I originally got this for a friend to connect his computer to his tv. Then for the 20 bucks I decided to put one in my htpc and crossfire it with my apu. Worked great. Plays games butter smooth at some decent settings. It's not gonna play bf3 on ultra but plays all the games I want on my tv at very playable fps. Well worth the 20 bucks. If the mir comes in lol |

For the price this thing does it's job well. I don't have a moniter that can handle 1080p so I decided I'll get this until after I get a proper moniter. |

Pros: Quiet, low wattage, much faster than 5450, good fps in MassEffect2 at 1920x1080. Comment:
Had it for 3 weeks and it was able to handle everything I demanded from it, including seamless fps from games like Alpha Protocol and Borderlands at 1080. Quiet and low wattage, as it is passively cooled. Why spend one dime more on extras when this one fits the bill? I didn't even have to reduce the video options in Borderlands to get good fps at 1080. Very happy with it. Well, I was happy with my old 5450 before this one, so there you have it. |

I purchased this for an HTPC I built. It was an experiment really as I wasn't sure how well it would run. I am happy to report it plays 1080p video rather flawlessly. The audio it outputs through HDMI was surprising as well as it sounds great and is nice and loud. I would not recommend gaming with this card however I loaded my HTPC up with NES and SNES Rome and it of course has no problems what so ever ripping through those. The fan has stayed quiet and in a relatively small HTPC case the card never breaks over 50C as well as the usage is quite low. If you are on the fence with the limited VRAM, the 1GB model is only about $3 more than this one at the time of this review. I only purchased this one because it was in stock. I have this coupled with a 3.0GHz AMD dual core and I am very happy with it's performance and would recommend it to anyone. |
obtained this as part of a budget build desktop, no gaming but basic internet, email, work tasks with the occ dvd/bray/hd movie onscreen. During the build process, I was trying to choose between an FX proc vs an APU. Decided to get the FX4100 and a basic mobo which was really lacking on the IGP part. To make the build at least on par with the onboard 6550D on an APU, I needed a 5450 or a 6450. This model was onsale for $20 after rebate (similar to the 5450's) so this became my obvious choice. Generally happy so far with the build, Card is relatively quiet. If you need to install this on a low profile case (such as an htpc), note that the low profile bracket deletes the d-sub/vga connector.
