Computer boots up and you can surf the web with out any stability issues After I played or viewed any media requiring far more graphics power my program became extremely unstable...-comprehensive lockups requiring forced shutdowns (holding the power button down)-BSOD's-Nvidia driver recovery errors / warnings (the ones exactly where the screen goes black and then returns with the error) I know for a fact this card is the culprit mainly because I went out and bought a different GT240 card from a unique manufacturer and it performs flawlessly.-Kinda sucks the 1st assessment has to be such a poor one...hopefully other people will have superior luck if they make a decision to take the risk.My specs:MSI P55-GD65Core I7 860WD Caviar Black 1tb4gb G.Ability PC3 10666LG Blu-ray disc/comboWin 7 Home PremiumOCZ 700 W Modxstreamand was making use of a GT240 from XFX...now I'm using Galaxy Manufacturer Response:We are sorry to hear that you are obtaining a issue. Affordable cost, lifetime warranty No matter what driver I use, the display driver crashes randomly in win 7 64. This is a clean set up of windows on new hardware. I swap the card out, and the system runs rock strong. Card and heat sink look seriously "cheesy" odd tall heatsink. Manufacturer Response:Hello REVOLV3R, Have you began a ticket at www.xfxfroce.com or known as them at 800-880-3225 so we can aid with your scenario?

None! This card is horrible! Attempted several drivers and versions of Windows (XP, Vista and 7) with no avail. Tried alternate PCI-E slot and similar issue. Comp froze no matter what I did and come to find out it's this video card. I have my old 8500GS in and not one particular dilemma. I've researched for the past handful of days and there is no fixing the problem so far. Not confident if it's a defect or a driver problem till Nvidia can figure this out. DON'T Acquire THIS CARD!!! At least my 1st refund expertise has gone properly with newegg so it's not all that bad......time to search for a new card once again

There isn't a power connector requirement so low power consuption. It has 96 cuda cores for beneath 贄. Works as advertised. None that I can see. I am employing this in conjunction with my two 5770s for a stand alone physx card. I can honestly say I didn't feel it would perform. On the other hand after configuring the drivers among the hybrid setup I can say that the physx(which I thought weren't worth it at 1st but I wanted to play about with them) has intrigued me with some of the cool stuff they can do. So far I only have Darkvoid that utilizes it and the demos I have but now that it functions I will be getting other titles with physx enabled that I wouldn't have typically purchased.

Physx Assistance. Low power consumption. Low heat output. Doesn't need any added energy plugs. HDMI connector. Plays High-Definition video excellent. Excellent spending budget Nvidia gaming card (or Physx add-on). Runs most games nicely, on a Dell 19" 1440x900 screen. Runs numerous slightly older games on High. Large cooler demands two slots for decent airflow.Connectors are not colour coded. (VGA/HDMI/DVI).Connectors are yellow. (VGA/HDMI/DVI). If you can catch it on sale, get it. The lack of 1GB on this card seriously doesn't hurt it. The card I received was sealed, and I have not experienced any troubles with the card. I did uninstall my old drivers prior to shutting my computer down. I also downloaded the latest drivers from Nvidia.com.

Plugged card in, booted, installed drivers from Nvidia and performed. Nvidia overclocking recommendations for 3D were 608񳁎 and this only brings the CPU to around 44C. The reduce power mode and quiet fan make this card a very good choice for someone who is not interested in the most up-to-date games. None so far. I had a noob moment by not downloading the drivers ahead of installing the card. Rebate is getting processed, integrated game was playable through WINE. WebGL demos operate fine with it - the cause I purchased the card - my IGP choked on every single WebGL demo or tutorial I tried. The NVIDIA X Server Settings panel sliders for overclocking are a little jumpy when trying to set it to a distinct digit - but that is not XFX's fault.

None other then it was inexpensive and I got sf4 free of charge with it. Possessing the identical problems, random freezes and nvidia driver has recovered stuff. Ive attempted every little thing, distinct computers, distinct slots, fresh installs, different drivers. Nothing at all fixed the difficulty.I tried to get it resolved with xfx help and told them how I was obtaining all types of problems with driver crashing and what not. they replied back " Video card drivers have been happening given that there has been video cards" what the hell is that supposed to meen. Im not a moron I fully grasp the complete driver factor. A different factor I seen, check out the card with gpu-z. it will bounce among pcie 1. and two. till people today start posting more postive stuff about this card, I would try a various model. its not the xfx brand that is the problem, its this unique model that is.

Bought this for my HTPC since I wanted some thing inexpensive with HDMI out - performs exactly as anticipated. None. Don't know why so several people today are acquiring difficulties....batch of undesirable cards or anything?? No challenges here. This seriously isn't a bad card....I don't use it for gaming, but just for the heck of it I installed WoW on my HTPC.... looks great on my 46" Plasma at max res. - this card wouldn't be poor selection for a gamer on a budget.

I'm certain if it was operating, the card would fly by way of something you threw at it... ... regrettably, like a lot of of the other evaluations, my time with it has been a hair pulling encounter trying to repair random driver crashes and BSODs. I boot into the desktop just fine, but begin any graphic intensive program and the whole issue freezes up and get's errors. Hopefully I can replace it with a various model.

decent graphics for the funds, XFX is good with rebates and lifetime support For the money, you may well be able to get a far better graphics card / memory, but you in all probability won't get the warranty.

Affordable, reasonably quiet. When it works, blows away my XFX 7600GS. Only 1 DVI port. Key stability problems. Received mine a couple of days ago. Having main stability issues. Typically the desktop locks up once I log into Windows-- sometimes I can get into a game. Graphics are corrupted. Literally took apart my laptop or computer all the way down to the CPU and reseated every little thing-- just to make confident it wasn't something else. Even reset the BIOS back to factory defaults. Lastly reinstalled my old card and suddenly no far more difficulties. Personal computer is stable, no much more BSOD's. Seriously wanted to not have to write a poor evaluation, been a fan of XFX with my prior cards, but ya know what-- I'm tired of receiving low cost junk from China, and this one says "Made in China"What ever occurred to Produced in Taiwan??

Cons: The original drivers and driverpacks up until 270.xx would make this video card crash (no BSoDs though, just Aero would conk out) and recover when watching HD Youtube stuff. Not the end of the world, but pretty annoying, though.

Pros: Pretty good deal, fairly powerful card. Keeps cool. I'm currently getting 6.7 on both Aero and 3D desktop through WEI on Win7. For medium-intense gaming, HD video, video editing, photo editing and flash-based online gaming, works perfectly fine. It's a good buy.
Comment:
The latest driverpack from NVidia (285.62 as of this writing) has resolved pretty much all of the problems. Been running those drivers for a little over a week, and it's been trouble-free ever since. It's a good card, well worth the price (well it was a steal when it was 34.99 with the MIR -- still good deal right now)

Effective, I moved from an ATI 3450 in hybrid crossfire with a 3200, and it is at least twice as rapidly. I was playing Supreme Commander FA with all settings on high and a 1000 unit cap, and it barely slowed it down. Really like it. So far the only con is that my Linux partition insisted on giving me some funky default resolutions, requiring me to do some manual editing. Hardly the cards fault, though. I essentially did not purchase this card from newegg, I got it from my roommate who received it after his old XFX card failed. Their lifetime warranty appears to be legit, his old card was a 7500, lol. Seems like a excellent business, and a good card for the price. Also, all the folks getting troubles with the driver makes me suspicious that the drivers included with the card may possibly be bad. I by no means bothered with those, I went straight to the nividia site and downloaded theirs. Have had no issues.

Uncomplicated to install and low energy specifications. More than heating, freezing up, BSOD. Worked fine for about two-3 days and then the concerns began piling up. If you are thinking about obtaining this card then DON'T. To give you an concept, it freezes whilst playing Minecraft and League of Legends.

None. Manufacturing defects. This is a follow up to a evaluation I posted earlier. I was getting key stability problems with that card-- the computer usually froze or blue screened when booting into Windows. Was stable adequate to get into Windows and play a game once in a even though with some graphical corruption.Anyway, just received my replacement via Newegg RMA and this 1 is vastly much more stable than the prior but, regrettably, is also defective. It will often boot into Windows and run for a minute or two but prior to long the screen becomes sprinkled with colory pixels just just before it crashes. The display resets and comes back a moment later with a popup bubble from Windows which says the driver stopped working but was able to recover. I did get 1 blue screen when setting the resolution. Will not get from XFX once again-- or everyone else that sources their manufacturing from China. FAIL.Intel Core i7 920Intel DX58SO650W Corsair Energy Supplyand so on... Manufacturer Response:Sounds odd to have this concern with two items please make contact with myself at Neweggsupport@xfxforce.com so I can support get this solved.

You can get this card from anywhere from 20 to 35$ after MIR making it definitely the best bang for the buck video card in a budget PC. ANyone getting integrated graphics should spend the few extra $$$ for this!

Ran wow fantastic (max settings) for the year or so I had it. Certainly that isn't saying significantly. When I stopped playing WOW and picked up RIFT this didn't cut it. Max settings I was at 25 FPS and would dip to about 15 in World events/big cities. I upgraded to a 460 GDDR5 1GB and it runs RIFT much better but not the raise I hoped for. I will probably upgrade once again soon.

Cons: It's buggy with Ubuntu 11.04 and kernel 2.6.38-10

Pros: It's better than onboard video
Comment:
This card is OK but it manages to crash the X11 window compositor daily. It Ubuntu 11.04 running unity this crash occurred upto 3 times a day. Running Xubuntu with XFCE desktop environment I'm experiencing 1 crash every two days.I haven't tried it in windows but and so I can't speak to that operating system's stability with this hardware.Overall I wouldn't by this card again. I wanted slightly better than onboard video capabilities with HD video decoding but I didn't expect the system instability-This review is based on using the Nouveau drivers (FOSS) and the Proprietary Nvidia drivers for X86_64 Linux.
