Cons: None really - maybe could be a bit cheaper :)

Pros: Nice form factor. Sensitive sensor.
Comment:
I bought it because I wanted the sensor and not to use as a webcam but did try it out and it seems like a nice webcam, Good quality images, autofocus seems to work without a lot of hunting, good for low-light.

I've been using this webcam for a few months now and really enjoy it. It works without any problems. The price seems a little steep but I definitely don't regret my purchase.Video quality is really good. Sound quality is also good.

Cons: -auto focus can get annoying due to its slowness

Pros: -interesting software-facial detection-wide angle, 73 degree as oppose to the common 67 degree
Comment:
It works fine out of the box, software installs automatically on both 32 and 64 bit Windows 7. 360 degree rotatable about the horizontal. About 30 degree rotatable about the vertical. Autofocus can get annoying because it can be slow sometimes. Like the long usb cable, about 1.7m. Can price match to about $55.

Cons: - Buggy software, lots of gimmicks which slows down the video, can't full screen in lifecam software.- Clip is not big enough, my 24" monitor is too thick to fix it on top.

Pros: - Compact size
Comment:
Can't say this webcam is worth the regular $80, probably not even worth $60 when it goes on sale. Both the software and the hardware need improvements. Video quality is just okay.

Cons: Auto Focus isn't up to par

Pros: Clear video, Mic works with the MS software, flip-out stand attaches to any monitor/TV, works with Skype
Comment:
I purchased 8 of these web cams for our offices in order to be able to host video conferences. The video these cameras produce look nice. The microphone works well. The camera also works well with Skype. Just go in and change the audio and video settings to point to the camera. The auto-focus should be disabled (as other users have pointed out), but other than that, it's a good purchase.

Cons: updates ruins itsoftware is junkisn't 30 fpsautofocus is useless since it doesn't really work

Pros: 720pgreat microphoneSmalllooks good
Comment:
I make a lot of videos but was only using my laptop's webcam. Moving your laptop arround to get the right angle isn't that great and I bought a monitor so my laptop stays closed (so no more cam) so I bought this one thinking it would be a good thing. When I received it, it was just a random box with the camera in a small bag in it, nothing more, no softwares or manuals ; not even the microsoft's box. I tried it, was pretty good except the autofocus was annoying as hell since the only thing it does is blurring the image. Thinking it would be a good thing, I updated the firmware and the software -> Worse thing to do. Now the camera works at like 15 fps only. But, I must say the image looks good and the sound quality really surpised me. But, I did a video afterwards of an unboxing and the microphone stopped working after like 1-2 minutes and restarted maybe 4 minutes after and my voice was distorted. It was in a 8 minutes video. I didn't really check it out after, but really what I can say is plug it, restart your computer and leave it like that. My laptop's camera gets like 5 fps in its software but with sony vegas it works with 30 fps. I tried with this camera and any software looks pretty much the same -> the firmware screw it I think. I'll give it 4 stars, but after updating I would give 2 stars.

Cons: Autofocus is garbage, 40c electronics recycling fee BS.

Pros: Reasonable resolution makes up for grainy picture
Comment:
Autofocus - what junk. It will sit there with the entire frame in focus, then randomly decide to try and auto-focus, making the picture blurry and unuseable for 3-4 seconds. The only time I've ever seen the camera not in focus, is when it's doing the autofocus, which it likes to do rather frequently.Otherwise the camera works okay. Resolution of 720p makes up for the cheap CCD that puts out grainy images even in bright light. (Quantity over Quality) Expected and typical of a cheap digital camera device. For a webcam, it meets basic needs.

Cons: Tad pricy but it's hey it's hd. Auto zoom to the face but could be disabled.

Pros: High definition. Runs smoothly. Nice built in mic. Unique design.
Comment:
Ive had this webcam for 2 months now and I still love it. I use it mainly for skype and my friends love the quality of the video the webcam presents. The webcam has a built in mic and the quality of the sound is "like as if I'm right there beside my friends talking into their ears." The webcam runs smoothly throughout the hours of chatting. The cylinder shape of this webcam definitely gives it a nice and unique look. The colour of the webcam is primarily black with a silver right at the tip - will match the colour of most mainstream laptops. The webcam holdster is very easy to clip onto thee screen of laptops and is easily adjustable. The webcam could swivel left and right and also a minimal movements up and down. The USB cable is plenty in length and has a clip to hold excess cables from the webcam. The webcam comes with the product and an installation cd which was extremely easy to install. Total time of installation took about 5 to 10 mins. In the end, I highly recommend this webcam to anyone who plans to video chat regularily. This webcam is also great for taking pictures and I almost forgot to mention that the program that comes with the lifecam has face effects which is tonnes of fun! The only two issues I have with this webcam Is the price and the webcam holster. I bought it when it was 59.99 but if your not in a hurry wait for the great deals on this webcam at Ncix. I tend to go room to room with my laptop when I webcam and I notice that the webcam tips over when I relocate but doesn't fall on the keyboard it just hangs there. These are just minor issues and it would not prevent me from returning this lifecam by Microsoft.

Cons: Bundle program is meh (but you do NOT need it to use webcam), Auto-Focus will often flash (you might want to disable it)

Pros: High image quality, 720p, camera stand is very useful (bend it and it will keep it's shape), drivers-less (on Win7), Auto-Focus (beware, see weeknesses), compatible with almost all webcam programs (DirectShow), very small (picture is misleading!), colors are (for a webcam) quite stunning.
Comment:
Great webcam! I got this one to see if webcam were still giving low-quality images like early generations. I was definetly wrong - at least with this particular webcam. Picture quality is very good, FPS are always smooth (assuming you always have proper lighting). Try to be in a well-lit room, it will only help video quality (avoid dark rooms at night, but then don't blame it on the webcam).I've been using it with VirtualDub for capturing videos in many ways, it works perfectly well.

This is a great webcam with high definition 720p.It was very easy to plug in and install, a child could do it.I'm satisfied with it.Only downside, for a webcam of this price, I would have liked if you could set zoom on it.

i've had to go through a different webcam every time a new OS was released because creative/logitec decides to drop  support, from now on i'll try to stick with M$. win7 ultimate detected this cam right away, other reviewers say you don't have to install the software but i did it anyways and the lifecam software isn't too bad! it can even give you digital hats and stuff on your videos very fun.

Cons: Lack of lens cap (minor point)

Pros: Video quality and microphone
Comment:
This webcam came as advertized: 720p video resolution with auto-focus. I bought it solely for Skype but one can also use it to make self YouTube videos or with MSN Messenger. It is my understanding that Skype doesn't allow for 720p broadcast  but MSN does. Lastly, I would have preferred a lens cap (imbedded or external) but that's a minor compliant. The camera mounts well on an LCD (read: thin profile) monitor and can rotate in two dimensions (up/down and left/right).Even at regular price it's a decent value.

I bought this so i can chat with my friends, as she moving far away. The quality of HD video is ok, as its limited to the USB 2.0 speeds. The video can be a little grainy at times. The auto focus, is very unstable and will constantly try to focus. most times. To get any decent video, lighting need to be bright and clear. Indoor lighting makes the video look orange. This review was modfied by poster @ 08-11-10 10:39 AM

Cons: Stand can be annoying and unreliable

Pros: Excellent Picture QualitySolid buildGood microphone
Comment:
When I first hooked this baby up, I was shocked at how good the video quality was. I saw some video on the web from this camera, but after switching from an older, non-HD webcam, the difference was HUGE. Of course, this quality isn't exactly reflected in programs like Skype with only 640x480, but the quality is still well above a non HD camera even at low resolutions. This camera also handles low light situations quite well, with far less noise than my old webcam. The only downside for me is the stand, which is an annoying flap of rubber that doesn't seem to do anything. In theory it should hook onto the top of your LCD monitor, with the 'flap' running across the top and down the back of your monitor. In practice, the stand just serves to precariously balance the camera on top of your LCD, where it can be easily knocked down by any movement of the panel. I have rather thick, large LCD monitors, however, so perhaps a smaller panel size (

Pros: Unsurpassed quality of optics in this price range. Stylish, great mounting bracket.
Comment:
Primarily purchased for use on Skype, most of my contacts were stunned by the image quality even at Skype's resolution of 640x480. Certainly the claims about the optics are true, and the auto focus is pin sharp. Low light handling is also above average. Setting up was a breeze under Windows 7 and the latest drivers were automatically grabbed and installed.I have started to use the cam for recording commentaries for 'Picture in Picture' video productions, and the 720p is plenty good enough for HD movies.
