Runs This card does not run at 5 GB/s on my new Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3 m/b. My old Biostar 9500GT ran at 5 GB/s with no difficulties. This N450OC-1GI card is only running at two.5 GB/s; that is PCIe 1. speed. Smells like the BIOS on the card is hosed. Submitted tech assistance request to Gigabyte. Hopefully it won't be a week till I hear from them as occured when I submitted a request on my m/b. Otherwise, this card is going back to Newegg as a RMA.

I have been using Gigabyte hardware for various years and have had fantastic luck until now. Started providing me artifacts correct from the start out. I attempted everything I could consider, no luck. I have never ever had a poor video card just before so I wasn't confident if it was perhaps a driver situation. I am fairly positive now the card was defective. Newegg as usual took fantastic care of me and gave a full refund. Bought a 9800GT and it performs great.

Installed smoothly, performs like a charm, NVidia's wonderful about drivers, and it came with a large instruction manual I didn't read and a driver CD I didn't use (just installed from NVidia's website). Also came with a mini-HDMI to HDMI converter and a DVI to VGA converter. Beautifully built and continually hovering around 26°C idle, 44°C operating SC2 on higher settings. Haven't seriously played with Ultra but High looks wonderful so I haven't worried about it. It's pretty large. Covers up one particular of the SATA ports on my motherboard, but that's ASUS's fault, not Gigabyte's. Otherwise no complaints at all! Very best "bang for your buck" of any new graphics card if you're hunting for 3D rendering and higher framerates. If you're hunting for a highly functional graphics card on a price range I'd advise this, or a GT 240 if you don't want anything very so highly effective.

Great card for those on a price range and wanting to do some gaming. Had it for a little more than a month now and no complaints about it at all. Runs games really decently. Not for the hardcore super gamer even though, but for us typical gamers it's good. The two DirectX 11 games I own, Aliens Vs. Predators and Metro 2033 run nicely with it. Also works good in Linux, which I use everyday when I'm not gaming. Rebate is taking forever... I don't have another PCIe x16 slot, but if I ever upgrade my motherboard I'll absolutely get yet another a single of these for SLI. Nvidia, Gigabyte, and Newegg are awesome.

Quiet, much better than I expected and good for the cost none so far was expecting some thing on par with my old 8800GT but so far this a single seems significantly better. I have even hooked it up to my 40" HDTV and it was lovely. Would certainly propose to anybody looking for a card at this price point.

Excellent price tag, wonderful functionality increase from my 7950GT. Super quiet even when running a number of monitors and multiple programs. Will be acquiring another really soon. Big card, utilizing in an old technique till I finish creating new personal computer, and requires up a LOT of space. Also, first card I've had with HDMI capabilities. As such, if you use on-board audio controller, you will need to set in your bios to always allow on-board audio or this card will disable it. No problem if you use the HDMI port, I don't. despite the ridiculous size, and frustration more than obtaining no sound following installing a vid card, I really like it. Boosted efficiency on a five yr old method like you wouldn't think. Cant wait to see what the new comp with 2 can do!

Technique specs: Athlon ii x48gb ram870 extreme3 mobo650w PSUVery fantastic card for the price tag. Ran SC2 on Ultra about 60 fps, drop to 20-30 fps in the course of massive battles. Artifacting after 4 weeks, thank goodness (newegg wont let the word g o d ??) it occurred with two days left on my RMA time. Will return for a refund and attempt out a 5770 because these cards are so new. I am afraid I will get an additional bad one. It is a fantastic spending budget card for the value, but is not trustworthy.

-Despite dual fans, incredibly silent. The Pc is barely audible, often when i turn it on, i wonder if the energy switch was broken mainly because it's so quiet.-Performance about on par with a 5770 on some games. Needs overclocking to be definitely head to head.-stock overclock -Need to have to use the Mini HDMI to HDMI adapter to use HDMI, which barely fit on my video card due to the closeness of the ports on the back of the case.-Drivers that came with it had been older drivers that do not genuinely assistance the GTS 450. If you download the drivers on the Nvidia internet site, they're still beta drivers (as of 10ǜቦ) as the initial official supporting drivers. (for both win 7 and win xp) If your spending budget is around 100-130$, i would get this card. Any bit more, i would go with the 5770.Whilst the drivers had been nonetheless in beta, they still had no complications. I ran this with an old rig, and nevertheless acquiring a extremely noticable performance boost over my 8800 GT 512MB playing Final Fantasy XIV. Audio pass-by means of worked effectively. Although the GPU itself would be a 4 egg rating, i'm rating the company and assistance of the item. Gigabyte rocks. Not only was this the cheapest at the time, it came stock overclocked, 20$ MIR, virtually quiet fans, and by critiques i found on guru3d, this is one particular of the better GTS 450s.

I just wanted a NEW video card and this one particular fit the bill perfectly... I am not a hardcore overclocker and actually play really little games on my system. NADA... This video card is extremely quiet in "silent" mode, but following a week of running it that way, I moved the jumper back... I just choose superior cooling. Besides, the fan in my power supply is audible anyways so it didn't actually make that considerably of a distinction.

Excellent card, looks snazzy and operates like a champ! Properly the card is incredibly extended, it sticks right into my HD bays so I had to gap them from every other in order to stick it in. It was challenging obtaining all the cable re attached to every thing with this sticking out but I got it.Also there is a little flaw with the ports (at least with my case) where the DVI port is too close to the mini HDMI port, so when my DVI monitor is attached I wasn't in a position to place the mini HDMI to HDMI converter it, (DVI interfered) However with just a short Mini HDMI to HDMI CABLE I was in a position to stay away from this. Just a note. All round fantastic get, most computer system customers don't have 3-four challenging drives so you can stay away from the card sticking into the bays, and utilizing all the ports are slightly uncommon also, with just the cable mentioned above the dilemma can be avoided. I wish they would give a cable rather of the modest adapter in the 1st location.

So far so very good with the card its self. In a position to max most just about every game I have out at 1024x768. My old CRT monitor and 32bit OS is holding me back a bit. Performs wonderful on a pals 50" Tv. The energy adapter cable is extremely poorly created. Have to fiddle with the 4pin connectors to get them to plug in. One particular of then comes shed really easily. Believed it had shorted the card out. With some uninstalling and reinstalling I was in a position to get it back going. -1 egg ASRock K10N78D motherboardAMD Athlon II X2 240 Regor two.8GHzGIGABYTE GV-N450OC-1GI GeForce GTS 450WINTEC AMPO 4GB Ɣ x 1GB) DDR2 800Windows XP 32bitLoads of cooling.

When it functions, it performs nicely. It doesn't work. Method crashes continually. We purchased two of these, both put in Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R motherboards. Each worked for around a week, then began displaying digital artifacts. Both began crashing repeatedly. Screen would flicker as the video driver stopped and recovered, from time to time 3-4 occasions in a minute or two, before rebooting. We now have two bricks. Place a pair of older cards into each system and they both work fine. The Nvidia forums show lots of other men and women obtaining complications with this line of card. We'll be attempting to return ours and most likely going with a pair of ATIs.

for the price of this card i can not complain one bit about it. every little thing functions perfectly. i play a veriety of games (Race Driver Grid on highest settings, Crysis on high settings, Fallout 3 on highest settings) and i have absolutly no complaints. i purchased this card lead to on tomshardware.com they had this board benchmarked at 1,230 or one thing close and it was great for the cost range. also operating crysis for a half an hour my computer only gets to about 40ºc and is nonetheless warm to the touch on the vid card. so the cooling on this point is WONDERFULl. for individuals that use smaller circumstances this vid card may not be for you. this video card is longer than my motherbaord. and will take up two slots. Card works wonderful so far, allowed highest settings with no drawbacks on Fallout New Vegas and Mount&Blade: War Band. I also play Starcraft 2 with this but preserve the game on low or medium for other reasons so I can't speak for the card on that, but it runs just fine. Weird fan vibration noise, while that could be from someplace else in the case immediately after I installed it but sounded like it could be from the GPU. Doesn't influence anything even though and only occurs extremely rarely. I need to have waited because it's like ฮ less costly now than when I very first bought it.
