Other than the ease of physical installation, NOT 1 Thing. Video was WORSE than ahead of. Sound is NO different.I'd price this ZERO "EGGS" if it had been possible. Video, following application config correction, was poorer than the constructed-in mobo video. Much less crisp, fuzzy and no matter what I did with the enclosed software program AND SAMSUNG 26" controls, I could not get an acceptable full screen/desktop. The desktop regularly spilled more than the edge (left/right) of the HD display. Of course, that was with the HDMI connected. And then I "dropped back" to the old VGA cable. At that point, I was in a position to at least get an acceptably sized desktop. Sadly, the colour, crispness, and so forth that I anticipated with a GA card was not there. I therefore removed the card and "pawned it off" on a coworker for ฤ (a ŭ loss w/rebate for me). Now I'm back to my old, and actually fantastic video, IE: what I had before I began this tiny adventure. Never Again! And don't even get me began about this card functioning EVEN A lot more POORLY with my Redhat Linux Enterprise Set up (RHEL4). It's been stated that this card performs with "other" Linux variants. Should be that this card only performs with hacker-oriented Linux. My card came with driver 190.45. Could not uncover later Linux drivers and I shouldn't have had to. Just as the MSWin drivers are integrated, so need to the Linux drivers have been.Just one more excellent instance of a incredibly poor solution with an even worse product assistance technique and a poorly believed-out, non-inclusive distro disk.

- Low power consumption- Highly effective enough for HDTV- Compact and fits nicely in low-profile as properly- Wonderful value - Fan failed after five months of use I just sent this in on RMA to Gigabyte mainly because the fan was generating aweful noises. I anticipate a good exchange, but it expenses me time with no the card and dollars for shipping to get it to them.

Incredibly good overall performance for a really low price tag.Fits in low profile computers. The fan beginning making noise. It was an uncomplicated process to get a replacement from Gigabyte. Nevertheless, I had to pay return shipping and, immediately after a couple of weeks, the fan has already began to fail on the new card. I intended to use this in our DVR front finish, which was a low profile machine. Now that the fan has failed twice, I am going to put a bigger, passive cooler and place in a unique computer.

Simple Set up. Drivers loaded Fantastic. On board Fan. dual1080p HDMI and DVI for two monitors works wonderful. HDMI audio works effectively too. Handle Interface could be greater. would have gone with DDR3 if i was interested in gaming, but i only need this to watch movies. Mail IN rebates are annoying. i usually overlook to send mine in.

It was cheap and supplies an simple HDMI interface when your MB doesn't assistance it. It is possibly the lowest energy consuming video cards on the market place. Did I say it was cheap? The fan noise..... epic fail on Gigabyte's part. What industry does this card serve? It is for folks who don't care about gaming but want a very good HTPC card. What is one of the most important attributes for a very good HTPC card? Low noise! Right here you have the lowest power consumption chipsets on the industry that is screaming out for a passive heatsink and Gigabyte puts a noisy fan on a tiny chunk of aluminum to screw it up. Epic Fail! I got this card with the ECS MB, & AMD CPU bundle so the card was nearly cost-free. With the mail-in rebate is was particularly inexpensive and the only explanation I bought it was simply because it was in the bundle and I figured since it had memory on board it would be much better than the on-board video that would consume main memory sources. The fan is loud enough I'm thinking of removing the card and chucking it and taking the added hit in maim memory.

Very good cost for a card, ฼.99 with a ฤ mail in rebate. Not the ideal, but operates great. Installation was a snap, driver set up was uneventful. Not good for high intensity gaming, but performs for now until I get my cash to construct my new rig...which I will be purchasing all parts from newegg! None truly. Some have complained about the fan getting also loud, but I haven't notice this. Left my case open and place my ear up to my rig and there was no noticeable increase in fan noise compared to my last card. Ordered on fourቪ, arrived on 4ቬ as newegg predicted. Often a great getting practical experience here, and they're positive to get the Ū,500+ I'm spending to construct my next rig!

HDMI with sound. Looks wonderful on HD monitor and HDTV. Black Screen immediately after set up of drivers. Resolution is to wait a tiny bit following your hd activity light goes off and tough reboot your personal computer. Following that you never see the black screen once more and everything is fine. Wish it had far better score with windows aero.

Let me just say wow. When I 1st saw this card for ษ.00 after MRB I was thinking it was going to suck but it is a enormous upgrade from my ATI Radeon 1300x and my Nvidia Geforce 6600 GT. It is nice that it is compatiable with PCI-Express 1.. It made me jump about 30-40 FPS and it isn't loud at all but of course I'm next to a server so that may possibly be why. I would recommend acquiring this if you like playing games on your computer and watch HD videos (see cons). It performs amazingly on Ubuntu when you update to the newest Nvidia driver significantly far better then a ATI equivalent. As I stated in the pros I have a PCI-Express 1. slot and not 2. so when I'm watching videos in HD they tend to lag due to the video card running at just about half speed of what it should but I nevertheless Advocate finding it. Thanks yet again Newegg for an additional excellent product and shipping. It did crash my X-server on Ubuntu a few instances till I updated the driver to 195.

I put this card in a technique running Ubuntu (Linux) and it worked perfectly. The fan is very quiet & the graphics are wonderful. On the internet video is awesome even with only 1GB of program ram. I paid just ศ.99 immediately after rebate, you can't beat it. None yet. I am not a gamer so I have no thoughts there. Can't wait to hook it up to my HD Television with the HDMI jack.

HDMI, Newegg is wonderful for the rapidly shipping and Newegg paid for the shipping when I returned the Graphic Card for not operating appropriately. My screen would be blank after the initially restart of my personal computer right after installing the Drivers. I tried to fix this by uninstalling the drivers in secure mode but just about every time I would install drivers from the Driver CD or the web site or Windows update screen would be blank once more.I Asked Newegg for a full refund due to this.I Asked New egg for a full refund due to this.

VGA + DVI + HDMI all built into the card is a plus. Video quality and controls are greater than the integrated Intel G41 video. GPU Fan is relatively quiet, but I have yet to put it under any actual tension. No drivers for Windows Server 2003, so I applied the XP drivers from nVidia's internet site with out concern. In all it's a wonderful card for ย.99 soon after rebate w/ Free of charge Shipping.Card works fine in Solaris 10 as properly. I don't know what angrypants is complaining about with the card being a challenge in Linux. No challenge with nVidia's drivers here. I installed this card on a Hackintosh-able Gigabyte GA-G41M-ES2H (rev. 1.) Motherboard. Sadly there's a conflict between the southbridge(!?) and the out-of-box BIOS on this videocard (v. F3) will trigger the technique to lag in the course of the POST method. Not just boot slow.... boot so slow that every single and every character to be printed on the boot screen is drawn one-by-1 at the rate of one character a second. This causes the program to be fully unbootable. It was slower than watching an 8086 boot. So, when installing this card on an Intel G41 chipset, if your technique boots super slow or not at all, the Video card BIOS in all probability needs an update to the latest and greatest (F4) version. The cooler mounting solution is a little flimsy. 4 foam pads hold the cooler away from the circuit board, 2 push pins with springs offer tension. When installing the video card onto the motherboard I squeezed the cooler slightly at the top edge of the card and heard the Thermal Interface Material pad *pop* off of the GPU. Weaksauce. For the role I'm using it in (HTPC) I'd prefer the cooler be a solid, large, passive cooler like on the EVGA 512-P3-1213-LR or MSI N210-MD512H - but you get what you pay for.

Pros: -Affordable-Great for watching videos-Many outputs

Just needed a video card to build a computer for watching videos and running normal programs and this fit the bill. I enjoy that it allows for many different outputs including HDMI. The fan seems cheap but it does provide adequate cooling

Cons: You won't be doing much gaming with this.Rivatuner doesn't support this card.

Pros: InexpensiveBetter than onboard videoHas DVI,VGA and HDMIRuns cool and quiet.Very energy efficient, less than 15w at full load.
Comment:
Nice little card for a HTPC or non-gaming machine and for $27AR you can't go wrong. It uses standard Nvidia drivers. This card draws almost no power so the heatsink barely becomes warm and the tiny fan runs quiet. I don't know why they just didn't go fanless on this one. Overall I'm pleased with it.

Nice little card that is better than just about any onboard graphics. However, even though the 210 is supposed to be supported for the Foldingbhome GPU application, I can't seem to get it to run on this.Would be great for a HT setup.

Got this as a home theatre card for my SuperMicro server. Installs fine on W2k8 Ent x64. Drivers on the CD worked great. It doesn't have a very robust utility program, but it seems to be configured alright as is.I'm using the HDMI connection for video and sound to my home theatre receiver and so far so good.

Cons: No visible benefits from 40nm chip, Weaker than 9400gt

Pros: Cheap, runs Guild Wars and Day of Defeat: Source
Comment:
I wanted a video card that would run on a 220watt psu, that was slimline, and ran very cool for my Acer Aspire slimline pc. I bought this instead of the 9400gt because I thought it might run cooler due to it being 40nm. It idles at 47.C and when Guild Wars it running it climbs to about 67.C. I'm glad this card runs, but if I had known that it would run that warm I would have gotten a 9400gt as they are also a little bit better.
