Fast card, very quiet, and cool. Even with overclock I have not seen fans go beyond 50 something percent and highest temp for me was 69 degrees. ( I have good case air flow mind you).With + 130 on core, the card never throttles below 1400mhz, and the max this card can hold without throttling down is around 1450-ish due to the 106% power limit and "normal" gtx 970 TDP. This is a good choice for someone either not looking to overclock, who wants a quiet card, or someone who just plans on a fairly modest overclock. (compared to some other 970s)The card is quiet, cool, uses little power, and overclocks decently, and is 20 bucks cheaper than the gaming version, and 50 bucks cheaper than the gigabyte, but if you want a top overclocker and don't care about how much power your drawing, get an MSI gaming 970 or the gigabyte G1. |
bought this on sale for a low end gaming system. Does the job for the games I play.
