Cons: -double fans mean that the body is much larger than reference GTX650 cards (you must know this before buying) performance compared to a GTX560 Ti
Pros: -very decent card-very quiet-very cool-2GB memory means loads of room for texture mods-relatively inexpensive-lower power consumption thanks to new G106 Comment:
This is a great card, a 4.5/5. It provides very good performance while still maintaining low temperatures and noise levels. Even at full load the card doesn't turn into a jet turbine in order to cool the card.It handles games at High to Ultra with framerates anywhere from 20-60+. Some games may stutter a little at 1080dUltra settings, but that's expected for middle of the road performance. Having all the ports allows me to successfully utilise a 3-monitor setup for work, and a 1-monitor setup for play.It's hard to dock any points from this card, except for maybe the cost, but that's limited by nVidia's own reference lines. |

I bought a small form factor computer for my son for Christmas with this card. Of course I have had to test it extensively beforehand.... I installed Borderlands 2 and I've been playing it for a few hours. Ultra settings, Physx set on high, beautiful! It plays with not a hiccup. My old system with Crossfire 5870's can't do this. And what a difference an NVIDIA card makes! When they say, The way it's meant to be played, they mean it. I didn't buy this card expecting a miracle. I got what I paid for and more! I didn't think I'd be cranking settings at 1080p, but I am, and it works great. |
I bought this card because I needed on while on a budget. Being a FPS gamer, i wasn't expecting this card to deliver the performance of more expensive cards. I am happy to say it blew my expectations out of the water. So far none of my games have suffered any issues while playing in high graphics. Great card if your on a bugdet!
