Initially I was operating with a 9800GT for Physix processing and it ran hot, 41኱ deg.Pulled the 9800 trigger non of my games use physix and I think the close proximity was starving the 580's fans for air.Temps dropped to 37ኚ deg.Incredibly really delighted with the functionality and possible overclockability! None so far. This card is a powerhouse. How cool it runs will depend on how well your case and hardware can cool factors off.The 3 fan setup functions extremely well but if you crowd it in your setup, it will run a tiny warm.

Fantastic performance. Immediately after installing the card I loaded Negative Business 2 and maxed all the settings. Smooth as butter.Incredibly quiet. I believed Gigabyte's Windforce 3x cooling remedy would be not much more than a gimmick, but the fans are quiet and temps are relatively chilly. None so far. Well I guess the card appears slightly flimsy, but I have no knowledge with the gtx series (upgrading from 9800gt sli) so this may well be the norm. I only noticed this as I was plugging in the energy cords and noticed a bit of 'flex.' I have this along with a 9800 gt which is committed to PhysX. The case I use (Antec 900) BARELY fit the card, after rearranging my tough drives to enable both area and airflow, but this is a gtx 580...what do you anticipate! Don't bother with the driver CD that comes with the card, just download driver from Nvidia. CD doesn't have anything you will need that you can't get a newer version of on-line.I'm running a single monitor setup at 1920x1200 and so far nothing at all has triggered the card to sweat, which is very good due to the fact I'm planning on adding an additional in SLI or upgrading for a pretty extended time.

Rock strong steady at 950 mhz! Tops out at 80c on load at this speed, which is entirely acceptable Appear up those clocks, water cooled doesn't even touch it. Has been great and runs for hours straight with no even blinking. None actually. Comes with two games, so cost is even acceptable! Bar none, ideal card I have ever owned. Not confident what people in these testimonials are saying about Rift running at 60 fps. If you turn up all the settings to max, and are at a resolution important to own a card like this 񢈀x1080 minimum), then you are not obtaining 60 fps on any card, any system, anyplace. This is the ideal it gets.

- Runs incredibly cool compared to my old card (ㅙc idle, ㅯc full load)- No Frame spiking, in other words, smooth game play- Quiet compared to the stock leaf blowers- Capability to play older games (specific Z-buffering help) - The fans (excluding the a single blowing out of the case) blows hot air inside the case.- Need to have a decent case with fantastic airflow my setup- Core i5 760- DDR3 1600 Corsair 4gb ƒx2gb)- Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD4P- OCZ Vertex two 120GB- Dell UltraSharp ང 27" Monitor- Antec Nine HundredMy old card died after 2 years (constant temps of around ㅯc idle, ㆒c load at stock fan speed; Brand-new as well). I had to maintain the fan speed at 55% to get it to comfy temps to get far more years out of the card. The noise level of the card was annoying, but very good factor I had noise-cancelling headphones. Also, if I wanted to run SLI on these cards, I would need to have to upgrade my motherboard to a 1366 socket or 1155 socket (I'm already bottle necking this video card via the existing setup) to get the total use out of these cards. Otherwise, this is a good card. Well worth the dollars.

Sweet card. I'm surprised it took this lengthy to implement vapour chamber technology. My only disappointment is the cost! Ack...the industry is just too saturated with cards that they can't do any price tag drops...just add to the price tag line...e... None

Blazing fast Card / Comparatively QuietExcellent performance on synthetics benches and realworld. Didn't function for LengthyNot a lot of accessories for a card of this valueGigabytes Horrible Buyer Service/RMA MethodThis card worked good for just over a month. Then I started to notice some artifacting, blue spots, tearing and other junk immediately after about 10-15 minutes of heavy 3D use to full load. Thoughts you, there is no OC, save the factory OC on board. Situation is custom Lian-Li with, count-em, 7 120 MM fans and a custom Koolance water loop. NO OC at this time. Put a Radeon 4870x2 in, runs like a dream. no difficulties, full load for hours, I'm set. Put the Gigabyte 580 in and following about ten minutes or so, I get artifacting. Tearing. Blue spots and junk. No complications for about a then all this started to happen. Stock everthing. Gigabytes RMA course of action is got to be the worst I've ever noticed. No solution for advanced replacement or something. two small business weeks to get my card back??? Because I was over the 30 days, Newegg wouldn't take this point back. So if and when Gigabyte replaces it, I'm promoting it and purchasing a various card. My initial Gigabyte card ever and my last. I've constantly been an EVGA/Asus/XFX fan. Ought to've stayed on the reservation. Thoughts you. If the card worked, it's good. But the rating have to take into account the totallity of the circumstances which contains the failure of the card and Gigabytes horrible procedure for RMA, the worst I've noticed which leaves me to conclude; HORRIBLE! Harsh? Yes....but hey....I spent 躔 on a video card. that issue better be tip major and so should the service.

More affordable then many reference designsWindforce 3X Cooler keeps them idle at 37CLess power draw then my old GTX480'sQUIET ! 50% much less noise at 70% fan speed then GTX480's This fan design is NOT great for tri-sli config. These would function best in a SLI (two card config) if you have at least a single open pci- slot between them. The middle card in tri-sli will get starved for intake and temps below load will reach > 94C. This is only a con if you run far more then two of these cards. For single card or dual cards in sli with an empty slot in between them its an Awesome card(s) Overall verry pleased with the upgrade from GTX480's just for the noise reduction while gaming let alone increased efficiency. Running 3 1920x1200 monitors at 5760x1200 surround mode = Great performance.

Very good seeking card Ran extremely cool though it worked.HDMI cableCalled Newegg up and they had been Incredibly helpful, refunded what i paid for shipping return and gave me an advanced replacement. Card became DOA 5 minutes immediately after bootup and i was in me new develop in the uefi, changed ram from 1333 to 1600, rebooted fine, asked for windows cd and then it artifacted and the monitor would recieve a signal. Altered PCIe, nothing. left it alone for 30 minutes and it showed the startup and artifacted again and lost signal. Consumer Service was Incredibly helpful and will be getting my replacement in my hands soon.Dont be drawn away from buying, i was just one particular in thousands to get a negative card and i will be updating this evaluation when i get it back.

Till it stopped operating appropriately it was able to play all my games at a very good fps rate. Shortly soon after two months of ownership the card kept crashing each and every couple of minutes. A 躔+ card should not crash when viewing YouTube or playing easy flash games. Gigabyte buyer service and technical assistance is terrible. Their recommendation to troubleshoot a card is to get rid of it and install it in another laptop or computer. I wish I could give this card six stars. Mildly overclocked it appropriate out of the box and it didnt flinch. Turned it up 30% and nevertheless goin robust. Fans in no way need to have to go above 45% to keep it beneath 60C, even after gaming for four hours. None. Get it. Now. Running Mafia 2 and Rift mainly, each on maxed out settings. In no way dropped below 58 fps. Employed MSI Afterburner to overclock it, didn't even have to turn up voltages. Runs Incredibly cool. idling and watching HD videos it under no circumstances gets above 40C. Utilized Kombuster to anxiety test it and nonetheless couldn't get it to go over 62C. I'll be obtaining yet another for SLI soon.

They run really quiet. I barely hear them in my Silverstone Fortress case. These cards are extremely quick. I have had good results with all the games that I have run in surround mode. These cards vent heat into the case. It would be wise to have an efficiently cooled case for these. Nvidia control panel will not bear in mind monitor areas. In other words there are no profiles to set up so that when you transform from "Surround Gaming" back to "Use all Displays". Due to the fact it does not keep in mind your settings, you have to fiddle with monitor place every single time you alter. I purchased two of these cards for SLI. So far I am quite happy. They run quick, cool, and quiet. The fans do ramp up when required, and then I can hear them but they are still quieter than my single GTX 285 was.

The card came with an old bios revision which kept crashing in all games (display driver has stopped responding). Upon flashing the video card bios to the latest revision (F33), the card has never crashed again since. Here's the link to the bios:http://ca.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3684&dl=1#biosVery satisfied, great card, great price.

Card slams dunks everything I throw at it with no even flinching. You will be mystified by how the rendering looks!! Glad I purchased it. Runs nice and cool in my HAFx Dang it's high-priced!! was going to SLI them but decided against it purchased a nice maple credenza instead. Did I mention these things are high priced! The support arm for graphics card that comes with the HAFx doesn't rather fit this card. The heat transfer pipe on the bottom of the card is in the way to get the holder totally affixed on the card. Although it fits properly sufficient to support the card in a marginal way.

this card replaced a crossfire 5770 setup. It was worth every single penny.....I only buy gigabyte, and this is top of the line. At stock clock it only got up to 60c ! now in an sli setup i cant say, but the winforce for sure makes a big distinction. even @ 940mhz and 1.2v it still only runs ᥉ c none. also it doesnt take up 3 slots.....it only takes up two. if u overclock u cant beat this card. on stock cooler it cant be matched. the finish
