Tilted dual fan style doesn't just blow air onto the heatsink, they're angled so that they will move air towards the rear vents. My card hit 825񳉢񲿘 easily... YMMVRuns folding at household extremely effectively and utilizes a maximum of 55 watts. I'm currently making 10,900 ppd with the present crop of 925 point work units, and 9,500 ppd with the existing crop of 912 point operate units. Dual slot cooling style is not needed for a 55 Watt GPU. Really should have waited for a decent complete-height single slot cooler model to come out, but the dual slot design and style won't be an issue in the new Computer. Bought for mom's subsequent pc, will not be applied for gaming other than solitare & other basic 2D card games for which it is fine. Even handles Far Cry two at 1280x1024 & low settings at a smooth framerate, even though I wouldn't attempt any severe high res gaming with it.

Installed in a fresh make this Christmas season, operating it with an Intel i3 3.0ghz. So far, this card has exceeded my expectations for its expense. Granted, I haven't run any definitely higher pressure games on it, but it runs WoW on ultra gloriously. None so far. Invariably double-check for compatibility with your board, processor, and case.

Don't know of any, wasn't even able to set up. Don't know of any, wasn't even able to install. Just placing this out there to any one who is interested in this card and has the slimline case emachines. You want to take a look at the height amount accessible from the PCIe slot. I bought this card as a gift but didn't understand the fans had been properly beyond the space obtainable inside the case. I didn't feel to check on it, believed the low profile section was sufficient, apparently not. I would have loved for him to have been in a position to use it Christmas day, but I'm just going to have to return it and get a card that will be capable to fit inside of the case.

HDMI, DVI, or VGA, super quiet, low profile, cheap.I purchased this card as soon as OCN forums said the GT430 is going to be the next greatest value folder gpu. I chose this 1 due to the fact of its two fans and the low profile bracket is included. I installed it in our workplace manager's computer, a frequent big-brand slim desktop with a dual core 6000+. I just overhauled this 4 year old computer and gave it four G of RAM, the 3.0GHz cpu, and this GPU. I was hoping it could fold soon after hours and was flatly stunned that it can run the gpu3 client ALL DAY and you would by no means notice though operating workplace tasks (email, pandora, web browsing, word processing). The cpu was negligible load and barely any heat comes out of the case. HDMI is awesome, 1 cable for fantastic image + sound. That I only purchased 1... I'm shopping for 2 far more on my next newegg order.

Got this to replace a Amd video card (low profile)On sale, the price wasn't too badThe cooler does use an extra slotWhen i unpacked the card i noticed that the wire powering the little fans was rubbing against one of the fans. I simply repositioned it and that did the trick (otherwise the rubbing would cause noise). No big deal.

Cons: Like the other guy said, the fans are huge and chew up an extra slot. Fortunately I don't need it. And the fans sounded iffy when I started it up for the first time, but they seem to have settled down. I'm hoping they stay that way.

Pros: InexpensiveRuns what I need it forLots of fan, so hopefully lots of cooling

Overall, this is a pretty good little card for the money. I needed to replace a card on an older computer that had the video card crap out, and it was a simple plug and play solution. Runs everything I'll need it for, but I'm not running anything too heavy through it. Cheap is as cheap does. This review was modfied by poster @ 07-20-12 07:17 PM

depends on what you want from it - update to preceding assessment. Have to give it 1 egg, can't give it a -ten No video encoding capability far better than 6 year old video cards. Unable to return or RMA thru either Newegg or Galaxy. Save your income and obtain from another manufacturer and supplier Right after three weeks of working with Galaxy, the card still does not do any video encoding comparable with a 10 year old card. On-board graphics would be greater. I have dealt with Newegg for in all probability over ten years and this is the last purchase I will ever make from them. Their RMA and return policy is non-existant. "sorry it does not perform, you sent in a rebate and we can't do something". Galaxy - No response to any request for a refund or RMA.

Functions well other than video encoding. Video encoding. I purchased this card to replace a Radeon X1600 to do video encoding. I assumed the CUDA would help on my quad-core 4GB machine to speed up the procedure. Because installing it, the time has gone from roughly 1 hour to over five hours to do one 2 hour movie. Tech support has been operating on it but no outcomes so far, just a lot of my time spent on analysis and comparison runs. I have replaced the GT430 with my old card (about five years old) and it is running far better. I would have given additional than two eggs, but the only reason I bought the card was for the video encoding and it is worse, not superior.

Little size (you have to see it to think it)Tiny costGreat video rendering and great 3D efficiencyPhysX is outstandingFermi machine Really, very poor 2D efficiency with vectors. -1 egg.At 1st I tought it to be a driver problem but upgrading to 8.17.12.6099 created the matter worst. Had to revert back to 8.17.12.5936Some low finish video cards (ex: 8400GS) performs much better with 2D vectors than this card.Getting to downgrade a driver that effortlessly takes yet another egg off. On the other hand it was bought mainly because it is a Fermi machine and I wanted to be in a position to access the CUDA cores given that the machine is primarily employed for video editing and rendering (supports H.264). I consider this card to be an entry video card for Fermi. That's Ư egg.Net result -> four eggsPassMark 2D : 381.5 -> PassMark 2D vectors : .65!PassMark 3D : 789.5Win7 : 6.6ǝ.9

Cons: - can't support full graphics for the newest games very well.- Huge fan system (May take up a second slot unintentionally).- only has 3 specific slots, may anger multi-screened users.

Pros: - Works great, no problems so far.- No installation problems, install and go.- Great for the people who just want to play the game and not worry about graphics.- Not overclocked, No temperature problems.

I bought this product not just to try... My old one broke down. When I started to use it, I was interested in how well it ran. I've only played Starcraft 2 so far and I have not used it's full potential.I have a dual core 2.0 GHZ CPU, 2 gigs RAM, windows XP, Asus m2nvp-vm Motherboard. My computer is actually lacking the power to fully use the video card and it works just fine for me.
