Easy install for Win7. Functions effectively in a Hackintosh construct (just be positive to update Chameleon to RC5 r748 or higher). Mine stays fairly cool. Looks nice, but you can't truly see it. My card is a bit wider than the profile pic indicates. The outcome is that it eats up 2 1ǘ spaces so beware. (It requires up the PCI-E plus 1 PCI then almost yet another PCI slot.) If I location a card in the partially blocked PCI slot, it barely touches the fan assembly. I chose this since I'm interested in gaming somewhat, but I wanted a card that would be Mac compatible. It's a very good decision for my needs.

- The card worked fantastic by themselves- In CF, the cards nevertheless worked even even though the prime card got very hot.- two X 5770 in CF had much better efficiency than 5850 that I ended up going with. (But I nonetheless RMA'd the 5770 since...) The design of the fan hood for these double slot cards has an extra rim sticking up above the fans. So if applied in CrossFire, exactly where the two cards are appropriate subsequent to each other (I have GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD7 motherboard). The fan casing for the best card lies correct against the bottom card, and pretty significantly no air is capable to get in. Producing the top rated card get genuinely seriously hot, even in the course of net surfing. I have each a side case fan and a front case fan that blows air towards this card, but I nevertheless wasn't comfy with how hot it got. So I RMA'd them and went with a single card option. I ended up buying the Sapphire 5850 instead.

Effectively only a week into making use of this, but have been extremely pleased, and obtaining it from New Egg only makes it better! Temps stay fine during gaming and can't wait to get my second a single. Nothing at all beyond what I already anticipated, huge and requires two slots, fairly typical for high finish cards at this point. Placed my 1st order on NewEgg in 2002 and have never ever been disappointed!

quiet, performance, truly fantastic fps for a single card, lots of nice characteristics for the value range. I have had great experiences with Gigabyte. This is no exception. It doesn't play the batman theme song when I plug it in. With a fan cover like that, the theme song ought to be MANDATORY. Come on gigabyte get with the system. earns my bang for the buck award

Rapid, solid card. All in all I'm really pleased. 150-300 FPS in Counter Strike: Source with all settings maxed. 70-150 FPS in DnDo with DX10 and everything set to Max GTAIV(steam) runs fantastic࿈-50 fps, acceptable as I played the other games on a ntsc tv..) with all shadows set to high and 16xAA I had some freezes concerns that May be connected to the "grey lines" situation utilizing the ten.3 drivers, I rolled back to the final 9 series drivers, and it hasn't happened again. I will test new drivers again soon after I finish my RAM rma, and get new memory I want I had purchaced a crossfire mobo, I'm considering two of these would be sweet.

excellent performance.runs cool.good size to match in a mid-tower.installed in win7, uninstall old NV driver and get catalyst ten.three smoothly, no dilemma so far.The batman cooler is not as shady as it seems on the net page. No 256-bit memory bus...evidently quite bandwidth restricted. Mine doesn't want to run above 950 core and 1350 mem... Replaced an aging and starting-to-fail 8800GT. Roughly possessing 𞳆% efficiency at 50% the price I bought the preceding card. IMO these days graphics are made too large and as well hot in the overall performance/enthusiast sector. Previously my case could barely fit an 8800GT and I was worrying about my upgrade path. This card comes as a ideal fit, enough performance distinction to justify the obtain with nice benefits in the temperature and energy sector. It appears to me that this card roughly belongs to the bottom of the second tier of cards which consists of up to 5830, GTX 285. The distinction of overall performance in this sector is like 30% from top rated to bottom, which is tangible but not as significant as the power draw or size distinction.Initially I planned to wait for GF104. After seeing the energy usage of GTX 480 and 470 I changed my thoughts. I also don't count on the functionality of 256 SP GF100 to differ a lot from GT200s. Let's see if I am correct.

Runs smooth, quiet, and relatively cool at about 39-41C. Able to get 100-200 FPS on Wow at max settings. Supports 3 monitors, two DVI, 1 DISPLAYPORT, 1 HDMI. All the choices you need. Runs effective compared to my HIS 4870 that died in much less than a year. Wonderful value. Little Bulky, takes up two slots, in no way liked that kind element. Mail in rebates are lame! Good Affordable priced Card if your like me and refused to commit far more than 赨 for a video card considering that they become dated in 6 months

I seriously liked the exclusive cooler design and it seemed to in fact keep temperatures low. Efficiency was strong on most games using high settings for a handful of months... Card is dying. It runs games with horrendous frame rates for a handful of minutes just before crashing entirely. When not gaming the video display frequently crashes. Tried multiple driver versions with no luck. Overall what seemed like a solid acquire was anything but. Not confident how Gigabyte is about their warranty but hopefully they can exchange mine for a operating card. Just before the card began acting up it was a excellent performer. Hopefully I can report back and alter my overview at a later date if card is replaced.

Remarkable graphics (when it runs properly),I could max out all settings on any game, and it would beautifully and smoothGreat price. I'd regularly get the typical "Grey screen of death" connected with these cards, when operating older games. For some purpose, it'd play CoD:MW2 at max settings for hours on finish with no troubles, but I couldn't play WoW or Doom three for much more than 2 minutes without it locking up the laptop. This is with Windows 7 64-bit. ATI's blaming these concerns on a Win 7 update. Also, the fan/heatsink setup is horribly cheesy seeking and quite flimsy. Seemed to do a good sufficient job maintaining the chip at low temps, although. Even so, I've heard overheating capacitors could be what's contributing to the difficulties. If that's the case, this inexpensive-o heatsink, could be a component of the dilemma. Do your study prior to deciding on this card. A LOT of people are obtaining difficulties with this series (Not just the Gigabyte a single's either). I positive hope ATI comes out with new drivers ASAP. In the meanwhile, I'm returning this card, and ordered a 5830 and hoping for much better results. If you go with one particular of these 5770's, devote the additional บ-20 and get a greater quality 1 than this 1.

Really quiet, fantastic price tag, low heat. I presently am only playing Age of Conan (yes there are a handful of of us that actually play this game) and CoD:MW2, but i can run both on max settings with no issue with 2 of these crossfired. i had troubles downloading the latest drivers, not certain if it was me(most probably) or the cards. i had to uninstall all factors ATI on my Pc run drive sweeper and then set up the newest drivers to get them to take.element of this could be i'm utilised to nvidia cards and just didn't know what i was performing. i come across the appear of these cards somewhat ridiculous but i truly could care less as it's inside my case and could care much less about the looks, but if your into that i believed i'd let you know.also this is actually nit picky, but i appreciate putting the item stickers on the front of my case for all the components in my Computer and no stickers came with this card so i was pretty bummed.

Operates good! Like that batman search to the card. Once installed with my other XFX5770 I saw a big improve in efficiency. I purchased this from another web site, but decided to do a evaluation right here seeing how it was obtaining such a low review for no reason at all. UPDATE YOUR DRIVERS Men and women! NONE! If you had Nvidia cards in the previous make sure you uninstall all Nvidia computer software and drivers prior to putting in an ATI card. Download newest version of drivers from ATI's wesite. I'm employing a beta 10.two CCC and a lot of points have been fixed. The ten.1 does have some problems, but not as bad as individuals make it out to be. The Grey screen challenge in ten.1 is now fixed in beta 10.2. Cheers!

This card is a wonderful deal. It runs each game I've attempted so far on max settings. (I.e. Splinter Cell Conviction, Just Trigger two, and Bioshock 2) The graphics are breathtaking! I didn't use the cds for the drivers, I downloaded them straight from the ATI web site and have had no troubles. I love this card. I don't like that the card requires up two slots, that seems extremely inconvenient, but I can't dock any eggs since I knew just before I purchased it. Fantastic card and I would buy it once more.

-Runs 10C cooler at idle and 15-20C beneath load than evaluations of the standard 5770 cards.-Good Value compared to other 5770s at present. -The plastic shroud/cooler appears somewhat silly and pointless, and feels fragile, but the temp outcomes sort of show different.-The fan has generally been operating at 35%, but even at 20% I can inform it's the loudest fan in my case however. I've got 2 Silent9 Gelids and a Antec 120 I had some odd difficulty fitting the card in my case, the tabs on the outer frame wouldn't attach onto the outside of the case, I had to just leave them in, seems sturdy adequate even though.

Card performs and overclocks nicely. Fits effectively in smaller circumstances. It didn't go previous 85*C when benched in my Antec 900. Excellent card for the sale price. OC'ed to 940񳄢 stable. The cooler and shroud look odd. No voltage manage like a reference card and some ATI manufactured cards. Card doesn't run as awesome as some of the far more pricey 5770's. Only one particular CF connector on board edge may deter some purchasers. (no Tri-fire) Not dinging card for individuals attributes although buyer should do homework if they want to overclock previous 1GHz on core. Two of these cards in CrossFire can push a 30" 2560x1600 and a 22񓚰x1050 monitor well if you are on a spending budget. Two slot configuration is excellent for standard ATX CF/SLI motherboards as opposed to Powercolor PCS+ 5770 card. Did not attempt Eyefinity. You could devote additional on a 5770 with a superior cooler or a reference card (when it's not on sale).

Superb Card for the funds, amazing graphics for the value, a single of only two cost-effective really capable cards in this cost group, ATI 5770 or Nvidia 9800 GTX+(Now known as the 260 remarketed) each relatively equal all else thought of but the 5770 runs cooler and far quieter with less energy consumption and has better film playback with easy adjustment and onboard HDMI for Bluray! This card was utilised for a custom built HTPC with Moderate Video Game Playback(which it actally turns of excellent specs for most top finish games respectably)! Gigabyte genuinely practically nothing to add right here as they have often been 1 of the most reputable Co.'s i have built hardware with for many years now! Could be a touch cheaper now that we are heavily in the 256bit planet of VGA's! It is coming down slowly although!

This card operates excellent. I have had no troubles with crashes or GSOD. The temps are good also. Idle temp in a tsunami dream case is 38c, max temp running furmark & OCCT for an hour with overclock is 85c. ( fan speed only at 60% ) I had no problems overclocking this card to 960 core and 1400 memory. Gigabyte claims to use greater quality elements on this card and i think it shows. None If your looking for a 5000 series card with out spending a ton of income this is the card to get. Two of these in crossfire operating beat out a 5850 and in some games a 5870.

Quite stable card; has no dilemma running the Final Fantasy 14 benchmark and scoring on high res. setting (running Lynnfield i7 @ 2.8GHzǚGb Ram) and on low res. I recommend purchasing a mobo with a larger spacing between PCIe x16 slots considering that the card is kind of "thick". This will let you to run two in crossfireX without the overheating issue (the MSI P55-GD80 operates fantastic). Slightly thick for a video card of this ratingLooks like the batmobile

None until a BIOS repair is released. New drivers can't do the trick due to the fact it fails before you can even get them installed. This card suffers from the infamous gray screen of death dilemma that all or most ATI 5000 series cards have. It is completely unstable and freezes/crashes continually and randomly. Google search "ATI gray screen" and you'll get a lot more than you wanted to know. I would like to like this video card and ATI, but in 4 days of trying to get it to operate, I have been unable to get beyond installing Windows and beginning to install a game to test it on. I has locked up every single time at some point in the Windows install or installing a game. It freezes attempting to watch a DVD. It is entirely useless...till they release a new BIOS for it...if even that can repair it.

Can't beat this card for quality/value, I waited so lengthy to buy a graphics card, this 1 went on sale and I went for it and I'm positive glad I did. It's a solid performer on anything I throw at it, In Dirt 2 I have all the settings on High and I get a 50 FPS average on the benchmark. I notice some incredibly tiny jumps/frame skips on quick action high res games but thats to be expected since this isn't a super high finish card but then once more compare this 贶 ish price tag to the 軸 most current card (HD 5970) and you actually get the finest value for the income, you could obtain two and Crossfire them and your nevertheless at half the value. This isn't a con though, It's just the fact that it's not the most up-to-date chipset, Gigabyte did an excellent job on their portion. It's quit, the fan is a little loud from time to time when you have a graphically demanding game on for a though but it's just doing it's job. the card runs steady and cool, have not had any troubles with blue/grey screens at all! Make confident you have the latest drivers and the most recent catalyst installed off the ATI website (currently ten.three) and this card won't let you down.Oh yeah and make certain your power supply has enough juice, my 450 watt blew on me after installing this (though it was a affordable no name brand) so I would recommend having at least a 600 watt, may well as nicely get a 700 or 1000 watt if you ever program on acquiring two of these for crossfire. The Apevia 700 watt is a actually fantastic PSU.

I heard the few horror stories about the 5000 Series cards, but it appears like I got the luck of the draw. It runs fantastic, played Mass Impact two and Fallout three at 1920x1080 with Max Settings and it didn't miss a beat. The fan on it isn't that loud either, but it is inside my Antec 1200 case so its kinda tough to tell. None so far.
