Cons: -Some ghosting-Colours aren't as accurate as IPS panels in the same price range

Pros: -Good colour and contrast-Deep blacks-Sleek design-Easy to setup-HDMI and DVI inputs
Comment:
Pretty good monitor so far. The overall picture quality looks better than my LG AH-IPS panel. Besides the colours not being quite as accurate, there is more "pop" to them and the contrast and black levels are a lot better. There's a hint of backlight glow on the right side but nearly as much as IPS (at least the IPS monitors I've used). It's just better for handling dark scenes which are quite common in games. Only downside is the ghosting which is not really that bad. May be more of an issue for some depending on how sensitive your eyes are to it, or what your expectations are from previous displays. Setting the AMA setting to "Premium" does help but it is still noticeable. This is a fair trade off given the high contrast ratio and black levels, in my opinion. I would recommend this monitor for the price range, however ideally I would suggest spending more money to get a display that is just higher quality overall.

Cons: Poor quality control, only ships with VGA cable

Pros: Good value, nice contrast and colors, low input lag
Comment:
I went through 3 of these monitors before I got one with any defects. The first one had a dead pixel smack in the middle of the screen. Once you see that you cannot unsee it. The replacement monitor had a vertical line of stuck blue pixels right down the middle (essentially unusable). The third one had no pixel issues. Shipping the monitor back and forth all those times was immensely frustrating. I'd recommend the express coverage if you're buying this monitor so you can get a new one if there's any problems. The monitor itself is a good value. A nice alternative to IPS with better blacks and contrast with most of the viewing angle benefits. There is a bit of ghosting like all VA panels but the input lag was very low. The stand is very basic but what can you expect for a monitor at this value price. Just... get the express coverage.Another thing is it needs calibration to put out the best image. You can find ICC profiles and suggested settings on the web if you don't have a calibration device.

Cons: Pixel Density is low, but not a deal breaker!

Pros: Viewing angles, colour reproduction
Comment:
This monitor is FANTASTIC! The viewing angle are perfect horizontal and vertical. This monitor does exactly what we need it to, display media that is duplicated on a projector. This is a tremendous bang-for-the-buck. It preforms like a high end monitor. I could not be happier with this purchase!

Cons: None

Pros: Upgrade from a size 24" monitor. Good color (natural), good resolution (not showing fuzz on text even with 135% setting). A great monitor for the price.
Comment:
I own BenQ 24" and 27" monitors. Both are great. This one has the larger size advantage. Good for watching news videos at a distance while exercise on gym machine. Shows no distortion viewing at close up.

Cons: 1080p at 27in does start to show on textOSD is cumbersomeGhosting (Typical for VA)

Pros: Beautiful color reproductionExcellent viewing anglesThin BezelDeep blacksPerfect semi-gloss AG coating
Comment:
First impressions were excellent, I did a viewing angle angle test, nothing shifted. I watched a sample of Need for Speed (movie) and it was amazing. Checked out some 1080p youtube videos and that was great as well. 5/5.It quickly became apparent that 1920x1080 at a 27" isn't a good enough pixel/inch ratio for reading text. It's basically just a stretched out image, what looks great on a 23.6" at 1080p looks blown up on a 27". I would recommend a 2560x1440 resolution at 27" for productivity purposes. The ghosting was noticeable but not bothersome when I scrolled webpages, I fired up a video game to check and ghosting was present as well, it wasn't a deal breaker.TFTCentral has a review with their calibration settings. The low px/inch ratio was the deal breaker and had to return it, but at $200, this is a beautiful monitor.5/5 for multimedia4/5 for gaming3/5 for productivity This review was modfied by poster @ 10-06-14 02:36 AM
