Cons: Huge! Not really a weakness, it looks sweet in my PC.

Pros: Lots of video options, one of the top cards bang-for-buck.

I cannot find any faults with this card, it's been great. Got it on a shipping deal (free shipping for entire order) so technically it only cost me around $100.

Pros: -Low power consumption-Best bang for buck

After being stuck with an Nvidia EVGA 285 GTX with 2 gigs and constantly plagued by an unfixable blackscreen crash, I decided to takea break from NVIDIA (Mind you i'm not bashing the card i had before that one, the EVGA 8800 GT was perfection). so i decided to try this one expecting to just get a spare replacement when i RMA the card it was replacing for the 4th time when it performs twice as good for nearly a third of its price with half the power consumption.I was completely blown away, infact i'm considering trying a Multi-GPU setup for the first time because of the low power requirements.I feel labeling it a mid range card is insulting the card itself, but hey if it means a lower price for this performance and quality, then i'm not complaining

Comment:
My last gaming system was using a Radeon X800, yeah it was THAT old! I built a new system with this card and so far the performance I got out of it is GREAT. I have a 24 monitor, I wish I had the money for the 5850 but I settled to play the most demanding games in 1680x1050 instead of my monitor's native 1920x1200. I'd rather have all the eye-candy at a lower resolution than playing with crippled features.I tried the Unigine Heaven demo which showcases DX11's tesselation feature and I think it really makes a huge difference, as the roads and building actually have the texture come out instead of being flat. I have yet to witness a real game that uses that feature. One thing I really like is the fact that when you're doing word processing / surfing the net the card drops down to 157 Mhz core / 300 Mhz memory which is a great power saver. It's like SpeedStep for Intel CPU's and works just as great. Now the drawbacks: I have the card as pictured, which I wanted because it exhausts hot air outside the case (in my configuration this is an absolute necessity because of the design). In idle, the noise is not TOO bad (default fan speed is 30% I think), but as soon as you get into a game it ramps up quite a bit and definitly is the noisiest component of my system. I wish a 3rd party would come up with a better cooling solution that would also take the hot air out of the case while using a bigger fan for a much lower noise output...Of course this card doesn't support Physx, which is still a "gimmick" in today's games. I guess if Nvidia opened up the technology to Ati owners they would lose even more business... I remember reading some time ago that they even blocked PhysX altogether if your main card is ATI and you have a second Nvidia only for PhysX.Last thing to notice is I have some stability issues, I suspect and definitly hope it's software-related. I'm on Win7 x64 and I installed the latest 10.2 right away. I've never had a crash in a game yet, it always happen on the desktop while doing various tasks, even just sitting there. Either the display will become unresponsive for 5 seconds (the mouse move but nothing happens when I click on anything), or I start seeing green squares in some portions of the screen while I move my mouse. In either case Catalyst Control Center detects this and resets the card (this cause a black display for 2 seconds). This hasen't happened too often yet and only once did my display became totally unresponsive requiering a hard reset. It's still buggin me... for the price I paid I expect 100% stability.I read on some forums a lot of possible solutions, I have yet to try any of them. One of them says something about having higher clock in idle mode (edit a XML file to change the values to 200/400 or more instead of 157/300). This even seems to be necessary for those who have dual-monitors which is not my case. I'll wait for 10.3 should be out very soon, I hope they're going to fix this...

Bought this card because the 4890 was discontinued. This card is ok for the money, but if you have more defiantly go 5850 or higher. Fan can become load at times, especially in-game. All-in-all it does the job, better than my old 6600gt

The fan is noisier than I expected it to in-game, could be silent on desktop since the temperature is so low. But otherwise this card is fantastic, low price, run everything, will run everything for a while at max graphics on my pc. Quite happy with my purchase.Last card I bought new started having artifact just a few days after purchase (diamond). The company's guarantee was horrible. I recommend always going with a company which back up their product well nowadays, less risky.

Overall a great card, was able to max out all the video settings in COD:MW2 and BF:BC2. The ability to have mulitple monitors setup to panoramic view is outstanding. No issues setitng up on vista or windows 7. For the price the performance was exceptional. I would recomend this card to anyone looking to get top notch performance on any size monitor.

Cons: - Not much to complain about except the fan noise is loud past 60% fan speed. Below 60 I can't hear it past my 120 mm intake fan.

Pros: -Low Temperature Idles at 30 C-Low Wattage, runs on 1 6 pin (amazing) and benches as much as a HD4870 (but 70 W less and doesn't have a 70 C idle temp)-Sleek design for a $174 dollar card. Great external exhaust (not much hot air gets pulled into the case. 90% gets pushed through the outside vent)-has no issues whatsoever with my brand new windows 7 x64 computer. Like the guy below me I had random freezing but I found out it was a driver issue and not the video card. After I updated windows 7 and dled the latest drivers for all my hardware, I never got the freezing again.
Comment:
Great video card. No problems whatsoever-if you get freezing on your x64 windows 7, update  for all the patches and get the latest drivers for all your hardware

Bought this card to replace my aging 512mb 8800GT on a Q6600 system with 4Gb ram, running Windows 7; and it is unbelivable. It is leaps and bounds better in in-game performace with the new card. Just finished the single player of Battlefield Bad Company 2, and a bit of multiplayer, and it runs on max specs without a stutter.Another note is that it is running with a corsair vx450 powersupply; no need for 650w+ unless you have crossfire.

Cons: ATI Drivers are lacking, fan noisy to compensate heating

Pros: Fast, DirectX 11 compliant
Comment:
This card is great from a power consumption (low) and a graphical quality perspective. I'm running two in crossfire mode and I can run basically anything 1920x1200 8xAA High quality everything. First problem i've had is freezing and grey screening (Windows 7 64bit btw). The grey screening is now gone as of catalyst 10.2 but hard computer freezes that require reboot are still occurring, and no card overheating isn't the issue here (it's well compensated for using Afterburner). Bioshock will last maybe 20 or 30 minutes, left 4 dead two about the same, dragon maybe a few hours, but inevitably all will freeze. I'm giving ATI a chance to rectify with drivers but new buyers (especially those with 64bit vista or windows 7) be warned this card as of this writing is by no means perfect. When the drivers are ironed out it'll be a great cheap directx 11 card, until then maybe go with a nvidia gtx 260 or something.

Cons: It is a bit of a beast, so make sure you have room. It fit fine into my case (Sonata 2), but covers up a PCI slot on my motherboard.

Pros: Lots of interface options (HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI). Powerful card.
Comment:
Decent price (if you can catch it on sale) for a good card. Definitely have seen a performance increase (Windows 7 gives is a 7.4 rating) and it runs most games that I've tried on max settings (Unreal Tournament 3 more notably). Make sure you've got the room to support it too. Also, would not recommend it with the M2N-SLI Deluxe motherboard (see "my computer will not boot" forum thread).

I bought this card in the first week of Jan. to upgrade from my ati 4670 that couldn't run mw2 maxed out. I fell back on my 4670 because my gtx 260 died on me after four months with nv4_disp.dll driver error.so far i'm running this card with an Asus m2a-vm, amd 4200+ o 3.1ghz 4gb ddr2-800 on Win xp home.my monitor is an Acer 23in model number X233H res 1920x1080mw2 maxed out I get about 88fps, in cod4 it runs 91-125 fps, Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 I get about 130-150fps depending on what's going on if there isn't a lot of zombies attacking me it goes up to about 180-200fps.over all this card is great. been reading a lot of reviews and although they are having a lot of problems mine has run great. only turned the computer off once or twice to move from one room to another or to bring to a friends for gaming.I disabled sleep mode, and screen saver on desk top so I haven't had any bsod coming back from sleep or being idle. my Computer runs 24/7 and only restarts after auto updates every monday morning at 3a.m.over all performance i'd compare it to my evga gtx 260 core 216 when I had it running with my phenom 9950 o 3.0ghz. if I upgrade to ddr3 and and am3 quad i'm sure my performance will increase quite a bit from running on my current dual core.

Cons: Heatsink blocks next port on X58

Pros: Very good card, 2 DVI ports.
Comment:
Because this video card conflicts with another PCI-E port on the X58 motherboard, I cannot put this card in the primary slot and my 8800GT in the secondary slot. The primary one is now the 8800GT however my main monitor is plugged into the 5770. The difference between the 2 is amazing, and my 8800GT alone could play Modern Warfare 2 on extra high settings. I have yet to find a good game (besides Crysis), that will fully utilize the immense power of this video card.4 Stars because of the heatsink. I'll be sure to buy a thinner card next time (and probably SLI).

Cons: Flashing at top of screen in FSX, bombs out and locks computer. Several forums on subject.

Pros: Fast FPS, crisp colours, easy to install, does need power hook up.
Comment:
See Tom's hardware for review of this issue, it is quite common it seems and ATI may need to issue new drivers or flash everyone's BIOS to fix it, I will have to return it, it seems to run in games OK and then shut down in idle or on desktop. Something to do with RAM voltages , I have clocked it below factory settings to try and solve it for now. It will be satisfactory if problem gets solved,it may be all 5*** series. Dave Erskine from AMD says it is only a small number affected of 5700 and 5800 series and they should have a fix soon. hotfix 9.12 has been offered as a solution, also leaving computer with screeb saver only, no sleep or hard drive shutdown options.

If you could spend another hundred dollars, go with the 5850. However if you can't, then 5770 is probably your best bet because it can be crossfired laterwards which would be very effective.Overall, very satisfied with the performance of this card
