An outstanding bargain for the price! Easy to install. Give you everything you need to enable your old HD as an external. Don't pay for something additional that you can't or will never use. |

It still works. Who knows how it will work in the future? But it is OK so far. |

great for the price. plenty sturdy. cooling is OK. the screws for the faceplate are too small though (if you drop the you will need luck to find them)other than that a solid product |

Ordered 2 units. Both worked well with 1.5 TB drives. Aluminum housing with green drive seems to be reasonably cool. Formatted with no problems on a Mac. Hard to beat the price for an aluminum housing. Using them for video storage and playback. One unit died after a few days. Drive continued to work fine in another enclosure. RMA'd the unit. Return shipping cost is almost not worth it for a $15 item. |

You get what you pay for. Noisy and after a few days the power connection (power plug in back) came loose. Had to go and buy a different product. Paid more, got quality and are happy. |

Bought 5 of these intending to put some existing drives into the enclosures and hang them off a USB hub connected to a server to use for backup. Turns out that the electronics is so poor, it won't function through a hub. Another caveat I found is that you can't even format a drive in the enclosure. You have to format it prior to installing in the enclosure. Needless to say I returned them. |

I bought this because I had a Maxtor 500GB OneTouch 4 Lite hard drive that wouldn't power up. I was able to pull the hard drive out of it and install it in the Coolmax Enclosure for a quick fix. |

Works flawlessly. Case is sturdy but the screws holding the interface plate to the main body are small and hard for old hands to work with. |

It's cheap and it works like it's cheap. It will quit after it gets a little tired but just be patient, it will finish what it was doing eventually. For the money, it truly is the best value you can find. I wasn't looking to pay too much for an enclosure, and I'm not unsatisfied with what I got. it gets the job done! |

After I upgraded my system with a new 1 tb SATA drive I had my original 160 gb SATA left lying around, and wanted to do something with it. I thought about getting a USB to IDE SATA adaptor, but didn't really like the idea of just having the drive out on my desktop like that. Then I saw this enclosure. The price was definitely right! When I got it, I used it first to connect my new 1 tb drive since my other SATA channel was already in use. Worked great. Then I swapped the 1 tb and the 160 gb drives and both work great. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I did not notice any heat problems when I had the 1 tb drive in there, and definitely not with the current 160 gb. Sharp looking case, easy to setup and use, and works great. What more can you ask for $15? |

Worked great. I bought this for infrequent use. I do not know whether the cooling would be sufficient for always-on usage, since it does not have a cooling fan. In general, an excellent product. |
