This drive is quick, quiet and cool. It was a major improvement more than the older IDE drives I had. None so far (other than it has gone on sale a time or two considering that I bought it). Utilised this drive as component of a rebuild of two old ƕ+ yrs) Acer mini-tower PCs. The drive took the reinstall of XP Pro just fine so that I could then install the Win7 HP upgrade on top rated of that. No issues formatting in XP nor installing the Win7 upgrade. All went fine. The 7200 RPM speed is a welcome improvement as is the SATA interface as compared to the older WD 5400 RPM drives it replaced. This drive enabled me to revive these old Acers to use as a property office machine for VPN'ing (is that a word?) into perform as well as a common objective machine for my father. The Acers were saved from the recycle bin for a bit longer. |

I have three of these drives on Raid0. Sisoft Sandra read score is avg 374MB/s and peaks above 450MB/s. I created the prime Sisoft one hundred chart competing against all types of SSD configurations. Have had a few blue screens but i blame it on my ram. |

Study all the evaluations as I rely heavily on those and went with this drive primarily based on that. I haven't built a computer in about 15 years so was a tiny nervous about the project. Heard I can use Jumpers to Force 150 this drive into Sata 1.5. Will try and update this assessment to see if you need to have a Sata three. compatible mobo, or if you can do it with a Sata 1.five mobo. This is the study I've completed so far..
