Extremely sturdy building and attractive look. I hear you can only end up employing 2 of the three displays ports at a time, cant use all three. High priced at โ. look for cheaper. Drivers...wow. CCC Suite, anything catalyst is a discomfort and doesnt operate. My integrated hd 4200 does not work, shows boxes and lines and whatever else have you. got a discrete gpu ( this card) and drivers are just ehh.not sure what the problem is, havnt got to use this card at all. Its not the best gaming card, but will run WoW awesome which is additional cpu based, not gpu based. will run sc2 and most games out at typical settings, acquiring 30 fps average max. max 38 ish low setting 1024x768 and like 22-25 low/med setting 1280x1024. its nonetheless a decent card for 2 monitors and moderate gaming.

I purchased the HIS 5450 for my AMD X2 black edition with 4GB ram running Ubuntu (linux). Was extremely content with that card as it's 1 of the few silent (passively cooled) selections, and never had something I couldn't do with that card (besides playing Crysis on high). My friend necessary an HDMI out. I told him purchasing an cost-effective card wouldn't be too substantially more high priced then buying a DVI to HDMI cable or converter plugs which are massive rip offs. It would also cost-free up some ram. So he got this XFX as it's only one of two 5450 models (the other getting made by HIS) to be silent. It's better value than my HIS with 512mb, this is 1gb. The heatsink is on both sides of the card (not just on the leading-side), and it's painted beautifully. Obtaining a card for the paintjob is stupid, but it was a pleasant surprise for such an affortable card to also look this cool.Doesn't make any noise, doesn't waste a low of power, runs 1080p, and plays games properly as extended as you don't go above 1024 or 1280 resolution. None that I've come across.Even though the heatsinks are on both sides the card maintains a low-profile. On the other hand in a HTPC scenario, you could have to get one where the heatsink is only on leading if you can't spare the extra quarter inch ƕ-10mm) Have no opinion on the XFX utilities/software. As linux uses Ati Catalyst, and we also use the universal ATI stuff (because it's a lot more recent) under Windows. The XFX software could be helpful for more than-clocking though.. But hardware wise this is superior than the HIS model.
