It works. Retain reading. I practically RMAd it given that it did not turn on the first time I plugged it into my mobo. Lengthy story brief I guess that it was my fault considering that it works fine now. Got it with a G-byte UD5 mobo, perfect pair. Played planet at war fine, but will need a most current edition game to test DX11 (that is my excuse anyway). P.S. make confident that you obtain ALL of you elements at the identical time or be certain that you can use it correct away, just in case if anything doesn't work, you can locate out inside you RMA period.

Quiet, Cool, Very easily Overclockable, Fast None This replaces a GTX 260 SSC Edition and this card easily outperforms the 260. Got 2,000 additional points in 3DMark06 with this card. As with other people, maxed out the OC in Catalyst Handle Center to 875 core and 1200 memory, and completely steady.

Had Gigabyte 6600GT twin GPU in my old gamer tower in 05 and switched to an XFX 220GT final year for my HP that died. the 220 died last night soon after only 4 days of new build and now I am Gigabyte forever and I will by no means obtain a Nvidia primarily based card ever again or XFX goods. This card is just as potent as the XFX 6850 BE and the Sapphire Toxic and it comes at the identical price tag as most stock 6850s. As the other guy just stated has fundamentally the similar cooler as the normal card but I am considering its a touch greater. Will give full assessment when I get the card since just ordered. Haven't received card but will post if any. Only con I can see is its not the 6900 series The card on paper is good and I really like the way almost everything appears on the business net internet site but only when I use the card will I have more to say. I was going to buy a Sapphire but sold out and... they cost additional seriously ten bucks additional for HDMI cable and OC I only payed 7 bucks much more for HDMI

Sharp, clear graphics. Handles something I throw at it: MW2, Black Ops, Crysis, Resident Evil, AVP. This card was uncomplicated to set up devoid of any difficulties in my Cooler Master Centurion case. Runs incredibly effectively in 1920x1080 with highest settings. Awesome!!! Does not come with a DVI cable. I wanted this card since it is quiet and runs cool. I can't truly hear the fans in contrast to my earlier video card 񢦊). Now all I want are some new case fans and to upgrade my Phenom 9500몚 chipset.

-Overclocks properly beyond its factory overclock. Maxed it out in ATI Catalyst Control Center. Need to get a 3rd celebration program to push it farther.-Fantastic cooling potential. With max OC permitted in ATI Catalyst Center and an hour of gaming it in no way went above 51C!-Runs most of my games in Ultra mode at 1920x1080. Does every thing at high gfx settings.-Lower power usage and single PCI-E energy connector is a plus-Can't hear it more than my case fans at 50% fan speed and my case fans are all at medium speed as properly. -Gets a little loud at 100% fan speed. Nevertheless, due to its excellent cooling it has under no circumstances reached this speed on auto, even soon after four hours of strong gaming. Only hit one hundred% when I put the fans in manual control to play about.-No case badge included-Doesn't consist of a cross-fire connector. Has to be bought separately. Quite impressed with this card. The OC potential is fantastic and lets me attain 6870 class performance. Preparing on obtaining a second card for CrossFireX setup in the close to future. Two of these will beat a Radeon 6970 or GeForce 570 hands down and for about the similar money.Laptop:AMD Phenom II X4 955 BlackGigabyte Radeon 6850 1Gb OCSeasonic X750 Modular 80+ Gold PSUAntec Nine Hundred Two V3 Case

Fantastic mid level card, reasonably quiet, plays all modern day titles well at 1650x1080 with some FSAA and AF and 1920x1200 with no FSAA and AF.Crossfire is a blast and easily runs more rapidly than new gen 6970 and GTX 570맜..... None. I did not obtain this from Newegg. Message for Ryan, in your overview you mention that you have a higher understanding of technologies and however you mention at how disappointed you are that the card is not DX 11 compatible!!!This is misleading to men and women who are thinking of purchasing this card. Of course it is DX 11 prepared....dur..... I have no idea what you are thinking.....

Effective card for the value! Runs games (Metro 2033, Crysis) on High+ easily with my setup and 1680x1050 monitor. I notice a small fan hum when gaming but it is a non-concern actually. I believe I largely notice it mainly because my old video card was near silent (as is are my other case fans). None genuinely. ATI acquiring a bit superior with drivers it appears, regardless I haven't had any crashes or issues so far after a month. So far I am incredibly happy with the card!

This card is good! i have had no problems so far. there are no cons that i can consider of. This card is seriously good but Newegg did not give me the right information. 1 issue that i can feel of that newegg could do is that they could put more info about the needs for the card such as the watts of energy that are necessary.

I like the extra copper Gigabyte puts in their MOBOs so when I saw this card capabilities that I went for it. I also like the factory overclock mainly because I don't fool with overclocking a lot. I liked the card so considerably I got a 2nd to Crossfire soon after reading testimonials exactly where the 6850s scale properly and genuinely like the functionality in my racing sims. None.

Really quiet and cool compared to my 4870 and 4870X2. Colors are far more vivid for gaming. Frame rates are considerably better than my 4870 and not also far behind my 4870X2. Not a SOC model with the copper heatsink and fan assembly.

DOA so no pros. There was no damage that I could see. GPU-Z recognized the barts core but the card would only function at one hundred mHz and was only recognized as regular VGA adapter. Catalyst drivers would not recognize the card in the course of driver installation Sadly this card came DOA. I purchase a lot of Gigabyte items and this is the initially one particular that I have received DOA. Not certain if it was isolated or not but i was arranging on Xfiring these anyway so I returned it for refund and purchased two sapphire 6850's and got a 50 dollar gift card to boot, so its all very good. Hopefully that will go much better. Newegg was excellent to deal with in this method (first in various years of performing business with them) Kudos to them an 5 eggs for their work.

Dual fans make for some really very good cooling. Temperatures max out @ 54C on Black Ops maxed 1080p and 62-64C on Crysis on higher, 8xaa, 16xaf and 1080p. Pretty effective! Effectively, can't get it to function effectively at 875񳂠 without voltage tweaks. Will appear a lot more into that later on, but it's not actually a con given that the card doesn't have to overclock simply.

No sounds, no odor, no graphical glitches prior to failure. It's as if the card has no power. RMA'd and awaiting replacement. I will update my star rating soon after testing the replacement.

Excellent card when it functions, low heat, low power, high graphics. Theoretically excellent for the income :( This is the second HD6850 I've ordered to have challenging crashes throughout games or benchmark tests. It can be solved only by lowering mem bus under 900MHz. The AMD/ATI tech forums are full of individuals with similar issue for 6850's. Regardless of manufacturer - it's undoubtedly an architecture defect, not just a random undesirable card off the production line. AMD hasn't acknowledged the problem but officially, but you can see even on Newegg, several brands have discontinued older lines of 6850's and put in new item numbers for identical cards to isolate the response from buyers. I give two eggs for superb service and RMA time from Newegg. I'd recommend avoiding the 6850 series and going 6870 or GTX460륮 for similar price tag and functionality with no the hassle of poor architecture.

Potent, low-cost, single 6pin-ATX. Good upgrade from the 4850. Will possibly crossfire with another when I get a new PSU. Can almost max Poor Organization 2 at max settings, 1080p. Fans had been surprisingly loud initially. A aspect of the casing was creating contact with the blades, a speedy squeeze and a light snapping sound and everything was perfect. Possibly my own fault when installing. Fans still make decent noise at one hundred%, not for silent builds. Note to all HD5000񴍠 series card purchasers: Eyefinity demands all monitors to be the very same resolution. I also can't get centered timings to function for my 23" 16ɍ (in eyefinity) so I can't line the 19" fiveɈ monitors up on the black bars. Just a consideration I want I'd identified when purchasing. This card has a good price tag functionality ratio for those who don't want to bother with overclocking. Also bought with a trial with the new shipping method. Purchased Saturday, didn't arrive until Wednesday. two day shipping, right. It did make the journey from California to Maine by air though, so the box was in pristine condition. Fairly uncommon for those cross country journeys (which typically end up in damaged products.A different note: Packaging was excellent, loads of packing peanuts in an over sized box.

This card is quite substantially like what other people say bang for the buck. runs everything.......WHEN it runs. fan isn't also loud Card is poor crashes every game/benchmark i throw at it, definite RMA. Don't even get any 6850, i say go for 6870. i place in a cheapo 4350 and almost everything functions. wasting my time waiting now... plus newegg didn't cross ship for me. study under for my circumstance>i believe this card has a undesirable hardware design and style, go search online for 6850 freeze/crash/lockup. my laptop was constructed new with the specs from under. all my drivers/bios had been up to date. no OC on something, ran prime95 6hrs on each blend and small batch, no crashes, ran memtest+ 4.two for 9hrs each and every on both dimms and single no errors. win7 was a clean install. BUT.......when i run WoW, Crysis, 3dmark11 it crashes within a couple of min. full method lockout or a crash and recover flicker if i run them in windowed mode. HEAT is not an issue, monitored GPU and CPU temps in no way exceed 45C. I have tried multiple graphic drivers from 10.12 to 11.2(latest) [used driver sweep] very same concerns. i have attempted to underclock the card, absolutely nothing. Program specs:Asus p7p55d-e pro bios 1602Seasonic x-series gold 650Wg.talent ddr3 1600 2x4GBocz vertex two 60gbcorsair h50antec 900*MSI HD 4350 operating like a champ, compared to the 6850 tho much decrease fps in games.

Same as last post except I just got it in right now Properly its bigger than I thought it nearly doesn't fit my Thermaltake V6 it just clears the HDD bay. The only other con is the drivers we have to wait for Catalyst 10.12 for these cards to actually show off its the 1 factor most reviewers on youtube are not taking not of so I contact all the benchmarks that have been released so far a fowl simply because we are on modified 58XX drivers proper now that AMD even admits on the web-site are not going to take advantage of the cards full possible. Properly so far so fantastic for my very first Radeon card with my new Hanns-G 24" ྷ.six" viewable) monitor with HDMI in 1920X1080 this thing truly packs a punch haven't ran significantly however as its the first day been costing it most of the day. I plan on playing Bad corporation 2 on it later on today could even go get Crysis and give it a run given that I finally have a machine that can run it.

The fans are practically silent, even though they run at 50% most of the time. I can't differentiate them from the other fans in my case. I got this largely with the goal of silent gaming and I'm more than happy.I don't play any graphically intensive games, but the fan speed and temperature barely changed even though playing Portal and Half-Life two with max settings. Temperature stayed around 45C.Gigabyte packages the card actually properly and clearly put effort into the box layout. Not necessarily a surprise, but I was impressed nonetheless. My case is well ventilated, but I suppose the stacking of the DVI ports on the back of the card prevents airflow from totally going out the back of the case. Hot air will inevitably end up dissipating into the case, which could pose some difficulties for poorly ventilated circumstances. The card is also reasonably long, specially with the energy connector on the rear, but it doesn't pose any issues for my specific case. As usually, do your analysis ahead of obtaining. I couldn't be happier with this card. It's silent and runs extremely cool, and I like the dual-fan setup each in look and function.I upgraded from an XFX 4770, which sounded like a jet engine when I first began/woke my laptop and whenever I ran games. This runs much faster and quieter, and supports many new (to me) functions such as Eyefinity. Two generations of graphics cards later sports a lot of improvement. I'm sure most of the 6800 series cards fit this description, but it was the dual-fans and slight more than-clock that won me over to this card. As a side note, the colors go properly with my motherboard. This is my initially Gigabyte product and I'm very pleased.
