Installed easily into Windows 7. I only use it for sending faxes and it does what it is supposed to do without hassles. |

I bought the modem because of it being 64 bit, and it was an Agere (Lucent) chipset. They are in my opinion among the best. Perhaps there was something to do with my PC that I could not get the item to function upto to my expectations. I pulled an older modem from my collection and my PC responded up to its max. The older modem was also of an Agere (Lucent)chipset. The older modem was previously used in a 32 bit system. If other customers had no such problems with the item being reviewed, then I can attribut my problems with the said product as to be within the functioning of my own PC. |

Using this modem with Windows 7 (x64). Modem would not work with driver that came with Windows7 and the driver for Win7 was not on CD in package. Had to get driver from Hiro site. Works great now. |

I built my own computer and never needed a modem until I wanted to use PhoneTrayFree(for its caller I.D. functions). I had a few modems laying around and none of them worked with Windows 7 64-bit. I bought this model Hiro modem, popped it in, downloaded latest drivers and now I have greatest caller I.D. imaginable. Caller number pops up on monitor with a voice announcing caller and choice of many ringers (or you can add your own ringers). Throw away that old-fashion caller I.D.! |

Ordered this modem with my new win 7 computer. Never could get it to work and my ISP worked with me a long time before we found out it was this modem not working. I returned it for a better Hiro modem and it did the same thing. Sent that one back and got a US Robotics modem, plugged it in and has been working great ever since. Hiro just isn't for me. Time wasted for me messing with this brand of modem. Won't ever buy this brand again but will always go US Robitics. I've used Robitics for years but thought I'd try something new. Big mistake. |

A little tricky loading the software for windows 7. Took a few times of the internet kicking off before I realized it changed the settings for the connection to allow dialing. Other than that, pretty much plug and play so to speak. Only using it for faxing purposes though. |

Windows 7 didn't even need the software. Just install the modem, turn on the computer and the in about three minutes, you get a notice that it's working -- and it wasd. |

Works perfectly fine in windows XP. I did not install the software, just the drivers, so I don't know if the software that comes with it is any good... |

Using it to send faxes from the built-in Fax Services in Windows 7 Professional 64-bit edition. Windows 7 loaded drivers without the need for the supplied CD. Works flawlessly with Windows fax services. Does the job nicely! |

The software kept answering the phone on the second ring even tho I set it not to answer at all and tried to set to answer on the 6th ring. Got a funny sounding message on the line that no one could understand. |

Bought for an Off Lease IBM M50 8187 Think Center that only had a network card. XP recognized it right away and I had no problems with installation of modem or communications software that came with it. Recommend this great value for money product. |

modem was perfect for the price. Worked as well as any other modem that I have used in the past. No problems with Windows XP. However, it would not work with VISTA. |

After I had installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OS, I got the message in the device manager that my U.S. Robotics fax modem was not compatible. When I logged onto TigerDirect, I read the good reviews on this modem and it's compatibility with my new OS. Sure enough, It installed without a hitch and transmitted my faxed data right off the bat. Thanks! |

Works as good and more expensive cards. I repair and build systems for a living and when building I like to use slot devices in lieu of motherboard hardware installed on the boards. Usually I sell USB Modems to save customers money on installation, but this little modem works well and is a great alternative. |
Price was right,Equipment Great worked on my system right out of the box with my answering program,
