Cons: Nothing to says against this beast

Pros: Can run Bfbc2 Higher settings with easy, drop  to 60fps with lots of explosions

Over all, this is my first real VideoCard. I always used built it card. So this pointless to compare with what I already use. But really... Thumbs UP! Perfo: Way over what I really Expected!

Cons: This card is big! Package doesn't come with Dirt 2.

Pros: Fast, cool, quiet, good packaging, double lifetime warranty
Comment:
My previous video card was a grossly outdated Geforce 7800 GS (AGP!!!), so needless to say, this card is a huge improvement. Coming from an owner of two Nvidia cards, I made the switch to this ATI card for its lower cost , power efficiency, and excellent performance compared to the competing Geforce 480. While playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and other "current" generation games, the 5870 stays cool and quiet, and has no trouble maintaining high frame rate throughout the game. If you want high-end, and cost effectiveness (both in price and power savings), then this is the card for you.

Cons: Wish it didn't have a sticker (Similar to the ASUS model).

Pros: Quiet. Cool. Low power consumption. Sexy reference cooler. Well packaged.

It's been awhile since i've owned a XFX card (5500 FX), but when I decided to replace my 1GB 4870s (in crossfire) in favour of an eyefinity 5870 setup, I decided to go with XFX in my 5870 purchase. The unit is very well packaged. You get a great warranty. I am getting very close to the performance of two Sapphire 1GB HD4870s in Crossfire, so that just goes to show how great these cards are. Eyefinity is wonderful. I am hoping to purchase a second one right away so that I can blow any game out of the (oh so very realistic) water!

Upgraded to this from a Nvidia 8800 GTX so this thing was just amazing from the start. Handles everything at 1920x1200 resolution with everything maxed like a champ. I need a bigger monitor so I can justify having two of these in crossfire.

Cons: humm...none really.Measure up your case to make sure it fits. These cards are hard to find...buy quick when they're in stock.Doesn't come with a freebie game anymore.Doesn't seems to have a lot of OC potential.

Pros: Awesome card. Fits nicely in my Antec 300. Scores 4000 more 3Dmarks 06 than my GTX260 Core 216 superclocked. BFBC2 is gorgeous and smooth as silk on High settings in DX11. AvP in DX11 with tessellation is great looking! Stable and fast out-of-the-box.Performance really close to GTX480 for a lot cheaper and runs a lot cooler!
Comment:
Great card. It's my first ATI card in 6 years! I was a little afraid, but no issues whatsoever. I installed Catalyst 10.3 final and Ati Stream SDK.Box/packaging is really nice.Fits no problems in my Antec 300 with a 1/4" to spare!Runs a lot cooler, quieter, more power efficient and is $110 cheaper than a GTX480 for 10% less performance. No regrets, I cancelled my GTX470 pre-order to get one of these (after ready GTX 400-series reviews). It takes
Chap.

well its not cheap. for the price you can get a PS3 and then some. however, if pretty much screams and will play all games at max settings save a few such as cyrsis. It runs cool and quiet and has a lot of OC'ing head room. As always XFX is the best :) Enjoy your purchase!

I did a LOT of serious soul searching before buying this card. I had two GTS8800 in SLI (coupled with an I7-940 and 6GB (1600) and wasn't 'totally' satisfied with video performance, so I researched, would upgrading improve my situation? I tried the 5850 and that wasn't doing it, so I searched and found the card on here (and with the help of Bing Cashback) - made the 5870 real enticing. I bought it and have no regrets - For those of you it matters to - My Window Experience Index dropped from 6.4 to 6.0, but I still have better performance. Have Crysis maxed on Very High for all and it is smooth as silk. I wanted the 5970 but the price stopped me. I rated the Value at 4 stars simply due to my personal issue that graphics cards are generally overpriced for top of the line products - I'm very pleased with what I paid, but think top shelf cards should be $400 - Ron

Swapped my GTX295 out for this one for eyefinity and I was not disappointed. Amazingly smooth gameplay for the work this thing has to do! It also dropped my case temps by about 5 deg C. The only thing I'm not thrilled with is the catalyst control panel. Normal options are there, its just not intuitive imo. Other than that though, I'm pretty happy with the decision.

Cons: fan noise

Pros: Eye-Infinity, performance
Comment:
This card out performs every other card that I have had before without blinking. One issue though is the fan noise, anything above 40% and it sounds like a jet taking off but the card does not get that hot. So far its only hit 72c while at 35% fan speed so there are no problems there.

I am first to admit i am a NVIDIA fan -- I have always purchased NVIDIA products since the 3dfx line was shut down. I was disappointed that NVIDIA was slow on the update of new dx11 tech so I decided to give ATI a chance. I have not been disappointed. This card is able to run smoothly even in intense FPS situations. Given the fact that it was priced well lower than most places -- I decided this was a definite buy and I havent regretted it!

Very impressed with this card. I play most of the newer games, and they all run at max settings. This card is worth its cost, and I plan to buy another when prices go down. My CPU is now the bottleneck.

Cons: Too early to tell but heat is always an issue with multiple cards and is more of a case issue when it comes to a solution.

Pros: I use my machine to do distributed computing running Boinc and I installed 3 of these 5870's and it is beyond my expectations. I originally ordered a system with 2 5970's but the backorder was too long and ?i am not sorry about my decision, in fact ?I may grab one more but a vapor-x model I found for $475 somewhere else
Comment:
It lives up to the hype, it really is that much better than anything Nvidia has on the market but the 400's are just around the corner. They are progressing so fast that finding apps that can utilize the full capacity is getting harder and harder.

Unfortunately I did not had a very good experience with this video card,I have a Cool Master HAF, the red case, with a lot of huge fans, and I cannot play the games with the doors and windows closed. It is winter in the north east, with snow storms, and if I close the windows, and doors it would shutdown my computer when playing games, and indoors was not hot at all.

This card is huge, didn't fit in the case I bought it for, hence the 3 rating for features. It has only been in a few days and there is no doubt it is much faster than the 4 series card it replaced. It is quiet, screen refresh is fast and sharp. I run dual 21 in monitors in 1600 by 1200 resolution and it is great for my app

Cons: There was no Dirt 2 download coupon in my box :(. Included drivers caused intermittent grey & black freezes in Windows 7 - but the 10.1 and 10.2 drivers seem to have resolved these issues.

Pros: Excellent card - first time ever that I can crank my games up to full detail at 1920x1080 and still get 60+ fps! Have yet to hear the fan go "all out" (except when starting the computer).
Comment:
Excellent card - all my games look excellent now! Get the newest drivers though - otherwise you may get freezes.
