it was the mouse. The mouse felt like legos in my hand. Palm hangs off and drags on the mouse pad. I am fiveཆ male so my hands are not huge at all. I previously applied the logitech series gaming mx518 so my standards are a small higher than others. But I feel the mouse is horrid.

Simple install. So far product works as advertised and as reviewed by other Newegger's. One really cool function that I have not observed just before is a handy little tray to store your ink pen in on the proper hand side of the keyboard. 33ft. distance for operating keyboard/mouse? No issue!!! Even from an angle - out of line of sight with receiver. None so far. Would extremely recommend this to anybody needing a dependable wireless keyboard/mouse.

I've looked at a lot of wireless keyboards/mice and most of them have a restricted three-6 ft distance. The adverticed range for this product is 33 ft and I'm employing it from my couch 16 ft away from the Pc and it performs wonderful. The bios quickly recognized the keyboard/mouse and I could use them out of the box without any added setup. The laser mouse tracks on almost any surface except for the clear glass on my coffee table. There isn't a light for the caps or num lock keys. I'm essentially glad they're not wasting power on these LEDs, but other people may possibly not. I wish newegg would present search criteria for wireless distance or at least have wireless range listed in the item facts.

Performs at a wonderful distance, slim, lightweight, has two pegs for raising. Looks amazing on my glass desk. Rechargeable batteries for the mouse is handy. The media buttons on the top are useful and extremely sleek searching. The mouse is quite responsive. Greatest wireless keyboard/mouse out there, far better than Logitech or Microsoft. takes awhile to get the wireless keyboard to connect with the receiver on the initially try. Just hold down each 'connect' buttons down seriously close to each other for like 30 secs. greatest seeking keyboard in my opinion

Unbelievable range, feels like good top quality, environmentally friendly business I'm not utilised to the placement of the backslash essential on this keyboard. It claims to work for 33 feet, but I set my laptop on a table and walked downstairs and to the total opposite side of the residence, and the keyboard nevertheless worked from there! I like that the keyboard feels sturdy - it's not lightweight and low-cost feeling. I also seriously like the crucial response. Look at the photos to make certain you are content with the essential placement, though, simply because although it doesn't bother me a lot, I'm not accustomed to the placement of the backslash crucial on this keyboard. The mouse looked strange to me in the photographs, but it functions excellent.

Simple to set up, extremely fantastic response occasions, keyboard set up allows for extremely quick typing as opposed to other keyboards. The mouse has a nice really feel with extremely unique texture on it. Important placement for the forward slash essential threw me off, and there are two on the keyboard to boot; one straight left of the space bar and a single directly proper of the proper shift essential. Took some time to get utilised to as my old keyboard's alt key was larger. The numbers seem a bit smaller sized as properly. The mouse's sensitivity will most likely have to be altered in mouse speed of your OS and it is a bit clunky.
